Have an old iPad, iPad 2. New iPad is faster, better resolution, better camera and weighs much less.

Got this iPad to replace my very old one and love it. Easy to use, faster speed, and sharp looking.

The size is perfect as is the weight. The speed is excellent! The 9.7 makes this my best iPad yet.

This is our third iPad and they keep getting better and better. The product is fool proof and each time we turn it on it just works for our needs. BestBuy always sells them to us at incredible prices and their staff is so knowledgeable, that we frequently ask the salespeople questions on other products also. Anyways - great job BB and Apple.

long battery life, amazing display, very good performance, great operating system, i give this excellent review, i recommend it to anyone. if you don't care about the pencil or the keyboard then buy this one , if these 2 features are important then you have to go with the iPad pro

The iPad (5th generation, release data March 24, 2017) is the lowest-priced new iPad model from Apple yet. It has most of the same qualities of the previous non-pro model, the iPad Air 2. Comparing to the iPad Air 2, the differences are (+ denoting a positive; - a negative): + Faster processor (40%-60% faster according to reviews) + Brighter screen + Lower price ($170 less in listed price for the lowest priced model) - A bit thicker (by 0.05 inches/1.3 mm); similar to the iPad Air - Screen is not laminated or has the anti-reflective coating - This makes tapping on the screen feel strangely hallow at first, if you are used to the iPad Air 2 Overall, I think this is the iPad to get for general tablet usage unless there are specific reasons to get an iPad Pro instead for at least twice the price of an iPad.

This iPad is lightweight and has a great camera, the screen is crisp and images are very clear!

Bought this for my wife to use in her speech therapy. A stroke resulted in her losing right side functions and speech. Apps for adult speech therapy are available and work well on this I Pad. Perfect size and easy for her to manipulate.

I have always wanted an i-pad.....I have had a competitors's (smaller) tablet for about 5 years, but a little outdated. So, my husband did a little researching and found the newest model on sale at Best Buy. I ordered it online and picked it up at our local Best Buy the same day! I absolutely LOVE it! It's a 9.7 inch screen-gold backing and really easy to navigate. Also purchased a good looking case for it online.

This is my first I-pad. Had an LG tablet before. This is wonderful. Good size. fast. light.

I had an iPad 2 for years. Worked well for me. Needed a newer model. I like apple products.

Often other retailers will lower prices on certain popular items, only for you to show up and find they are ‘sold out’ Nope, BB had the best price and inventory. I have Windows, Android, and iOS tablets and must say the iPad is still the best in this format. The 5th gen iPad has no new bells or whistles but for everyday use, email, YouTube, web browsing, this is the standard. Again got it at a great price.

The speed and battery life on the new iPads are much better and so is the camera pictures.

I purchased the iPad for my mother as Apple is extremely easy to use with iOS. This tablet in particular is beautiful. As with most Apple devices, they're quick speedy little buggers and extremely simple to use as long as you're not attempting to do anything outside of the box. For my mother, she wants it to use while on her treadmill to read books, synchronize her devices and keep track of her workouts.

This is my fifth iPad, (one 1st Gen Mini, which I still use. Great e-reader.) and all things being equal probably the best available. Factor in speed, beautiful screen, (Big deal on the non-laminated screen and anti-glare, virtually non issues. People are even complaining about the 2 vs 4 speakers. Man, they're loud and you can hear BASS!!) and that very attractive price, and it's the winner in my book. I've had it for 1 1/2 months and enjoy it tremendously. You cannot go wrong unless you MUST have the larger 12.9" PRO screen or need the ipencil. A great upgrade unless you have a pro or Air 2. Air? tossup if in nice shape or you go for a refurb. Even then I'll take the new one. Incidentally, I ROUTINELY get 12-13 hours of battery. (Screen at 50-60% so it doesn't blind me!) My guess is apple didn't want to give it more of an edge and move those on the fence buying the 2017. Bigger battery equals more battery life. You can't go wrong.

I upgraded from iPad mini 2 and man I should have sooner. Way faster and way better display. I wanted another mini, but I’m very happy that I went with the bigger screen. The display is awesome and internet browsing is way! Faster for me that is the biggest 2 things. Speed and display. It also doesn't hurt to have all the extras that the mini 2 didn’t. Over all I’m very impressed and use it every day!

I ordered the iPad on Thanksgiving and it then went down in price 2 hours later. I called and was told to call back on the 28th for a price adjustment. I called back and was told the person gave me incorrect information, but the guy honored the price match. The iPad came as expected in great condition. I like the size and ease of use of the iPad. I have an older iPad and the transition was seamless.

now that the "regular" ipads have come down in price since the release of the pro versions, it's the best time to finally grab one. what used to be 700 is now 350. super fast, light, and easy for older people to pick up. was a great gift for a grandparent.

iPad is perfect balance of screen size, resolution, speed and overall performance.
