Bought one for my mom as a Mother’s Day present and had to get this gold one for myself. If you’re an iPhone user (or another iOS device using iOS 11) it is super easy to set things up. Just put your devices next to each other and within minutes your iPad is ready for use with your apps and data synced and ready to go. Nice size (not too big, not too small). Light weight so holding it in one hand isn’t a problem. Of course you’ll definitely want a case that stands or another accessory if you want to watch movies without holding it. Powers up fast and moves between tasks with ease. Great battery life so far. Camera is adequate but if you’re looking for top iPad camera options the iPad Pro may better fit your needs. Neither has a camera that truly lives up to the iPhone X or 8/8 Plus (or 7S Plus for that matter) but it works. FaceTime camera isn’t stellar but it’s not terrible either. Overall if you’re looking for a nice iPad that can handle most users needs (including Apple Pencil compatibility if that’s important to you) then this is a great option at a more wallet-friendly price.

I bought this iPad for work and I love it. It’s fast and just works which is what I want. Now to be fair, I do think the pro series is a bit better. The Pro’s screen is laminated and this has a bit of an air gap. Despite this, I would buy it again. The display does support Apple Pencil so that’s a plus. And the battery is fantastic. But I really love the OS. The latest version of iOS just works for me. I do have a couple of recommendations, however. I would buy the 128 gig version over 32. I would also consider upgrading iCloud if you plan to use a ton of documents across multiple devices. Overall, this is the perfect device for remote workers who don’t need a full desktop computer. I highly recommend. Pros: light, lots of battery, fantastic display, great battery support. Cons: not a desktop replacement, speaker quality is just okay, this is not a pro device.

I have had an iPad mini since 2013. This new 9.7 is light years ahead. The A10 chip is much faster and the ability to multitask is awesome. The graphics are very good as usual for Apple products and the build quality is amazing. I could not justify the expense of the Pro for what I do with it so this one and 128 gigs is more that enough for me. I would have gone for the 32 gig but couldn't pass up the Pre Black Friday sale price of 329.00 for the 128 gig model. I love the Space Gray, the size is really great especially when your coming from the Mini on this 9.7 sixth gen. It is incredibly easy to set up and it pulled many settings from my iPhone 8 when initializing. I got black friday Zagg glass for it and a nice rotating Targa case for almost half off so I'd say I am a happy camper with this deal and this iPad. Should last me for a few years for sure.

Honestly I loved my 6th gen iPad it lasted me from 2019 until 2024 with no issues. I love that it was compatible with the Apple Pencil 1st gen.

This was a great buy for the price. Got lucky and bought it on a Christmas sale! It was unfortunately rose gold and not “gold”. It’s a bit feminine for my husband but he still loves it! It is much faster and narrower than his old one while not losing screen size, and it’s light weight as well. It has plenty of memory to handle many updates and apps through the next couple of years and to be able to download movies for travel. His last iPad was too outdated after 5-6 years to do the job anymore. But the new one is still virus protected from Apple which is why we still stick with their products.

I've used several tablets and the iPad line by far and away is the best out there. They cost a bit more but they last much longer and work much smoother that you can get several years more out of it than any competition. If you're looking for a tablet for basic games, watching videos and web surfing this is the perfect device. I bought this to supplement an iPad from five or six years ago (although that one is still running great) for an upcoming trip for my children to use. But I used it first at a conference and coupled with the Apple Pencil was able to take all my notes easily and electronically. The 128 GB space is enough for plenty of apps and movies for long trips.

I've slowly converted to Apple hardware. First I got the iPhone. Next was this tablet and it doesn't disappoint. I've learned I have less patience now so I value Apple stuff just working out the box. I'm sure there are better tablets (iPad Pro?) and maybe even better budget options (Amazon tablets?). But for an all-purpose tablet at a good price you can't go wrong here. Fast performance, light weight, decent camera, gorgeous screen. It has it all. Apple pencil support if that's important to you but I haven't tried it yet.

My iPad puts a square around any characters or apps and Siri says what the character or app is. It won't let me into apps.

There is nothing negative to say about the iPad 2018. The retina screen continues to be a marvel to look at. The speed and responsiveness of apps, powered by the A10 processor, is superb. The iPad is light, plus the bezels are only as big as they need to be. The price is right, $399 for the 128 GB model is a great deal. There is no better selection of apps for a tablet. In summary, this is perfection. No electronic device I own is on par. I tried using a MacBook Pro Retina and it could not hold a candle to the iPad. Buy with confidence. Period.

The latest 2018 iPad (6th Generation) is excellent. I use it almost everyday to check the news. It's a fast, lightweight, and efficient iPad, and it was less expense than the iPad Pro. I also prefer it's 9.7 inch size, which approximately the size of a thin book. The iPad lasts for hours on a single charge, and it also works with the first generation Apple pencil.

Bigger than I expected which was a nice surprise. Very light weight. Super fast. Didn't need many updates. This was the most up to date and easiest apple product to set up. I love the touch ID and saving passwords especially because this is for my mom who is 76 and forgets her passwords. This makes it so much less frustrating for her. If you are unsure to get this one or the lesser price one with less storage. Get this one! Those photos, apps, messages add up fast! I was lucky to get this on prime day, Best Buy matched the price. No hassles! And I was able to get the color I wanted from Best Buy unlike elsewhere. My only complaint isn't really with Best Buy but UPS shipping SurePost. It actually arrived early at my post office and sat there for 2 days. As this was a birthday gift for my mom, it was quite annoying. I went to the post office but they would not let me pick it up. I wish there were more shipping options. I'd pay extra to just have UPS deliver. Item arrived in perfect condition and my mom is very happy. Thank you Best Buy!

I’ve owned several different iterations of the iPad since it’s original release back in 2010. I was looking into the Pro-series of iPads, was disappointed that I missed out on the 9.7 version. Once Apple announced that they would provide Apple Pencil support AND at a discounted price, I knew I needed to get my hands on this new iPad. Overall I am impressed at how seemless it operates with the newer and more powerful A10 fusion chip. It is snappy and so far no lag when opening multiple windows. I purchased the 128GB version and was able to download a lot of material such as videos, books and comics. I am getting used to the Apple Pencil and the apps associated with it. This is by far the best iPad I’ve owned. Some cons about it regarding its size. The major problems I’ve had with each new edition is that you have to purchase new cases. I was hoping that my old Air/Air 2 cases would fit. They can work but it’s a right fit. I ended up buying the Smart Cover for it along with a Tempered glass screen cover.

Thin and smooth (easy to drop...recommend buying a cover/iPad case). Upgraded to the 128 gb but kept the 9.1 screen size (same size as my old iPad...enough screen size for my usage). Great color, fast, downloading super easy... Would recommend.

My old IPad didn’t support software beyond IOS 10.0 - it was time to upgrade. I wanted something very similar, without “extras”- this tablet is a winner- same screen size as what I was used to; however, faster and double the memory at a great price.

The iPad 128 is the perfect tablet that connects to all your Bluetooth devices, has radios, you tube and always connects to networks with no problems. You can get games, fun ones, radios, typing applications, music, iTunes, and so many other applications. I have lots of books I read and I found out the iPad comes in even 512 gb. The iPad is basically what I call a portable computer. You can connect a keyboard and type wirelessly and you can surf the web too. That is what commputers are made for also, and the iPad is so portable and easy to put in a backpack, that I don’t use my computer anymore. You can get cases for them, put it on your lap, and even read your books in the coffee shop. Once your done you can connect your headphones and listen to radios, audio books, and your iTunes playlist. All in all the iPad does more than a computer, comes with up to 512 gb, and is a portable easy to carry computer. I have the 128 gb and it’s more than the memory I need. All in all this is a Best Buy!

Bought this 6th Gen iPad as an upgrade/replacement for a “kid tablet” for my high school aged grandson. Super glad I got the 128GB model vice the 32GB model so now he doesn’t have to worry about what he can download or store. He says battery drain is much slower than on his iPhone but it does seem to take much longer to charge once it is drained. My grandson and I have both Android and Apple products so the below are our opinions based on familiarity with both systems. Pros: Set up – easy to get set up and use right out of the box Battery Life – Excellent Screen Quality – Definitely not Samsung screen quality, but Very Good Eco system – Outstanding for educational Apps Build – Very durable Speaker sound – Not Bose quality, but very good and better than my iPhone Facetime built into the system is a big bonus Cons: Ram – Are you kidding me, only 2GB of ram in this day and age. Come on Apple. Siri - Sorry Apple, Siri is definitely an inferior product when compared to OK Google. Customizing – Extremely limited and what Apple chooses for you is all you get. Apple snooping – Apple wants to use your location all the time for practically everything. The reason I say this is if you turn off location many, many apps will not work. Many of these apps do not need your location but Apple forces you to accept it. User Account – limited to only 1 whereas Android tablets don’t have that restriction. Bottom line – very good product and he says it is lightweight and easy to carry in his backpack.

This iPad is very good. I got a deal on the 128gb model after BF this year. The processor and memory are sure future proof upgrades for years to come. This iPad gives you an entry into the Apple ecosystem without spending all that money in an iPad Pro model. Yes, the screen isn’t as good as the Pro models, but with Apple Pencil support & iOS12, the processor will fare just fine. This is a great entry level at an very affordable price. I just couldn’t force myself to spend $700/$800 on the new 11” iPad Pro when this one was $349 and will give you a very similar experience. I would recommend this iPad to anyone who doesn’t want to spend a lot of money on an iPad, doesn’t need Pro motion screen refresh, better screen, latest processor/features than comes in the iPad Pro line.

Great iPad. It’s nice to get the latest generation of iPad because everything works really fast. It’s got a good screen quality and doesn’t hang. I got this at a really good price at Best Buy, totally worth it.

I'm not an "apple" person. I have never owned any other apple product other than an ipod back in the early 2000s. I got this and the apple pencil because I'm a full time college student and I saw other people had them. They sold me on it and I was impressed how inexpensive it was for what it is. It is easy to use and I just use it for taking notes in class, writing on pdfs of my textbooks (no more carrying around books or worrying about permanent marks), and studying on the go. All thanks to this tablet and the apple pencil and the GoodNotes4 app. It works great and is really streamlined.
