Had a 32 gb air that was losing battery power - BestBuy had this 128 gb on sale for just a little more than I paid for my air 2 - much faster - better camera and vastly improved battery life - overall very happy

This is a great iPad at an unbelievable price. This is a very powerful iPad at a budget price. The Retina display is a huge upgrade over previous models. It is very fast. The screen is a perfect size.

I purchased this 6th generation iPad to replace my “two generations ago” iPad that had half the storage capacity. Having 128 gigs of storage is nice and having a slightly faster processor is nice too, otherwise there’s not a huge difference with this iPad vs my older iPad Air. I enjoy all the features of my iPad but I most enjoy reading on it...Kindle, Nook and iBook apps. Also, movies are more enjoyable on the larger screen iPads. In summary, this iPad is a nice upgrade if your current iPad is two generations or more behind. Or if you are a new iPad owner. I very much recommend it.

Updated our daughter’s iPad mini 2 with this one. Happy with the increased screen size, battery life and speed boost. Love that the Apple Pencil works with it. Overall stoked for the price point.

Hated hearing Apple was not making any more Minis after the 4th one (loved the size)..... so I patiently awaited this 6th edition of the 9.7 and so appreciate the speed and ease as well as the storage (treated myself to the 128 GB after months of deleting things on the mini). Big storage jump for me.... from16 GB to 128.....as with upgrading my IPhone 5 to the 8, truly miss the size of my mini as well as my IPhone 5, but I will survive. Now debating the pencil purchase.

As an aspiring teacher and math tutor, this device suits my needs extremely well! Lightweight enough to walk around with in the classroom. Excellent battery life. Speedy device for the educational uses and medium-high strength gaming that I use it for. The Apple Pencil (sold separately) support is what sold me on this in the end. I’ve become so accustomed to tablets with pen input, that I refuse to buy one without it. No other competitors have a tablet + precise stylus input, at this price range, that has this level of application support. I write out math problems for my students and it works flawlessly...and the kiddos find it amusing.

I don't know what I can say that has not already been said. Apple makes a good tablet. I'm personally an Android user but you have to to give it to Apple. I love my iPad. Some of the functions are a bit clunky but only by comparison to my Samsung phone. I wish I could pull down the menu at the top and select a different bluetooth option rather than go to settings but that is hardly a complaint because I only notice it by comparison. The battery life is great, it's quick and the screen is sharp. I use it mostly for internet browsing and streaming so if you need this for work I have no idea how it operates, but for me, I love it.

Bigger, faster, more memory than older model it replaced. Was able to transfer everything to new iPad. Pleased with the product. Price was reasonable. Sales people were helpful.

Owned a previous model 6-7 years Do the math on what gen . Carried the thing everywhere . Perfect weight for me but I did notice a slowdown. I returned a64 gb Air because I felt gonna buy a expensive gadget want the storage . Also have an ipad pro 11" that is more graphic intensive . Don't know about $500 worth . This is light as heck , perfect size for me , and graphics , game playing is good . Had the 2nd generation ipad . This is sure nice for the cost and my favorite overall considering weight , picture , etc . Miles ahead of second gen . Really , anything above this my hand gets tired .

If you are an Apple iPhone user, the Apple iPad is a win win for you! If your not, make the switch. You can begin with this iPad. Apple doesn't fail with this latest model; running circles around their older models. It might be upgrade time for you! This iPad is lightweight and powers up fast. The size is great. Perfect for small hands and large hands alike. Great when you need something smaller than a computer, but larger than a phone. Great sound! Screen resolution is amazing! Battery life is perfect. I can go days without charging it. Not a techy? Have no fear. This should be perfect for your needs!

I purchased this during a Best Buy promotion at a discounted price during a pre-Black Friday sale. I was looking for a basic iPad to supplement my iPad Mini 2 that I use all the time. I think it’s a great size for tablet computing- it’s a little easier on the eyes to read than the iPad Mini and the keyboard is larger which allows for easier typing for emails, text messages, etc. I also considered the iPad Pro 10.5. I was not interested in the brand new iPad Pro line from 2018 as that was much more than I needed, but again Best Buy offered a very good pre-Black Friday price on the 10.5 inch 2017 iPad Pro model. I compared the two side-by-side. The iPad 9.7 offered a tremendous value at the sale price and was a strong contender. I found it remarkably fast and responsive. The clarity of the screen is good, and it made for a definite upgrade over my old iPad Mini 2. However, I felt that the screen had too much glare and sounded a little plastic-like when tapped since it is not fully laminated. Visually, the air gap under the screen did not seem to be an issue. In the end, it was more a factor of the feel of the screen and the glare that was the deciding factor in the end. The iPad Pro 10.5 offered some additional features that I liked so I felt in the long run it was worth the extra money.

This is my second IPad, I have 4th gen that still works flawlessly, I bought this newest 6th gen 128g Ipad because I simply needed more storeage and I think the Apple Pencil will be fun to use. I haven’t purchased the Apple Pencil yet, it’s nearly a third of what this IPad cost and it’s just a tiny tool. So I’ll wait til I see them on sale. Apple products are quality and very easy to use. I have never had one bit of problem with my old IPad or my new one. I love it, I would never switch to another tablet brand. I do everything on this IPad, i don’t even have a use for my laptop anymore. Very happy with my purchase!

This is must faster and more clear than my old Ipad that I had for over 4years . I like the camera and speed compared to my old IPad And the larger screen and ease of use.

I’ve owned 4 iPads over the last 5 years. I loved my iPad 4. Still love my mini...(had two) what a great travel companion. But when disappointingly the 4 bit the dust after year 5 I believe....I replaced it with this newest version. My assessment is you will be pleasantly surprised especially at the price point this was on sale for before Thanksgiving. Excellent picture...clear and more crisp than prior models. Lighter weight. Fast. Great battery life. And supports the Apple pen which I haven’t quite figured out all the applications for them on it yet.. you won’t be unhappy with this purchase.

This iPad is great and handy. Used a iPad mini for years, but wanted to try a little bit bigger one because of writing so much. It does make a big difference and the battery life is good too !!! You can’t go wrong with a Apple product and this one is exceptionally nice just to set around and play with. It runs fast and stays connected to our internet very well. Won’t hesitate to buy another, which I did for the wife. We keep our iPad mini’s for backups and trips. Thanks Best Buy and a thumbs up for Apple again.

What a AWSOME choice! Upgraded A-10 Chip, perfect for travel, I love streaming DirectTV to Netflix, works like my Iphone & the Pen Function is great. Music to Games, It was so good, went back & bought another! Accessories are everywhere & I could NOT justify the Pro & double the money. Email to Word Processing. Airstream wirks like a dream. I connect to my ATT hot Spot via my Iphine 6S Plus! WV to Florida never a lost connection. WiFi calling & Facetime wotk great. Again for travel, its the bedt thing ever! 10 hours on a charge!

I’ve never had an iPad before and went back and forth between which one to buy for school to use for note taking..I ended up purchasing the 2018 model because of the price. It was a great decision and I can honestly say if you’re between this iPad or the Air, save the money and buy this one! It’s great for note taking, has an amazing battery life, a lot of storage (I have the 128 GB) and is easy to carry around. Definitely recommend for anyone who wants something that is portable and easy to use!

I remember when I got the 3rd generation iPad - the first “retina” version. I think I paid over $800 for the 64gb model - compared to now getting a super fast, super light 128gb model for under $400. Considering these things are creeping up to laptop-speed (more so for the Pro) - and now you can attach a keyboard and the pencil, this is almost all the computing device a lot of folks will need. Perfect for the non tech-savvy out there who just want a decent web / e-mail / multimedia device.
