After my iPad mini under contract conked out, I needed a replacement for a road trip. The screen space on the wifi-only iPad obviously exceeded that available on the iPad mini w/o the burden of adding another line under the contract with my wireless service provider.

This iPad is a replacement for a third gen. iPad mini. The updated hardware offers a refreshing boost in speed and display quality. The familiar OS makes me feel at home and the simple process of migrating from old to new keeps Apple iPad at the top of my preferred tablet list.

As the title states, skip all the cheapy kids' tablets and go straight for this. Yeah it's more but the use the kids get out of it more than pays for it tenfold. A big rubber case and YouTube kids installed and enjoy the silence on long car rides or just about anywhere.

Perfect iPad for my needs, just scrolling social, checking email, and playing some games. Great form factor, easy to use OS, and quality build. I would recommend to friends or family who are looking for an easy to use tablet.

Bought this for my fiance and he loves it. He has some vision impairment and was always squinting when looking at his phone. He says he is able to see this so much better. He also enjoys face timing with his dad, daughters, and new grandbaby! Best Christmas present ever!

So if you like Apple iOS you are probably fine with this pad. You are locked into firmware updates and at some point in a couple years Apple will slow your system to a craw to make you upgrade to a new one. Of course one of the biggest flaws is having no expansion slot for memory, instead of paying $10 for a 128GB card you have to pay $100 to upgrade 96GB. Well played Apple.

I bought this tablet for my 10 year old son. I picked the 32G which has been plenty of storage for the games he wants. I have enjoyed the Apple Family Share feature that lets me tie his tablet to my Apple account and the. approve the apps he wants before he loads them.

Picked this up for my grand mother-in-law to use to keep in touch with family through FaceTime and texting. She picked it up right away and found it easy to use and install her own apps to play with. It’s the perfect size for her too compared to the smaller mini or airs.

I was able to have past information down loaded. I was able to call Apple and have them help me hook up my wifi printer so that I could print and that worked quickly. I like the brighter colors. And the camera is great to take pictures of my new grandson.

So this is the new 2018 9.7" iPad that was announced by Apple at the special Education event. In comparison to last year's 9.7" iPad, this iPad boasts a better processor and apple pencil capability. Some disadvantages you may or may not notice while using the product is the screen is not laminated so there's a layer of glass between the screen and the user's fingers or apple pencil, it's more profound if you have an iPad Pro beside but otherwise, you might not even notice it. The camera is of average quality, again not probably something you will notice unless you have another iPad or iPhone to compare to. One interesting note is the inclusion of the first generation TouchID sensor versus the ones you find in the latest iPad Pros and iPhones, my first instinct is that it works fine but maybe a little slower and not as consistent as the second generation but that's the tradeoff Apple made for the pricing.

THIS IS THE BEST PURCHASE I MADE. I PLAY SUDUCO AND WORDSCAPE ON IT EVERY DAY. I ALSO READ MY E-MAIL AND SEND OUT E-MAIL. THE BATTERY HOLDS A CHARGE REAL GOOD AND I CHARGE IT EVERY SECOND OR THIRD DAY. THE IPAD UPGRADED TO THE LATEST VERSION. MY OLD IPAD WAS A APPLE 4.

I got this and thought it was small, so I got the iPad Pro, but eventually I found out this is the superior device as long as you don’t need the processing power, it’s lighter, has Touch ID, and has a headphone jack.

I use this mainly for watching movies while I'm out of the house, it's perfect for that. I've enjoying using the kindle app on it as well. I chose the iPad because it's a much more affordable tablet for what I'm going to be using it for and I trust Apple products.

I got this for taking notes in Med school and using my ebooks. It's amazing. I tell everyone who doesn't have one, to get one. It's amazing for school, I love it!

Such an amazing product, it seems a complete brand new product. The new Apple Pencil suits really good with the iPad. The shape is also comfortable. The speeds processor is faster than past generation.

I recently upgraded to this from the iPad mini that I used for about 4 years. We still own the old one and it works great and his survived a couple of short drops around he house. This new iPad hopefully won’t have to go through that. It runs great, smooth and fast.

For $249 you get a great tablet. No, the sound and pic isn’t quite as good as the IPad Pro, but the performance is right on par Otho. Save hundreds of dollars and get the IPad- one caveat: if you download a lot of movies, spend a little more and get 128gb.

Never owned a iOS device before. Always use Android or windows for my work. I wished I would had purchased this sooner. Easy to navigate and works great. I would recommend this and I would buy another.

This version of iPad does everything I need. It is fast and I have never had any issue with it. I thought about some of the Pro versions, but could not find anything I would do with those that I could not do with this one - at a much lower cost.

This iPad was a birthday gift from my wife. She was tired of me using her iPad all the time. Totally impressed with this device. Setup was very easy. I enjoy the good quality graphics. Excellent product.
