I picked this up just to use to stream movies while traveling or in bed. It works great. I’m sure the newer iPad can do more but I wanted something simple that I know would be able to download apps like Netflix and other streaming platforms with ease. I previously had a Amazon device and I got tired of all the adds and some apps not downloading properly. So to me this worked great.

For the price it’s great, especially if it was going to be for my child. Good size.

I got this as an upgrade to my iPad Air 2 and I must say I like it! It’s much faster than my Air 2 and that’s all I really wanted. I had been considering a Pro but I just didn’t want to spend that much when I wouldn’t use it to its full capabilities. I draw but I’m not a graphic artist. I take a lot of notes so since the new iPad is Apple Pencil compatible I pick one up also. I haven’t used any iPad I’ve owned as much as I use this one with the Pencil.

I was in the market for a new tablet device. I have an older Samsung Tab 8.0 and am currently using it as my alarm clock and want it to stay bedside. I decided to join the "Evil Empire" this time around due to the fact that the Apple Pencil works on the less expensive regular iPad. It works great! I use it mainly for art and surfing the 'net. If you are looking for a less expensive alternative to a Wacom Cintiq tablet, this will work well for you.
