Bought 5th Gen last month at very low price and was impressed. New 6th gen with A10 is faster with side to side comparison against A9 chip. Will purchase a pen in future. This is another solid basic tablet from Apple that Samsung can't touch with price or performance yet. Used to be an Android tablet fan but Ipad won me over.

This is no longer a luxury to have but definitely a necessity for students to own and carry with them. Not only, it’s lightweight, compact, dependable, easy to use but most of all it’s a big asset to any student. This version has a long lasting battery

Sleek and good looking. Easy to migrate from our previous unit. Works fast and does not seem to have any issues. We did experiance some apps having trouble staying connected to our WiFi but I supsect that is the app and not the unit. We use it as an educational tool for our son who is Autistic and is now home schooled. Works great for that. Also the screen, sound and response time are great. Size also seems to be just right. Although I am a network Engineer and have never been a fan of Apple since the early 80's, this unit really fits our needs. We also got it on sale so the price was right as well. Apples prices I feel are always way over priced and they do need to re-evaluate that. Make it up in volume guys like the rest of the world. You might win over some of us who think you have an ok product but price drives us away.

Apple is known for simplicity and this iPad is not exception to it. There are practical many apps for you to run that fits what you’re trying to do. All of this while being very light and running very smoothly. I go about a few days before I charge my device fully. The pricing is decent. The only issue is buying different components for the iPad such the case or stylus, but ultimately that’s up to necessity and can be avoided all together. This device works well with the Apple Pencil.

The new iPad is a powerful tablet for the average person using it for media, browsing, games, etc. It is light weight, has a great battery, and beautiful screen. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great tablet for a great price.

    Good for College

I’m a college student and most of my classes are online. I consider myself tech savvy. I love being able to take notes on one device and have them sync to all my others. I have quite a few classes now that I have to take handwritten notes for, but I still wanted them to sync to my laptop and phone for on the go studying. I’m extremely pleased that Apple updated to allow the Apple Pencil to work with the IPad and the IPad Pro because it allowed me to save a little extra money, as I primarily use my iPad for notetaking and classes, I didn’t necessarily need the extra bells and whistles of the Pro. I own all Apple products and I’ve had the IPad 9.7” and the Apple Pencil for about 2 months now and I haven’t had a problem aside from the app I use for notes (Microsoft OneNote) to lag a little. Though, I doubt the devices are causing the lag. It takes a little to get used to writing on the IPad, because you don’t have that direct ink to paper contact, but you quickly get used to it. I bought the IPad in Space Gray and I am happy with it’s size, weight, and functionality.

This was the lowest priced new iPad at the time and it is fantastic. I did not need much, I was really looking forward to using a tablet to write notes electronically and the iPad paired with the app GoodNotes 5 delivers wonderfully. Great for a student looking to go paperless or anyone needing the basics instead of a laptop. I really like the ability to split the screen with two apps (some don’t have that ability but most do) or the ability to have a small pop out screen for the notes app, music, and messages is basically the same sized screen as an iPhone 11. Definitely worth learning all the subtle new features of the iPad OS.

Recently upgraded to the latest version and really happy that I did. The newer model has more storage, it's faster, and intuitive. For example when I move emails to a folder, it remembers which folder to place it in. It also saves passwords which my older model did not do. Overall, I'm very pleased with the product. Could I get more with the Pro model? I'm sure I could, but really didn't need it. For the money, this iPad is fantastic.

I've resisted getting an Apple iPad for years. Although my wife loves hers, I just never felt the need since I always thought my PC and iPhone sufficed. But when they released this next generation, less expensive iPad and Best Buy put it on sale along with some Reward dollars I had stashed, I just couldn't resist. I find the size to be just perfect for recreational use like playing a game or browsing the net during TV time. The speed is great (compared to my wife's older iPad) and the way it synched and copied over all my apps from my iPhone made setup super easy. And I find the extended battery life amazing. All in all, a really great value for all you get. Nice!

They are now half the price of the original (v1) and aren't space heaters (the originals RAN hot). They are fast, light, cheap, and the screens are fantastic.

I absolutely love my new IPAD. It is so easy to use and the price I paid was great at $249.99. It was on sale so you have to keep an eye out for a deal like this. It is usually about $329.00. Getting it for this price made it possible for me to get the Apple Care as well. I got the rose gold color which I love. It is so easy to look at emails and other apps because of the size and sometimes I watch movies on it too, which is great. I am so glad I finally dove in and purchased it as I was going back and forth for months on whether it would be really be worth it. Now I can sincerely say that it was absolutely worth it!

I debated between this and the mini, thinking that maybe I would utilize the mini more because it'll be more convenient to travel with than my 15 inch laptop... and having a laptop already, this might be a wasteful purchase... I'm so glad I went with this one! The price point was my biggest motivator, but it turns out that it's the perfect size to do work on the go, with the bluetooth keyboard case I had purchased with it. It's so fast, the graphics are aesthetically gorgeous, and it's light even with my keyboard. I used to have an older model iPad, and it's truly come a long way.

Awesomeness..is that even a word? I don't know but it sure describes how I feel about my new iPad! It is lightning fast, and really light. The screen is beautiful and the two stereo speakers on the bottom sound great! This one allows use with the Pencil also. I had the 2017 version briefly as that one had screen issues and returned it. So glad I did. This 2018 version although basically identical except for the A10 processor makes it perform so much better/smoother. Apparently that A10 makes a big difference. Buy it, you will love it as much as I do mine! Best Buy had it for $299 when no one was putting it on sale yet. Great deal!

My daughter had been wanting an iPad pro because she is an artist, and when this came out, in a reasonable price range I was so excited to get it for her. Granted the screen size is not as big as the 12.9, but for my daughter the iPad pro 9.7 was a good starter to see how she liked doing artwork on iPad pro. Needless to say she loves it. Plenty of art apps for her to choose from, and explore her artistic abilities outside of drawing. The iPad pro 9.7 also acts as a laptop ( bought keyboard to go with..a must) and she loves it. So if you are looking to save a bit if money, the iPad pro 9.7 is a great buy

This is a solid tablet for all basic functions plus some advanced functions. Great for school kids as it covers all the needs to write essays, take notes, monitor emails, conduct research, make presentations, etc... Great for the everyday adult that wants a bigger screen to do advanced functions, rather than relying on a cell phone. All around solid piece of tech at a reasonable price. I've had one of these shortly after they were introduced and because it worked so well for one of my kids, I bought another to replace my other kid's Samsung tab S4.

The last Apple product I owned and purchased was an iPod Classic many years ago. From that time up until most recently, I have avoided Apple products. The iPhone? Not my liking. The iPad? Same. I had no interest in either of those, as I have used Android for years. But things have started to change in the tablet landscape on Android. It got.... worse. My last tablet is a Nexus 9, manufactured by HTC. It was a cool device at the time. But for some unknown reason, performance has started to slow down to a crawl. It got to the point where I couldn't stand it any longer. And the current market for Android tablet is rather dismal, especially since I do not want to compromise on anything. Samsung's offering on the high end was more expensive than this iPad model. And there's nothing else in the horizon for Android tablet. Coming from Android, it has taken me a few days to get used to how things work in iOS -- how to move icons, how to make app folders, etc. Using the iPad is different. But one of the biggest drawback to using iOS is being unable to arrange your icons the way you like it. I like clean interfaces, especially for the home screen. I have tons of anime/manga illustrations and they all look pretty. And it's a darn shame I can't give those images the kind of love that they can get on Android devices. Other than that, the user experience has been good, as I expected anyway. The hardware is beefy and so far, it has lasted on idle without a recharge far longer than I expected. There isn't much to criticize on for the quality of the product. But it's not all sunshine and roses. Initially, when setting up the iPad for the very first time, it prompts me to activate. As to why, I do not know. However, it failed to activate. Wireless network settings checked out OK. And when that failed, I had to yank out my guinea pig laptop and try to activate it thru iTunes. That also failed. Frustrated at how this could be happening, I Googled the issue. Turns out that Apple uses something so proprietary and so suspicious that my router's firewall blocked it. How? Why? I don't know. All I know is that Apple should not force me to work around this problem by placing the iPad in the DMZ temporarily just to activate it. Despite the initial setup hiccup, I'm not entirely convinced that Apple and iOS is the superior mobile device platform. I'm more comfortable with Android as a whole. But in the tablet space, Android is the biggest loser. As a device user, I use whatever works. So if you're in the market for a tablet, don't bother with an Android tablet unless it's made/designed by Google. And since there is none (in the $300-$400 price bracket), the only option is to go for the iPad. And unlike Samsung's Android tablet offerings, you'll get security and iOS updates faster and sooner (as opposed to waiting 3-6 months).

I have had many iPads and this one is the best so far. I wasn’t sure about moving up in size to the 12.9, but so glad I did! Beautiful quality, vibrant colors and feel of this iPad is fantastic. Light weight despite its size. Love the battery life too, considerably longer than my previous iPad Pro, by a lot! If you use the Apple Pencil, you’ll need to get the next gen. as the 1st gen does not work with the new iPad, but it’s worth it, I love the new pencil too as it charges by simply being magnetized to the top/side of the iPad.
