I bought this product to replace my original gen 1 iPad. It has sharper imagery, lighter, faster to use. I would recomend this product to anyone looking for a tablet.

This is my first tablet. All in all, it is everything i expected. My primary use for it is business presentations and it works great for that. battery life is fantastic but it does take a lot longer than I expected to charge back up. Iam talking more than 3 hours!

I previously owned a Kindle Fire HDX. While I still think the Fire is a great product, the IPad Air is second to none. I love this product and could not be happier.

I bought this for my wife for Christmas and as she has said "It is the best Christmas present I didn't know I wanted." She has practically not put it down since I bought it for her. She uses it for email, Facebook, games/apps, note taking, watching Netflix and YouTube, and not much else (yet). She has had a Nook Color (running CyanogenMod) and a Samsung Galaxy S III, so she's been comfortable with Android devices. She thinks the apps and games on the iPad are vastly superior, even the one that are supposed to be "the same". Highly recommend the iPad for anyone with these kinds of home user needs.
