I upgraded from the II and this is a little better except for the battery life. It seems to run down sooner.

My daughter cannot put it down. She reads her books, listens to music and takes pictures of her friends. She finds it very easy to navigate.

Replacing a stolen ipad 2, ipad air is much faster and better resolution it is great for netflix and surfing, pictures look great on it as well.

Come from the Windows world, although, I do have an iphone. Takes a little practice to get up to speed.

Now that the newest iPad Air 2 is out, the reduced pricing on the original iPad Air convinced me to get one. I have played around with friends/relatives iPads and Android tablets over the years, and while I would say the better Android tablets have some good features, you really can't go wrong with iPad's overall look and feel and historic ability to retain value over time. (I have a ~4 year old iPhone 4 that still works great). I'm sure the latest Air 2 is "better," but the Air does not feel "old" by any stretch of the imagination.
