This replaced a iPad 2 for my mother. It's lighter, faster, easier to see and more responsive. She loves it and the Facetime camera is great. Very clear, sharp picture.

Recently I found myself traveling for work more and realized the benefit of having a tablet. when it comes to phones, I am more of an android guy and for a while debated which OS I should go with. We already had an IPad 2 and had been pretty reliable. In fact it's still going. After taking into consideration what I was going to do with the tablet (check email, video chat with family, and stream movies) and seeing this model on sale, it was a pretty clear choice. I was able to easily import my contacts and calendar from my gmail account with no problem. Any apps I purchased on my old iPad trasfered over as well. Screen is clear, the sound is better, and battery lasts me days. (Varies on usage.) This IPad so far has met my needs perfectly.

This is th best ipad yet. Its smaller, slimmer and alot lighter than other ipads. The battery along time. This product is worth its price. Its very user friendly. I highly recommend this product. Another plus is that I can use it for hours and it never gets hot.

Took me forever to finally get the iPad of my dreams, or so I thought *(I'll explain later). The iPad Air was a Christmas gift from my wife, and fortunately Best Buy lowered the price on Black Friday so she was able to grab it for me. I am a photographer, and I wanted an iPad to showcase my images in the capacity it deserves. With the light weight iPad Air, I can show off images to my clients and future clients with the best imagery at hand. It's more of a digital portfolio to say the least. Back to my comment of it not being what I dreamt of. It surpasses my expectations so much so that I may need to get a higher capacity version. This being my first iPad, we got the 16 gig version, and I'm loading it up pretty quickly. But none the less, it's an Apple product, and yes, it was designed to please with ease of use. I have now included it in the apple product Eco system. Great investment.

Finally got a tablet after researching a few! Samsung has a great tablet but since I use an iPhone this was best for me to keep things streamlined across the devices. I used to have to drag out my laptop for everything Internet or productivity ... NO longer! This little helper is much more portable! I can't believe it took me so long to get on board ... Excellent product!

This is such a useful product. I use it for everything. Great for school and and simple web browsing. You can feel just how light it is from the moment you pick it up. Making it very mobile. With the A7 processor, it makes possible to do many tasks and still maintain great processing speed. With the Retina display, it makes everything you look at just look sharp and great. Pictures just look beautiful. Since now it uses two instead of one antenna and MIMO technology, you can twice the wi-fi performance. Thus making wi-fi speeds faster. You are also able to shop the App Store, the largest app market. Making it easy and possible to find just about any kind of app you are looking for.

I purchased this for my 80 year old father who would like to "play" on the computer. It was nice to be able to buy a smaller version of the IPad without all the bells and whistles at a lower price. He didn't need a lot of memory or any of the newer features. The price made it affordable to give as a gift. Now he just needs to figure it out!

The Apple ipad Air is truly a very light weight, sleek and as always a very user friendly device to use. The 9.7 inch size is perfect for movie watching and not too big or too small for other purposes. Genuinely recommended if you are a true Apple fan or even otherwise if you want to see, how great technological breakthrough this is.

Easy to set up out of the box and the price was right since the iPad Air 2 had just hit the stores. I bought this for my 73 year old Mother who lives out of state so we can FaceTime and text. . The big screen is easy for her to see and iMessage on the iPad is much easier than using the keyboard on her phone to text. Mom loves her iPad!

Apple has done some impressive things in the days since the iPod first came out. With the advent of the iPhone and the iOS operating system, things changed. Then came the iPad. A revolutionary new device, a vision from Jobs himself. The third and fourth iterations of the iPad were major improvements, with the Retina display, and an upgraded processor with each subsequent release. The fifth iteration, this new iPad Air, is the biggest improvement yet. While the Retina Display hasn't really changed in the three generations it's existed, it does of course continue to be a sharp, beautiful, high quality display. The hardware is a welcome improvement. Unfortunately, the memory has not been upgraded yet, but it's negligible. The processor has been upgraded to the new A7 processor, the first mobile processor built on 64-bit architecture, and the new M7 co-processor, for motion. The iPhone 5S was probably the main intent for this feature, but the motion processor still allows for some interesting innovation too come. Beyond that, I'm not exactly sure what else it's for at this point, but it's impressive nonetheless. The A7 on the other-hand, you really can feel and see the difference on many tasks. Unfortunately, iOS 7.1 is still a little buggy, and this potentially takes away some of the awesomeness you might otherwise see in the new processor, but that will improve with later iterations of iOS 7. Overall, it's still great software, and by far the greatest looking mobile operating system there it. Not clunky at all like android or windows, but fluid, dynamic, with depth. It's beautiful. Overall, the iPad Air is a fantastic piece of technology. The software is great despite its flaws, and it's gorgeous, the device itself is powerful and fast. The body is now tanner and lighter than any previous model, and with a thinner bezel, while keeping the same great screen size. The App Store is the largest of any mobile system. And since Apple requires a $99/year developer license to release apps in the App Store, the vast majority of iOS apps are made by people who are dedicated and care about what they create. They follow quality design standards and are well-built. A tablet is a vastly more intimate experience than a computer. The iPad, probably more so than any. If you want a fast, efficient, beautiful, tablet experience, this is for you. Whether you want it for content consumption, like mail, browsing the web, Facebook, YouTube, Netflix, etc, or for content creation such as writing, school, or business, I highly recommend this device. I hardly use my laptop. Well, I do use it, but this is my daily driver now. The iPad began my Apple conversion, after spending 25 years - basically my whole life - as a PC guy.

Apple products are always great. The iPad was purchased for my mother-in-law for Christmas. She had another tablet (not apple) that was very confusing and started to give her issues over time. She finds the iPad easier to use, faster, and is enjoying it every bit. The Best Buy salesperson was awesome and very informative.

I wanted the lighter more compact version of the iPad so I upgraded to the iPad Air. No regrets in making the move. Setup was super easy. All of my setup from the first iPad was automatic via iCloud except for passwords. The unit seems much lighter which I love. The battery life is excellent and everything works like a charm. I resold my first iPad via one of the online resellers and got a nice price making this upgrade less painful financially. I bought it from Best Buy which was a pleasant experience. I am now hoping for a larger screen iPhone so I can focus on one platform for both the tablet and phone. I am still a Windows guy for computers even after Windows 8 but that is a different story.
