Got this for my father in law for his 80th birthday. Easier to use than a computer.

I own a nook, nook HD Plus, Kindle fire HD, and now an iPad Air . As much as I tried to make one of the Android devices my primary device--it just wasn't me. I like the familiarity of Apple OS. ie Learn how to use one Apple device and you can pretty much navigate and use all Apple devices. I also like the idea behind iCloud. Having stuff auto-magically available on all devices with little to no effort and technical knowledge is nice. I'm guessing I could get a similar experience with Android if I committed to a single vendor and ecosystem (ie Amazon, Google, or Samsung). However, all of these vendors tend to make me feel left behind 6 months after I purchase one of their products. Or worse, just abandon their products (B&N Nook?). Anyways.... Android fan boys may rage and pick apart this review; that's ok; I haven't abandoned my Android devices; they're just not my primary device anymore.

This product is as advertised and more. I like the ease and functionality.

Although I prefer the Android OS, I chose the Ipad Air for two main reasons: the incredible display and a battery that lasts far longer than anything I could find among Android pads. These are important to me because I travel on long trips where I don't always have access to power for recharging my pad and the display is great for reading as well as video apps and photographs. I had no problem adapting to the IOS apps and finding substitutes for the Android apps that I'm accustomed to using.

functional, stylish, easy to use....would recommend as a gift for older adults

Although the iPad Air is somewhat better than my original iPad, it evidently holds little value. I have had this less than 2 weeks and got an email from Best Buy soliciting trade up to iPad Pro! So I entered in the information about my IPad Air and Best Buy says it is worth zero in trade. Did I do something wrong or did BB? Yes, I would recommend the product, but no not BB!

This is the third ipad we have purchased and it us the best. Thinner and faster

Aside from the noticeable speed difference the image is much sharper as well.
