I had the iPad with retina and loved it. But I have a hand injury and when the new iPad Air came out. My fiancé got me that one, because it is even lighter. I love it I use mine everyday. All I can say is it is very easy to use and ,great to take pictures with . It is easier than using my camera. Multipurpose, I have my cable app so I can watch tv on it. I go on the porch or patio and watch my shows. Very clear picture and I love Siri , you push a button and ask a question she will look the answer up for you.

I use iPads for both personal & business. All of my documentation is completed for each job site I visit, by utilizing signature & PDF apps from the AppStore. The only drawback is sometimes attaching documents or files to web pages when required, only because the iPad's iOS is not a full file system. It's perfect for mobility, especially if you can make use of tethering on your cellular data plan with wifi only iPads, or you can spend extra for the cellular capable although from my experience of both; the wifi only & using tehering is cheaper & best. Personally I do game on the iPad & the retina display is great and doesn't need to be run at full brightness to get an amazing image. One of my favorite is Battle Supremacy with beautiful graphics which really shows off the ability of the iPad and it's computing & graphics power. Many people I've discussed the use of iPads with for busines & personal tend to use personally for email, browsing and minor documentation. I however use it as if it were my personal desktop computer, like from back when desktops were all there was. I use the iPad mini for consoling into routers, completing spreadsheets, word documents, drawings & PDF handling. Many of those documents are converted using SavetoPDF, an app that allows converting most any document you typically encounter as a PDF for markup and obtaining signatures later using apps like Notify, which then allows you to send copies via email, open in other apps or make an image of for the camera roll (saved in specific albums like folders for easier locating later) to be viewed, emailed or uploaded to a web page since iOS only allows attachments to web sites as images not a specific file type. Faxing is even easyr from iPad mini or iPad using apps like JotNot which comes in handy when certain sites need tiff format & black & white only docs for thier filing system. Photographers I know love it for photo storing & manipation, as I too use it for for that but also use apps to layover tags and descriptions like Over or Notify for drawings for specific diagrams or cabling layout. When something like specific file type management is needed, GoodReader lets you manage files by renaming, resizing, moving, creating zip files & unarchivinng as well as read large PDF files. When it comes to uploading other file types a way around the iOS file system limitation, is to use remote apps like iTeport for remoting to a desktop and use it for uploading but you need to copy the file to an FTP or cloud service like DropBox so when your on the Remote Desktop, you can access the file needed to upload. Scanning documents is easy with scanning apps and there are plenty of good ones in the AppStore. Watching movies is great and the iPad mini & Air both stream any content via AirPlay using an AppleTV. The iPad mini can use iPhone apps as well but the apps are most often limited to much less of the full screen size unless magnified 2X to fit the screen, so when buying apps be sure to look for universal apps that have the + symbol. That way you are not only sure to get basically two for one pricing but it will be made for the device it's installed on.

I only wanna say this is my first tablet. And could have given a five star but due to the memory capacity of 64 GB minus the memory it uses for the system it's even less but other than that I think is an excellent investment..not regret at all..

Like the advertisements say: a little thinner, a little lighter weight, faster processor, nicer display. We went from the basic 16 GB to the 32 GB storage more for peace of mind. This is my wife's main computer, her Mac is second. Loves the portability

I like the iPad Air because it is 20 percent thinner and weighs just one pound; the best and lightest on the market. The 9.7-inch Retina display is the perfect size. Not too big and not too small. The A7 chip with M7 motion coprocessor makes it very fast. In-addition, it's ultrafast wireless, powerful apps, and up to 10 hours of battery life makes it a exceptional unit. The over 475,000 apps in the App Store are just a tap away.

Anniversary present for the wife and she loves it! Light weight, faster, stronger than before and very sleek. My wife loves the new Air, much better than her iPad 2. Camera is great, video looks amazing too. The only thing that Apple can do to make it better is to lower the price instead of raising it as it get's better.

My iPad is my constant companion. Fast, easy to use and the 32 g means I don't have to worry about deleting apps or photos so I can download more. Lightweight too. The only thing I'd change is the speaker location. They're at the bottom and so sound is muffled when I hold it on my lap.

As I slowly migrate towards the Apple ecosystem, I decided to give my old Android tablets to my kids, and buy an iPad for myself, and I'm glad I did so. Many are saying that the tablet era is coming to an end, but I really don't think so, and this purchase convinced me of that. This iPad is super light, thin, and even with the smart cover on it, still travels with a small footprint. It's not this year's tech, but when comparing this year's iPad air 2 and last year's air, the savings outweighed having touch ID and a bump in specs. The battery life is great, and you really do get close to 10 hours of screen on time. I also like how the apps have a 'grown up' look to them on the iPad vs the iPhone and function more like a regular computer. My only squabble is with the wifi - it doesn't not connect or play very well with my Comcast router at home, and I haven't been able to diagnose the problem. That's only at home - it works well everywhere else I have taken it.

He had the original first edition I pad, which was heavy, didn't have a camera and exceeded its ability to get new updates. This iPad Air is Lightweight,Slim, Camera takes great pics and it has great graphics, Easy to use and transfer of data was a breeze.
