My wife takes a lot of pictures. This tablet is faster and the quality is higher than my Nexus 7 HD tablet or her camera. Posting pictures on Facebook is easier. The keyboard is responsive unlike my tablet that has its good days and bad days. The mini allows her to take it anywhere. It's great to see her enjoy after initially being skeptical. Her phone is now regulated to being a phone. We haven't figured how to go back without having to go all the way back which is what the button does. My iPod has has a header which allows movement. The mini 2 must have it also.

I am a huge fan of all things apple and the ipad mini 2 didn't disappoint. Very manageable size and weight.

I bought this for my wife after my experience with my own iPad Air 2. While this model does not have the latest processor (and neither does the Mini 3), it's slower speed is imperceptible compared to my Air 2. Both the Air 2 and the Mini 2 have the same resolution screen, so this model has an even sharper, crisper image due to its smaller size. It weighs nearly the same as the Air 2, and honestly I think the Mini 2 is much less fatiguing to hold than the Air 2.

I wanted a new iPad to replace a four-year old iPad2 that I am passing along to my daughter. This one is lighter, a bit quicker and does a few more tricks, and the retina display is stunning.

I got my wife the iPad mini for Christmas, and she LOVES it. She uses it for email, shopping, reading books, web-surfing, watching movies, and her hobbies. We were not sure how useful it would be because my wife is not a gadget lover (I have owned Pocket PCs, PC laptops, a Macbook Air, a couple of iPads, several iPhones, a Samsung Galaxy 7 inch tablet, etc. You get the picture). She's had an iPhone and a Kindle Fire for a couple of years. The iPhone she used mainly as a phone and to check email. The Kindle she used only for reading Kindle books. She said she really didn't need anything else. But I thought she'd enjoy an iPad mini (I did not like the Android OS on the Samsung & the Kindle). The iPad is much more useful than the phone or Kindle and still very portable. It also has a much better battery life than the the Kindle or Samsung Galaxy. Besides, the device looks good and feels well-built. She's found the iPad MUCH more versatile and easy to use than the Kindle, and within a week, it was in her hand for hours every day. She's told me several times how much she enjoys using it.

Perfect size, superb display, & worth every penny spent. Bought 2 of them, 1 for each of my boys (ages 9 & 7).
