Been a long time Windows based products user, got the Mini as my 'fun' device and my initiation to using an Apple product on a regular basis. I got the Mini 2 as opposed to Mini 3 given hardly any difference in functionality except for the finger print scanner, and the significant difference in price. Additionally Best Buy had a $50 price drop in middle of Dec which made it a no-brainer. The Mini is an absolutely fun device, I use it to surf and listen to music as well as read e-books. My favorite holiday device.

I bought this tablet because I am not satisfied with my present tablet's performance.(a leading brand.) The ipad mini with retina display is amazingly fast powerhouse that outperforms all other tablets in this category. I am 100 percent satisfied with its performance since I started using it, no freezing of screen, smooth transition from one application to another, beautiful and crisp color, superb sound reproduction

You know the usual, it's the best tablet by far. I was full of apple hate just because of the underdog buy in so I went android . I heard the nexus 7 was the best tablet but it didn't have the polish of iOS, I came back recently after trying to use the surface pro 2. I miss the productivity of the surface pro 2 but I have to say everything looks better on the mini. I love that I can stick it in my back pocket to carry to my destination and pull it out for some work. I'm typing on it now for this review because it's slim enough to thumb type. I also love that it's ultra light! I sometimes find myself choosing the iPhone or MacBook but before and after bed is a perfect setting for my iPad mini. Don't waste time trying to be hip and go android or windows because the isheep gets annoying with its praise. Sometimes it's due like a kitchen aid mixer sometimes you can't argue that a brand just does it the best! If your a teacher, it's the best because power teacher has an app, schoology looks great, you can easily upload to onedrive or google drive, etc, office works, exchange is the better here than on the surface for me , and it has many Highschool text books!

Just the right size and weight. Great for reading books, playing games, and web surfing. Would highly recommend. Another great product from Apple!

the new ipad is lighter and super fast when compared to the ipad mini. The camera is very good which helps improve Facetime quality.. very happy with the purchase

One more Apple device to seamlessly tie my world together! Very fast, great display quality and works well when I answer my iPhone with it! The resolution and size allow me to work on spreadsheets (Numbers), documents (Pages) and even presentations (Keynote) when I’m away from my computer. The small size makes it VERY convenient to carry around, including onto the plane (great for games and reading, too!) It’s a no-brainer; I would recommend this device highly, but if you want to use navigation/ charting software, you’ll have to get the model with cellular; the GPS radio is not in the wifi only model.

The iPad Mini 2 has a beautiful screen, is portable, and is affordable. Even though it does not have the greatest internal specs, it still functions very well.

Mini-IPAD does everything that the larger IPAD does, however, it cost less and easier for younger children to handle.

I take my iPad (and keyboard) to school to take notes on so I don't have to take my laptop. It's great and I highly recommend it! I downloaded Microsoft word and I can transfer my notes right to my laptop via Dropbox so I can study them on there if I would like when I get home. At first I worried that this iPad would be too small, but it's actually a great size for what I needed. I have the iPhone 5s and a MacBook pro with retina display, so I'm definitely an apple person. This product is so easy to use and I also use the kindle app on it and can read all of my kindle books. Love it!!

I've had this iPad mini 2 for a couple of years now and still use it regularly. It sits on the table next to my easy chair where I use it to look up things of interest that I see and hear mentioned on TV. Interested in seeing more about an actor in a movie? Grab the iPad and look the person up. You can also use this product for so much more, surfing the web, shopping, or just browsing things that are of interest to you. It has a nice display and is small enough not to be fatiguing while in use. My only complaint is Apple's IOS, I'm not a huge of fan of it. That said, once you learn to navigate around in it you can do anything you can do on an Android tablet. If you are already familiar with the iPhone then you won't have a learning curve. This is a good tablet, much better than the horde of cheap tablets that are out there bidding for your money. Buy a good one the first time around and don't be disappointed by a cheapo brand.

It's easily navigated. All iTunes and App Store purchases transfer over. Find my iPad is pre-installed - no subscription needed. It's a very good size to surf websites and yet fits easily into a purse or bag. Display is one of the best out there! Speed is great. Transitioning between apps is easy.

Great iPad, very fast, easy to use, and a great size certainly for business use. Can take with you in your purse and on the go. Great product!

We needed a tablet for work travel (ability to take notes, use web, e-mail, etc.). The iPad mini 2 is perfect for these purposes with added benefits of personal entertainment too. We use this more than our actual Macbook now for streaming Hulu and Netflix around the apartment, using Facebook, and more. Very easy to use, lightweight, and convenient.

The retina mini iPad has great clear and crisp colors and letters. Perfect size and It's light weight, easy to carry at all times.

I had an older larger iPad third generation. I love the size and weight of this mini. It's way more portable than what I had.

I received this as an unexpected Christmas gift. Had I been looking to purchase and iPad myself, I would have likely skipped looking at the iPad mini, assuming the larger screen would be the way to go. However, after using it regularly for a month, I love the small size for both its portability and the ease of use to comfortably hold the device in one hand. The display is amazing and with the zoom of the touchscreen, I don't miss the extra screen space. If I were using the Pages app for much word processing, I think I'd want a bluetooth keyboard given he space constraints of the screen size keyboard, but I think the same would be true on the full-size iPad as well. Overall, this has been a great pick up.It gets great battery life and is the perfect playmate for my MacBook Air. The only downside is the Apple tax, but I'm becoming more willing to pay the extra for the superiority of Apple's products, innovations and user experience.

Android has been my choice of tablet till now, but the iPad mini was just the right size for my use, and I ended up liking the tablet a lot. I miss a lot of handy features like widgets, multiple home screens and nice notifications, but my prime use of this tablet is for reading, and the retina screen makes it a joy to read for hours. The reading comfort is almost on parallel with my Kindle touch.

Good looking tablet. Just the right size to use. Light and thin. Screen bright and colorful, easy to navigate. Love it.

Needed to replace my old Ipad 2. If the mini was out when I was initially looking for a tablet, I would have purchased it in a heartbeat. Oh well, I was happy with the Ipad 2, until IOS 8 was released......Needless to say I traded my old iPad and few gaming systems at my local Best Buy. I had enough to buy a the Mini 2, which has the SAME specs as the Mini 3. I love the size of the Mini 2. The Mini makes it a breeze to read and watch videos. I recommend this tablet for people on the go.
