Bought this for my wife, she loves it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my wife to read books, surf the net, read emails and play some games. We've owned an ipad 1st gen. Loved it too but eventually we needed to replace it because it got too slow and we could not update it. She loves that it's light weight and the size of it. It's very responsive and fast. The screen looks great. Batter life is in the 10 hr range with normal use. Having bought songs through itunes and being able to just download to the ipad is great! The speakers sound pretty good for it being as small as it is. Just a heads up for anyone who has never owned an ipad or tablet of any kind. It is not a computer in the traditional sense. It is best for viewing content and some light project creation. If you need something more powerful you're better served by a laptop or desktop. I definitely recommend if you already live in the apple/itunes universe (you own a Mac or an iPhone). Contacts, music, apps and settings sync with no problem. If your an android person you might want to look at a nexus 7 as a comparable alternative. The ipad is pricier but you get what you paid for and accessories (cables, and cases for example) are always easy to find.

Apple Ipad - Apple Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good unit. I like the size. I have a traditional Ipad & it is bulky, at least when travelling. This one is big enough to read emails, browse the web & watch movies. My phone is (apple iphone 5) is cumbersome with these tasks. While the old ipad is a good size at home, this one is very compact & fits easily into a small carry-on bag or briefcase and takes up no space. It works well, nice speed & great screen quality make it a very nice accessory for business & fun.

Great little nugget of technology
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Believe it or not, this was my first iPad, purchased about a month ago (and first ever product review). I've been an iPhone user for a year now and really like the sync-ability among Apple products, so I knew I wanted an iPad as an even more portable accompaniment to my laptop, which I find myself barely turning on anymore. From my research, I knew the iPad Mini Retina (iPad Mini 2) would fit my needs. The iPad Mini 3 had very little hardware improvement over the Mini 2, and with the drastic price drop during the holidays, I really wanted to jump on the tablet bandwagon. I went to feel them out in-store, and decided the iPad Air 2 was just too heavy for my carpal tunnelled wrists. So I snagged the iPad Mini 2 (previously referred to as the iPad Mini Retina) 32gb, since it was all they had in stock during the super sale. The Blue Shirt assured me that I had 30 days, pretty much risk-free to return it, no questions asked, in original working condition, of course. That really sold it for me. I was hesitant that 32GB was going to be enough storage for my heavy usage, and I was correct. Less than two days after purchase, I ordered the 128GB version from BestBuy.com, which was also on sale. It took about 10 days to arrive. Acceptable, given the holiday season. After erasing my data (factory restore), I, then, returned the (still pristine) 32GB iPad, in-store for a full refund...Seriously, no questions asked. About my iPad: It's pretty much what I expected and more! I was completely blown away by the Retina display. I do a bit of photography, and photos look even better on the iPad than on my laptop. I haven't used the iSight camera, because, let's face it...a tablet isn't meant to be used for taking photos. FaceTime works as well as expected. I particularly enjoy the ability to iMessage and SMS via the iPad and pick up my iPhone and continue the conversation. This makes it very easy to use while one device is charging in the other room. I'll admit one of the main reasons I wanted a tablet is to watch tv/movies in bed without having to lug around my laptop. Yes, the display is small, but much easier on my eyes than my iPhone. Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Youtube, Vimeo, etc all work splendidly. Games are also a fun distraction when I'm in bed doing IV treatments. Keeps my mind sharp and better than sleeping. The Kindle app is beautiful, as well. I could go on for hours, but you get the idea. I'm quite pleased with my purchase. I have had a few freeze ups with both units actually, but nothing a soft reset can't fix. -1 star merely due to Apple's outrageous pricing, lack of memory expansion and user-replaceable batteries. iPad Mini 2 shown in a Unicorn Beetle Pro Defense SUPCASE in Blue/Black

I am in Love...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought an iPad mini because I needed something for payment processing that was bigger than an iPhone. I have a 4 year old regular sized iPad that was acting skittish and needed something more reliable. I am SO glad I chose the mini 32 GB. I am in love with it. I put the apps I wanted and can do pretty much anything I want on it. I no longer have to lug my laptop from the downstairs office to the home levels. I carry it around with me from room to room. And when I'm not somewhere with wifi, I use my phone as a hotspot and viola! I'm on the internet. I LOVE the size. It's lighter than the regular size iPad but big enough to be able to type and text comfortably (as opposed to the iPhone.) I would recommend this iPad for anyone who doesn't want a giant sized phone, or carry a big tablet around with them.

Great hardware partly hindered by iOS limitations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the iPad mini 2 after my old 7 inch android tablet's battery failed. My wife has an iPad air and I have a MacBook pro so I knew that the apple hardware would be very good. And it is - excellent battery life, great screen resolution, very quick wifi connection, light weight yet solidly built. The wake/sleep function with the addition of a magnetic cover is also nice. But, coming from an android device where I could easily dump files from my computer onto a micro sd or download files (like books or PDFs) directly from the Internet and then sort, organize, and use them as I want on my tablet, the iOS need to sync with iTunes on my computer has been a bit inconvenient. Had I fully understood that going in, I may have decided to stick with an android tablet instead . Also there are a few apps that I really liked using on my old android tablet that don't seem to have any equivalent on the apple App Store. Nevertheless, I'm very happy with my new iPad mini 2, it just requires an adjustment to the way that I'm used to using my tablet.

Great Tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great tablet! Bought 3 of these for my kids and they love them. 32GB is enough space if using for games and such. Performance is excellent and all games that they have got work flawlessly. Good for email and internet as well. The battery lasts about 8-10 hours with heavy use, which is better than most other other tablets. Display is bright and can be used outside. Altogether, if they last as long the original iPads, it will be a great choice!

Great from the first touch!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It came out of the box charged & I have been enjoying it ever since. As with other Apple products, the iPad Mini 2 was easy to get to know and use. I love its mini, yet adequate size; quick responsiveness; crystal clear & beautiful display; clear sound quality; and the quality of the photos I've taken. I could go on, but the bottom line is that I wish I had purchased it sooner. I'm happy with this product.

I love my iPad® mini 2/Wi-Fi - 32GB
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For me is the greatest iPad ever, the 7.9-inch Retina display with over 3.1 million pixels looks awsome, also have the ultrafast wireless and with the iSight and FaceTime HD cameras can talk with all my friends and they see great! The battery life is around like 10 hours. For me is the best iPAD ever!

Compact and easy to transport
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Retina iPad is a convenient addition to communicating with the world. I find I am using it more than my laptop. It is very easy to transport and its compact size is a plus. The battery has a long life before requiring charges. The search engine is fast and have not had any problems connecting with WiFi. It is user friendly and easy to navigate. The screen size is also good for reading books.

Great for School & Fun
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased the iPad mini 2 for our children to use for school but also to give them an upgrade from there 4th generation iPod. I am loving this for their school work and all of the available educational apps. It's light weight and small enough to fit in my purse when we make a run to the store or park. The view is clear and brilliant. And the interface is very easy to use.

Fullsize power in a midsize Tablet!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Wife Lost her IPad 2 and so we went looking for a new device. This one stole the show. It was more compact, lighter and faster than her previous tablet. Plus it fits better into her go bag!!! My wife has not yet put down the tablet and is always reading, playing games or on the internet on that thing. I just hope she will give me the same amount of attention !!!

Right size
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my third iPad and my second mini. The size is right for me. The screen is only a little smaller than the regular size iPad. 32g goes a long way and the A7 chip is very quick. I synced it with my iPhone 6, and all my important data is transferred and up to date almost instantly. All of my devices are mac based, so I never have to worry about viruses.

apple strikes again
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've always loved apple products without being biased towards them. In fact, I'm their harshest critic in the sense that I distinctively point out what is wrong with their products but value them for their overall worth, especially in comparison to competitors products. The iPad mini is great. It's the right size, the screen is out of this world great and the keyboard is more responsive and accurate than other ipads I've tried in the past. My only gripe is it still feels a bit heavy for a mini. In bed, holding it up over you still gets a little weary and I presume that's what people praise the Air for. This is still the product in that line I would choose. It has the best of the other 2 ipads and has a size that is both functional and comfortable for the average person. If you're worried about losing screen size for movies and such, don't be. The screen is fine the way it is and the convenience outweighs any additional screen size you think you'd be getting with the others.

Great Replacement for my iPad 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace my iPad 2 and so far it is great! It is much speedier and it has been a breeze to carry and use on the go. It is very portable and I would definitely recommend this over the iPad Mini 3 if you don't feel that Touch ID is a must-have for you.

Great iPad for everyone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like the iPad mini. Fits in my purse. Great retina display. Next one will be the 64 GB. Use my iPad mini for books, mail, music, games, photos, and more. Don't buy the 16 GB. Not enough memory. When you buy an iPad be sure to download the manual onto your iPad mini for great helps. Plus you get 90 days free Tec support with Apple.

it's a good tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The main difference between this one and the more expensive ipad mini is that this one lacks the fingerprint sensor. Other than that they are basically the same. The experience is overall pretty good, good size, not too heavy, fast enough. Because of its size and weight it's comfortable to text or write as you do it with a cell phone, using your thumbs when the tablet is in vertical position. Other than that it's an iPod with big screen, it won't replace your laptop. Finally this screen size is more than enough, the regular ipad looks too big for me now. One missing star because of the price.

Very handy tablet
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to replace my Kindle Fire HD tablet that I used for almost everything as well as reading of course! I did email, printed documents, looked at spreadsheets for work, shopped, listened to music, and watched videos. I was very happy with the Kindle. I was going to buy the 10" tablet but found that it was no where near as good as the one I had been using for two years (Amazon why did you not keep improving???), and my son talked me into this mini IPad. I think he pressed for the mini primarily because the Kindle was lightweight and the mini is lighter weight than the larger one. So while there are some things I prefer about the programming in the Kindle, this iPad does everything plus one major thing I am elated about! Text messages show up! The camera is also great as well as the many other features that have made Apple such a giant in the industry. So now I am becoming a very happy user, working on learning some tricks, but next time I'm getting the full size like I got for my husband for Christmas!
