It's the perfect size for personal use: larger than a cell phone screen, but smaller than a laptop or regular size tablet. And, you can use the camera to take pictures as well. I really like Apple products in general and Best Buy always has such great deals.

Bought as a gift for my adult son. He loves the mini size because it's so compact, but works just as hard as the larger size. Bought on sale for excellent price. Better pricing than offered by APPLE.

This is a gift that I bought for my daughter who is currently in med school. She so loved this latest version of the iPad that she always raves about it- how it's so responsive and fluid, esp the doodling using notes. With the Apple Pencil, she can write and draw images as fluidly as if using traditional pen and paper if you're needing that kind of thing. The apps that she uses for her clinicals exceeds her expectations. The display is of superb quality, best for viewing images and videos for her lectures. The size of this model is perfect for her needs. She's had it from day 1 when it was released and she still sometimes just blurts out, "mom, this is the best gift ever!" So worth it. Would definitely recommend!!

IMO this model is the sweet spot- 32gb and less pricey than the 3 with the touch id (which I didn't need). much faster than my nexus 7. cons-locked down operating system

Purchased for a 12-year old. Previously used a standard iPad. Find the size of the iPad mini much preferable for toting around. Chose the iPad mini 2 over the newer model due to its much lower price. The difference between the iPad mini 2 and mini 3 are minimal and did not see any sense in paying the much higher price for the mini 3.

I am a full time student at Mizzou and this device allows me from lugging around textbooks or notebooks. I love how well it fits in my hands. It's not to big, not to small. Very user friendly and tons of free apps for note taking. I am able to pull up power points in minutes and it keeps record of all my notes I take. It is very sleek and has a great battery life. I would recommend this product for anyone who is a busy person, the iPad mini makes it very convenient for reading. With a simple tap you are returned to where you last left off reading. Plus when I am not using it for school it's great for surfing the web, emailing, and playing games. Best part is the mobility for me. So this is a great purchase and a must have for students or people on the run.

I purchased one of these when the retina iPad Mini firstcame out over a year ago. I liked it so much, I bought one for my girlfriendas well. She loves it! Super Sharp Display, Great Battery Life, and Perfect Size!

We bought this for our 4yr old son, because my 50+yr old husband uses an iPad, my young self uses an iPad, our 10yr old daughter uses a mini iPad, and our 8yr old non-verbal Autistic son uses a mini iPad for entertainment and a iPad for communication.

I got the iPad mini 2 for my girlfriend (30th birthday) and she loves it. We both have older generation iPads and she wanted one that was smaller, she could carry around, and had the retina display. The iPad mini 2 perfectly met her needs and it has a great feel with it's slim design and weight. I found no reason to get her the iPad 3 as the only difference was the touch ID and she didn't really care for it. So if you want an iPad but want to carry around with you often, I would highly recommend it.

The size is perfect and really isn't very heavy. It's also very easy to set up which is an Apple trademark. If you have other Apple products you will be pleased with this one. Also it's the perfect size for children.

I was able to start using ipad immediately without having to look at the users manual. This is my first apple product. I can access everything I need to from email to google anything I can think of, games. Easy to use I was able to download books from my computer to my ipad thru amazon in less than a minute. Love it.

It was between this and the galaxy tab s (best screen) - the iPad mini won. First, I tried my best to like the tab's skin but it's not great...that plus apps I knew I needed pushed me back to Apple. I downsized from the iPad since I already have a PC and was looking for something to use on the couch and at the grocery store.

After downloading Windows 10 and rendering my computer inoperable, I was desperate. I needed something fast (and reasonably priced). I got an iPad Mini, learned how to use it from the online manual, and I definitely made the right choice. I'd never used an Apple product before,and now I'm hooked. Siri is truly amazing.

I've owned multiple Apple Ipad's and this one was a purchase for my wife for here Birthday. She likes the size of the mini and has no complaints. I don't you wouldn't by this version over the newest version as the only difference it the finger print reader on the home button. Everything else is the same and its cheaper.
