The Best iPad for Content Consumption

The iPad Mini is a great device for reading for extended periods of time and for streaming video. The speakers are suprisingly loud and are clear almost up to their maximum volume. The fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button works well. I routinely obtain 9-10 hours of screen-on time. This replaced an 11' iPad Pro, and I have no regrets. The portability and the ease of holding it one handed easily outweigh the slightly better screen of the Pro.

I'm a big fan of the iPad mini's, this is my third one after a mini 1 and mini 4. I was an active private pilot for more than 30 years, the iPad mini is a great size for cockpit use. I was a little apprehensive of not having a "Home" button, but a simple swipe up from the screen bottom does the same. The display is crystal clear and sharp, the processors are quick. The Starlight color was a bit of a mystery to me, it looks kind of ivory in the images. When I opened the box, I thought "silver" but it does have a slight bronze tone to it. I miss not having a 3mm earphone plugin, but that seems to be the trend these days. Overall, I really like it.

Portable size and tall aspect ratio allows for noticeably more screen estate in productivity apps and games. Also makes it a wonderful sketch pad. Great battery life and performance. Speakers and screen are just ok.

Great First Mini iPad, Maybe An OK Upgrade

This is the second Mini iPad I’ve ever owned. This continues the trend of very slim design and good battery life (my previous 4th Gen had slightly better battery longevity). The video quality is great, the stereo audio is decent, the WiFi connection/antenna is very good. Overall I’m very happy with the upgrade. If there’s an upgrade to the video quality worth the increase in price, maybe I’ll consider upgrading to the next gen.

I have the iPad Pro 12.9”, but it’s so heavy & bulky, I decided to get the Mini which is a great addition to my Apple family. It’s so much easier to carry around &: take notes at meetings, etc. using the Notability app. 256GB is the way to go. I was using the same 2nd generation Apple Pencil with both, but ended up getting another Apple Pencil just for the Mini. Hard to believe this technology is in a compact unit like this. I remember the days when there were no computers.

    The iPad for tablet connoisseurs

I have owned iPad Minis since the first came out and have always appreciated them for their portability and ease of use due to their size. The Mini has always been my go to iPad. It is the one I use the most by far on a daily basis. So when the 6th gen Mini came out I purchased one in September of of 2021, but made the mistake of getting the 64GB model which is simply not enough anymore not even for a tablet. So I took the advantage of the recent Best Buy sale price and trade in offer and got a 45% discount on the 256GB model which is really the only one people should be considering. The great thing about the the 6th gen Mini in my view is the USB C connection which easily lets you transfer files with a USB C drive as compared to the prior lighting connector which required an adapter. The other design elements work very well including the Touch ID and connection for an Apple Pencil 2. If you are looking to use an iPad as a tablet look no further than this is the one. If I only had one model of iPad to choose from this would be the one. I use it all the time and take it everywhere. If your needs trend more to productivity then get an iPad Pro or Air with the Magic Keyboard or better yet a MacBook.

It is “purse-sized”, lol. Runs like a dream. Love using this when I can’t carry my pro. I absolutely recommend a keyboard case for protection and to make it “hands-free” on a desktop or in your lap.

Didn’t realize how much I would love this iPad! I though, why would I need this when I already have my phone and a regular iPad? But the portability and functionality with the Apple Pencil make an every day carry essential! It’s like a mini iPad Pro you can take with you anywhere. It is actually surprisingly easy to type with as the keyboard is easy to reach without over stretching your fingers and the size makes it nimble for gaming as well! So glad I made this purchase!

    Powerful, Portable Tablet From Apple

Other than the inflated price, there is little to dislike about the new iPad Mini. The speakers are great for such a small tablet, the screen is sharp (although I wish maximum brightness were a bit higher, and the fingerprint scanner imbedded in the power button quickly unlocks the device. The mini is also the perfect size for the 2nd generation Apple Pencil to magnetically attach to the side for storage and for charging.

I know that the iPad Pro has its place, but after years of using the iPad Pro, I updated and down-sized to he iPad Mini. For my purposes, I simply wanted something with a larger screen than a phone, but less cumbersome than a desktop. The iPad Mini appears to be the best solution. It is somewhat more portable than the Pro and is very satisfactory. I only wish that it had facial recognition. Great device.

My siblings and I went in in this tablet for our 86yo mom. She dropped hers and demolished the screen. This is a light weight tablet with a nice sized screen. The display is spectacular. Was very affordable and has all of the most current features. It was very simple to transfer all her former setting’s, apps and file from her old tablet to the new one. She is very happy .

For ninety per of everyone who wants a tablet -- best tablet by far. The size is perfect for reading books and portability. Fast response and very sharp and bright screen. Although not a business tablet still to use Microsoft Office 365 which is a plus to be able to read your documents and spreadsheets. Great little powerhouse.

Love the size and portability.typing is ok if you like thumb typing.landscape mode typing is a bit awkward .I hope apple decides to optimize the user interface to align with this device. The bezels could be smaller ,would love a hire res screen , and a faster processor.Audio buttons are placed in a weird spot.I feel like apple loves to create the perfect idea of a product and then misses the mark where it could count the most .I thought about returning it for the new iPad with M2 but I really like the size /weight of the mini .I got this open box so I saved some money and the difference of the new iPad/iPhone is too expensive for me to justify so if you want a basic portable tablet this will do may take some getting used to.

I decided to upgrade from my old Mini 4. Glad I did. I love this iPad mini and it’s features. I almost got the full size iPad Pro, but figured I’d stay with the lighter version for travel and convenience purposes. I also got it when BB discounted it.

I have an IPad Pro 12.9, but wanted something smaller. I bought a mini for my parents and fell in love. It does everything that my pro does and so much lighter to hold even in a ZUGU case. The sound is not as great. I am glad I purchased this.
