    Good, but think before buying

    1. I preorder the purple mini after cancelling the pink mini preorder. I will say in hindsight, I do some what regret buying the purple because the purple isn't quite as vibrant or colorful as advertised and in comparison to the IPad Air 4's color options. If you are trying to decide based on color, the colors in real life are pretty muted and or darker than shown in pictures/video. 2. I preorder the 256 gb Purple IPad Mini, this is the 6th generation with the modern IPad Pro industrial design. It is 8.3" across and while the foot print of the mini is smaller than the previos mini, it is a bit bigger. The previos mini (IPad Mini 5th gen) was a 7.9" screen with the large bezel, classic IPad design and now with the new mini, it is 8.3" with smaller all around bezels. The mini is very light and in a way a bit unusual. I have the IPhone 13 pro max, but I feel that while objectively the mini IS bigger, it makes me feel it is smaller. The mini is also very lightweight and prefect for carrying around the house or on the go. In comparison to the Mini's older siblings, I feel it is a very specialized/ niche product. The Mini is a smaller and a bit more beefier Air 4. This Mini has the A15 chip that is also on the IPhone 13 series (Note it is NOT as "strong" as the 13's chip) whereas the Air 4 has the A14 chip. HOWEVER, I really recommend not playing the spec game towards the AIr and Mini. The Air is just as capable (and larger) than the Mini. If you are a pilot of sorts, I think you are already aware of the uses of the mini. As well as those who uses Minis to control drones. If you are someone who needs ultra portability and something powerful, bigger than the IPhone Max's, but not over 10"+ and need to do something in quick bursts or just want to consume media on a decently sized screen: This IPad Mini is for you. I really don't recommend the Mini to those who are either: A student- You need something bigger in all honesty to take notes. This is more like a notepad vs a regular sized piece of paper. The more room the better. Artists- This is more of a toss up. If the size fits for you then that's good, but I'd suggest a bigger canvas Super Pro users- Unless you REALLY like the size or cannot currently afford a bigger IPad, then go for it. I suggest getting an older gen IPad Pro or getting the Air or even maybe the IPad Generation series just for the size and other bells and whistles the Mini doesn't have. There are some issues I have with the mini: The scrolling issue, I honestly cannot tell if it's just my eyes or the screen being weird or both. However it is NOT a SUPER MAJOR issue. Apparently it's a problem within 60hrz displays. However, I still think Apple should do something more than saying it's fine. The scaling is very odd. Apple went with a 3:2 scale this time and it's honestly looks rather weird. The icons and text looks way too small and I had to but on larger icons and text on this device. The storage. It is 2021, I find it laughable and rather annoying how Apple will charge over 400+ dollars for their IPads to STILL be at a 64gb starting compacity. People (usually) don't buy IPads every year, they keep them far longer than phones. It should be AT LEAST 128gb starting. If they don't want it to hurt the Pro's, up the storage on there too. Also I forgot to mention this, IPad's even with cellular are not good alternatives for a regular phone. You can't make phone calls unless you work around it. I think this is definitely more so a companion device. The Mini is definitely a good device IF you know what you're buying it for. I really like it for reading books and watching videos on youtube. In a pinch it's good for quick notes and doodles and fits in my kitchen when I need to see the recipe or listen to something. However, It's an expensive device just to do those simple things. I highly suggest thinking of the reasons of why you want the Mini and see if fullfils your wants and needs in comparison to the other IPad's and tablets out there. It's a good device, but can be misunderstood.

This iPad carries the best design that Apple has ever made. the size / form factor makes it perfect to use as an actual tablet: namely for media consumption, reading articles, and the like. The only thing that could have improved this device is adding an extra 2gb of ram since it clears memory (reloads apps) quite often. I'm hoping the next version of the mini comes with at least 6gb of ram.

The iPad mini is a perfect size to carry around with me when I don't want to carry my iPad Pro. I usually use in the evenings for reading or drawing fun with my iPad pencil. It fits nicely into my backpack and is pretty light.

Had the full size iPad and switched to this. No regrets at all. Love it. The perfect size. Great battery life. Great screen. But the size is what makes it a winner. Love this little guy!!!

Great size and plenty of power for my everyday needs. I didn't need or want a huge tablet. I'll just use a laptop if I want anything bigger. It has excellent battery life. Get a nice aftermarket case for it.

My wife loves her I pad mini. She said it’s perfect for doing online book reading and small enough to stash in her purse so she can pick back on her reading whenever there’s time. Plus it’s awesome for taking pics or getting short videos too!

Great little tablet for Student or Drone pilot

I agree with other reviews this is a great little device for everyday or professional use Even if you already own an iPad pro. Just the right size to keep in a small purse and watch a movie or do some quick browsing of the web or email. The battery life is great on this iPad with minimal use can easily go most of the day. But for those of you that fly drones this is the perfect size , it easily fits in your carry all with your controller and a tube of lip gloss . The Usb-c port fits easily unto the controller without any adapter if you normally use an android phone for your flights you can use the same data cable for both. The powerful A15 chip can easily handle Autel Explorer or DjI fly flight software and still run a streaming app such as Airdata UAV so you can broadcast your flight or your spectacular crash. One small complaint the screen is a bit dim in bright sun light it would have been nice if Apple added a better display , the display is just a slight improvement over the iPad mini-5. After you complete your flight you can edit your footage or edit out your crash the mini 6 can handle 4k and even 5k videos. If you are going to be doing a lot of video editing i suggest getting the 256 gigabyte option , The USB-c port allows you to add an external portable SSD storage device. Whether you are a student or Drone pilot this iPad won’t disappoint.

The iPad Mini is a fantastic companion for taking notes in classes. Its compact size and portability make it a breeze to carry around campus. The responsive touchscreen and Apple Pencil support make note-taking a smooth and efficient process. However, one minor drawback I encountered was the lack of cellular connectivity. I wish I had opted for the cellular model to have the convenience of using it without the need for WiFi or a hotspot, especially when I'm on the go. Nevertheless, the iPad Mini remains an excellent choice for students.

The IPAD MINI is a powerhouse akin to an IPAD Air. It is both compact and light but has ideal dimensions for portability, it is best in class.

The iPad Mini is a great little iPad with a lot of power. It might seem like this smaller package has no place in the ecosystem as it is basically double the size of an iPhone Pro Max but it works well for day-to-day tasks and for carrying it on the go. I have an iPad 13-inch pro and it can be very cumbersome to carry at times and is not always the easiest to deploy with little to no desk space. This iPad lives in my white coat pocket and is my go-to for question banks, reference apps, and random browsing here and there. It is extremely responsive and super lightweight.

Very nice product. Was looking to buy the iPad, but it was not available. The iPad mini seemed to be a better unit with more memory, for equal or less price. Great performance, easy set-up.
