    WiFi Connectivity Problems

    I broke my ipad 2 and decided to replace it with the ipad with retina display because of the better picture and faster performance. I use the ipad primarily to browse the internet and watch live TV and Netflix. I had been very pleased with the ipad 2 and never had any issues with it; however, the ipad with retina display has been nothing but a headache. For the past week I have been struggling to keep a WiFi connection. The ipad would show connected to my wireless network with good signal strength but when I tried to open the browser and load a webpage it would "time-out" before loading. I tried all I could but nothing I was doing (resetting network, turning ipad WiFi on and off ) would correct the issue. I eventually I contacted an Apple rep. because the issue would not go away and my other devices (Roku, phone) were not having any issues connecting to WiFi. After an hour on the phone with the Apple rep. and no improvement he asked me to put the ipad down. As soon as I did, it was loading webpages like a champ. The tech stated that holding the ipad "may" affect the WiFi signal. WHAT!? Something that was designed to be held "may" perform worse if held? The rep. recommended purchasing a case to help with the issue but I am not going to find out if it will make a difference or not. I don't think i should have to deal with any WiFi connectivity issues for the $450 i have already spent. I have returned the ipad and am now looking at other products that can better meet my needs. As a side note, I am very pleased with my return experience at Best Buy. The WiFi performance issue is certainly not their fault and they did not hesitate to give me a full refund.

    Lasted for 20 months then...dead

    Bought the iPad4 w/retina display 16gb in January 2013 and it lasted until September 2014. Very disapointed. ipad was in a case then entire time, never dropped, or abused in anyway, never left the house. Started getting blue screens at around14 months then it just died...blue screen with a flickering web page trying to load and then it went black...unrecoverable..tried everything on the web. Talked to Best Buy, told it was out of warranty, sorry. Apple and Best Buy said it would be around $300 to fix it. The ipad is now at the Mac store getting diagnosed...we'll see what they say This is my first Apple product ever, never had an iphone or ipad or anything apple before...and probably never again. I paid $500 for this thing and I get 20 months. I bought it because of the Apple reputation for quality...Guess I'm just unlucky...too bad it only has a year warranty. Didn't buy apple care or extended warranty becasue of the Apple quality reputation. Not sure if I'll get a new one or go with something else. I did like it when it was working however...just really disappointed.

    Piece of Junk

    I purchased the iPad with Retina 16GB on May 11, 2013 and in September 2014, the screen went black and would not work. I tried pressing the home button and the off button at the same time as instructed and NOTHING! I used another charger and NOTHING! I hooked it up to my computer and NOTHING. I took the iPad to the Apple store and they said there was nothing they could do because the iPAD was not turning on, DUH! Since it would not turn on, they could not give a diagnostic and suggested that I buy another one or wait the following week for the iPad Air to come out. Yeah, like I would really buy another one. I paid $529 for this piece of junk and my only mistake was not getting the extended warranty. I really didn't think it would last under two years. The iPad was well taken care of and I thought Apple made better quality products. The iPad was a gift for my son's graduation from college and now he has nothing but a metal piece of junk as a reminder of one of the greatest moments of his life. Thanks for nothing Apple!

    WORST PRODUCT I EVER BOUGHT. OVERPRICED. UNABLE TO USE. NO INSTRUCTION, TRIED TO GET INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE ENCLOSED INFORMATION, COULD NOT. I TELEPHONED COMPANY, WAS TOLD THE I COULD NOT RECEIVE INSTRUCTIONS FROM INFO THAT WAS INCLUDED IN PRODUCT. WAS GIVEN A WEBSITE THAT I DOWNLOADED, COULDNT UNDERSTAND HALF OF CONTENTS. CONTACTED RELATIVES THAT ARE COMPUTER SAQVY, THEY COULD NOT HELP. CONTACTED APPLE SALESMAN AT STORE, HIS REPLY IS IF I WAS LOOKING FOR A COMPUTER, I BOUGHT THE WRONG PRODUCT. I RETURNED FOR A REFUND ASND BOUGHT A ASUS COMPUTER (FOR LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE OF THE APPLE) AND I AM VERY HAPPY. THE PERSON ON THE PHONE CALL TOLD ME THAT THERE NO INSTRUCTIONS BECAUSE THEY WANT TO SAVE TREESS. FOR THE AMOUNT I SPENT WITH CASE AND COVER (JUST UNDER 700 DOLLARS) I THINK I DESERVED THE PAPERWORK, ESPECIALLY AFTER ALL THE TROUBLE THAT WAS CAUSED BY IT.

    I went with Ipad cause of the reviews it got. Two weeks later i was holding a glass and ipad was on my lap and it slipped out of my hands. shattered the screen into pieces as if i had taken a hammer to it and the glass was fine. Apple told me sorry and i had to buy another one. So basically i could own a nice laptop by now. I will never buy one again Apple doesnt stand behind there products and being a tablet i would think it would of been much much more durable. Im wondering what happens if it ever accidently gets dropped. Better craddle it like a baby i guess.

    I returned the item as it constantly wanted me to input duplicate information and would disconnect me while I was on line. It was very difficult and I would not have known how to even set it up if my daughter did not already have one (older model) and helped me. I was also not aware of the "Flash drive" enabled so I could not obtain a lot of programs available to me on my laptop.

    I bought this ipad as an aniversary present for both my wife and me. But after only almost 2 weeks with it we realized that it was incredibley borring product. Many of the apps worked beutifuly but wasn't enough for us to keep it. We talked it over and agreed to swap it for a Samsung note 10.1. We'v had this for a month and although ther are some thing that the ipad does better, we are very pleased with this tablet.

    iPads overrated

    These iPads are still a big joke. The one I had froze a lot with many apps. Safari is the second lowest rated web browser for a reason, its slow and ugly. The iPad is just a toy you cannot even write documents and print them up off it. I also was not a fan of the email set up on the Mail app it was ugly and slow.

    We purchased this I pad a month ago and it is now starting to act up. The speaker sounds horrible and you have to let the thing die before it fixes itself. Her old I pad wasn't even a year old and it did the same. I will never ever buy her another I pad again

    I have Surface Pro that I mostly use, and I only bought an IPAD as a drone controller for a drone I have. I much prefer the Surface pro, because it works just like my home desktop (both have Windows 8.1), and runs all the same software,

    This is my first ipad and I failed to see the importance of an off screen keyboard. The pop up takes up space on the screen and isn't as easy to use as a separate keyboard surface. Buy both and you will enjoy this product.

    I have been trying to use it but am unable to get through the apps or the apple contrtols. I will call BB to see if I can go there to get lessons. I have the extended warranty.
