This iPad is great, the battery is great, the retina display is very nice. The service with verizon is great and also the hotspot created with the same iPad. No issues at all since the day i brought it which was the same day Bestbuy started to sell it.

Been craving a tablet for about a year. Went back and forth between the IPad and Samsung Galaxy 10 Note. I am so glad I went with the IPad. It's fast, beautiful easy to use. I love all the apps. If you are on the fence...just go out and buy one, you won't regret it!

This was a gift for my wife and she is absolutely in love with it! I have been an android user for years and she has really liked my ASUS Transformer Infinity but since she got this she hasn't touched the ASUS.

We use the numbers app to build spreadsheets for our small business. Numbers is extremely user friendly. Spreadsheets that may take me hours to produce on excel seem to take only minutes. The touchscreen usability and ease of manipulation of the desktop is exceptional.

    Amazing

This is my first iPad purchase and I thought I was just going to buy the iPad 2 and that would suit me just fine for 399. So I bought the second-generation iPad and used it, but small text was really hard to see without zooming in on it every time. I then thought that maybe I should take a look at the new iPad and maybe I could justify paying more for it. It is worth the extra $ believe me! The screen is amazing and absolutely beautiful. Even the smallest print on the screen is razor sharp and easy to read without eye strain or zooming in. I opted for the 4G version because I plan on keeping this for several years and the connectivity will be nice when traveling. Yes I could tether my phone, but it kills the battery quickly. If you own the iPad 2 and don't have problems with the screen resolution when viewing or reading text then don't upgrade; you won't get much out of the third generation. If this is your first tablet (like me) spend the extra $100 and get this third generation, the screen alone is worth the extra money.

Best tablet. Best screen. Best user interface. Perfect size. My third iPad. Does not get hot. Only trade it for the 4th generation iPad.

    Apple Always Does It

I love my new iPad! You never know how much you're missing out until you own one. I am a student and it has completely negated the need for me to bring my laptop to class now! I am able to download lecture notes and write directly on them (with an app of course). my bag is a lot lighter carrying this around than my 13" macbook and it keeps an amazing charge! I usually charge it every 3 days or so and this includes the playing of games and use of social networks. i havent activated my 4g service yet but i do like the fact that a data plan isnt necessary to own this specific device and i can activate it right on the device. I can't believe I waited this long to get one but its definitely worth the money and the 6 hours i stood in line waiting for it :)

Fast, gorgeous, secure, but watch data usage

This is the first Apple product I’ve owned (although I used iPad 2 for a couple weeks). I use it mainly to read books & magazines and surf the web. Screen resolution really stands out when reading text, especially small print. Magazines are rendered beautifully and page turns are very responsive.. iOS and LTE make web browsing almost desktop quality. It does start feeling heavy after holding it for awhile. Compared to other OSes, iOS is superior in smooth, reliable performance, web surfing, apps and security, but inferior in terms of user customization , file management and multitasking. I don’t care for iTunes but chose to sync with iTunes instead of iCloud for fear of burning through my data plan with iCloud. I'm not sure if iOS uses data for background processes like other OSes, but I worry about data usage and battery life. So I wish there was an onscreen toggle to easily turn wifi and 4G on/off without diving into Settings.

Links very easily to office computers while on the go - can carry from meeting to meeting without strain - digital note apps are terrific. Hand write notes, translate them in an app, and email to colleagues as soon as the meeting ends. Terrific.

    The Best iPad yet !

What can I say..this new iPad is the best yet. Coming from the iPad 2,there's not a huge difference, but the key differences are more than enough to satisfy any True Apple fan. Do yourself a favor,if you're on the fence, get it ! It's totally worth it,and Apple continues to prove why they're the best in the business. Btw,if you happen to buy it in the store make sure you know the difference between setting up an account with your social,or self - provisioned. Personally,I think it's easier and better when you can control when you want the service, like a prepaid account.

The new iPad is a great unit and the 4G's allows for great connectivity. The screen resolution is noticeably different from the iPad2, and the new features that came with iOS6 can be used with the new iPad (except for panorama pics).

Bought my iPad to use for business, but I love it for music, games, electronic magazine subscriptions, Facebook, email, etc.! Seldom use my laptop anymore except for creating documents. The photographic quality is wonderful as well. Only problem is I would like to use it to take notes @ business meetings, and an external keyboard would be inconvenient, but the touchscreen keyboard does not enable me to keep up very well. All in all, very happy with my purchase!

Nothing compare to the quality of apple products, the performance of the new iPad is probably not much different than the iPad 2 but I really liked to pay 100 bucks more for a faster processor, 4G capability, higher screen definition and a real good camera. I am also a proud owner of a Asus Transformer and I can say that I am in love with the new iPad. Cheers!

My first tablet. Was disappoined that it did come with basic instructions for navigating through it. Did find instructions on line, but it is 144 pages. For the price paid for the IPad, this be included with it.

The best tablet computer (hardware + software)

    Posted .

My advise is you go for black border. It is a lot better when watching movies in a darker room, white border shines a bit annoyingly when lights are dim and your iPad has great intensity. Another is that do not trouble loading this battery eater with 1amp USB charger, go for better quality charger as this device seems to take several hours to get fully charged. Some other tablet computers might have even better hardware but it's the combination of software and hardware that makes these great. Also, Apple is the king in keeping complex things simple, usability for the win!
