Better than 12 pro in terms of size. That thing was like trying to hold onto an iPad.

I am liking this new iPhone (upgrading from 1st. generation SE). I love the size and color. I only wish Apple had not moved the power button to the side directly across from the volume buttons. I have put the phone into sleep mode more times than I like trying to change it. It is fast the screen is bright and sharp. I'm still getting used to new swiping motions since there is no longer a home button. I hope Apple continues to make phones in this size and design.

I upgraded from a iPhone SE so of course this phone was going to be a huge jump in technology. I was holding out for a smaller phone (loved my SE size and durability) and this definitely fits the bill. Audio quality is amazing compared with my own phone when in a phone call and love the camera. I miss the home button and audio jack but everything is becoming Bluetooth nowadays (although if you have an older car...) but the expanded screen is nice. I choose the one with more memory since I take so many photos and have been doing work on my phone some since the pandemic.

Super happy with this purchase and my first iPhone since the 4s. I hope Apple will continue to offer this smaller model; the size is perfect for my hands and pants pockets. Bending over is no longer painful! Love the look and very impressed by the cameras once I played with things a little. I’m coming from a Pixel 3 which still takes excellent photos, especially in lower light. But in outdoor lighting the iPhone 12 is definitely an improvement. And video? Night and day. Not even close. I can’t believe how great the footage is that I’m getting on such a small phone. The only negative I’ve seen about this phone in reviews - and the only thing that made me hesitant - was the battery size. Honestly, it hasn’t been an issue at all and routinely lasts longer than my Pixel 3 did. I can absolutely get 2 days out of a single charge, no problem. If you’re someone who uses your phone all day long then yeah, a bigger battery will serve you better. But seriously. It’s totally fine for most people. Do not be scared. Haven’t tried any MagSafe accessories yet, as it’s not a huge incentive for me and I will say that it’s high time Apple move to USB-C already. Maybe next year... But in the meantime I just use wireless charging mostly and it works great. Very happy with the speed. All in all, it was an easy transition and not one I regret. The price is great and you can get more storage with the money you save compared to some of its bigger siblings.

Just what I wanted. A small phone with all of the features of a bigger phone. Screen is beautiful, crisp and clear. The phone is quick and responsive. IOS 14 is great and the upgrade from my iPhone 7 was seamless. The only downside is the price.

I have been an avid iPhone user since 2009. This phone is the perfect size! Love it! It’s fast! Keeps a charge a long time and it’s not too big. I have small hands! And they gave it back the shape of the iPhone 4. Like more square! ♥️

Long time android user here. I had the original droid, but over time I dabbled in apple products. I had been using their ear pods and even got an apple watch, which had limited use with my galaxy s9. I finally made the switch to full apple and are very pleased. I was looking for a phone like the old days, something you didn't need two hands to hold. This phone is perfect. Not only is it beautiful, but powerful. Any issues are dealt with VERY fast by apple through updates. A lot of people have noted battery problems, but coming from the s9, this thing has a great battery. Most of the google apps are still there too and you can still use google maps and gmail. Works flawlessly with the watch and ear pods. Great product!

Got the 12 Mini yesterday. My brain said not to spend my money, but my heart said to do it. I came from an 11 Pro. Yes, it’s only been a day. But from the moment I got it, I fell in love with it. I love small phones and this fits perfectly in the hand. It’s fast, has an amazing edge to edge display, Face ID, an awesome camera, and has those lovely square edges. I didn’t like them on the bigger phones, but I absolutely love them on the Mini. Not to mention, the black color is gorgeous. It’s an iPhone so there’s not much more for me to really say about it. Cons? Well, battery life. It’s not terrible. But it’s noticeably lower than my 11 Pro. To put it in perspective, I took it off the charger at 7am. It’s currently a little after 9 and I’m at 14%. Approx 5 hours of screen on time. My 11 Pro probably would have had roughly 30-40% still if I remember correctly. With that being said, it was at about 69% at around 1:30 (maybe a little less). Not too bad. Because of the battery life, I’m giving this phone 4 stars instead of 5. With small phones come compromises. However, I knew I would take a hit with battery life. Fortunately, it’s definitely manageable- I just had to modify my use a bit. And as for 5G... well I only have it in some places. It’s cool to see “5G” on the top right of my screen. That’s about it. But it should be relevant in the future. All in all, I’ll say, if you can afford it, and are ITCHING for a small phone with flagship specs, go for the 12 Mini. You won’t regret it. If you’re coming from the 11 series, just be prepared for a hit on battery life. But even the battery isn’t too terrible.

This form factor of this phone is perfect for me and the performance couldn't be better. I've used most of the iPhones and this is my favorite. I always felt that the 11 was way too big to use with 1 hand and had unsightly bezels. On this, however, screen doesn't feel too small (I cast movies to the TV, why watch on a phone?). I was apprehensive about the battery life, but it's good enough and charges really quickly. While yes it's noticeably less than the battery on the iPhone 11, if you're coming from literally any phone other than the 11, this will be the same or better.

Overall I'm satisfied with this phone. I really like the smaller size - I can fit it into a front or back pant pocket and not have to carry it around (since I am a guy and don't have a purse or other place to put it). However, there are some features I miss from my Pixel phone. I switched to an iPhone because my Pixel 3 XL battery was swollen and I feared it would fail or the battery would explode during charging. Everyone else in my extended family has iPhones, so I figured having FaceTime and Find my Friends would be useful. I am most annoyed that I was paying $17 per month for what I thought was complete device protection, but the guy at the Verizon store said my situation was not covered. So my advice to Verizon customers is to save your money and not bother. I have since cancelled device protection on the iPhone. I also find it annoying that this carries over when you get a new phone - it is tied to your number and not the device. Migrating apps and data was surprisingly straight-forward using the migration utility. But here are some things I am not fond of: The ability to arrange apps on the screens is surprisingly limited. If you group apps, the icons are so small that they are barely discernable. Hence, there is no easy way to organize your apps and the app library categories are not customizable. I had to create a spreadsheet to sort apps the way I wanted and then use the tedious " edit home screen" menu to drag the icons from screen to screen. I tried the reset menu but that just re-arranges the apps back to factory default. One would think that you could name the screens or override the default categories on the app library screen. Apple could make some really simple improvements that would make organizing apps way easier. Also, the "Swipe up to open" thing makes absolutely no sense if I have the face unlock feature set up. Android had a fingerprint reader n the back of the phone but does not require further interaction to open the phone. When highlighting text to edit or correct something, Android has a magnifier feature that makes positioning the cursor vary easy. The iPhone doesn't have it. Scrolling is surprisingly herky jerky on the iPhone - the Pixel was very smooth, scrolling on the iPhone is very rough. This may have to do with the refresh rate since the processors are generally on par. Perhaps most disconcerting is how often apps seem to hang - one gets the circle spinner quite frequently and nothing happens until you close the app and open it again. Surprised that this happens on the latest and greatest iPhone 12. Or, the apps just hang and none of the menus / selections work at all. Another feature lacking on the iPhone is the ability to "clear all" from the view of all the open apps. Really? I realize the operating system manages memory but I don't find having all of the previously opened apps to scroll through very useful. After about 10 or so the list becomes unmanageable. Please give us a "clear all" feature. I figured out that you can grab a bunch of 3 or 4 apps at a time to clear, but that' s a lot of unnecessary swipes. On the plus side, the Apple Watch I got is pretty amazing in the available apps and how elegantly it is integrated with the phone. I was using a Fitbit and I would say the Apple Watch is way more functional and can do the steps / sleep tracking pretty well once you find and install apps you like. I am particularly impressed with the ekg and sp02 measuring apps and how numerous apps can be integrated with the Health app. So, in summary, do I prefer the iPhone to a Pixel phone? Not really, they both have their pros and cons. For users who do not use a lot of apps or like to really personalize their phone, the iPhone maybe preferable since it is more straight forward than an Android phone. But for "power users," Android might be a bit more flexible / customizable. It took me forever to get the app screens set up the way I wanted and I just hope I don't have to do it again.

I've been an Android user for years and finally decided to make the leap to Apple with the introduction of the iPhone 12 Mini. I've been waiting for someone to go back to the small phone factor and couldn't be more happy with my purchase. Everything just seems to run better on this device and it fits into my pocket again. I get about 2 days on a single charge which is well above what everyone's been reporting online, although mostly use my phone for phone calls and text messages. I've ordered some of the magsafe attachments and can't wait to try those out. I would highly recommend the iPhone 12 Mini for anyone looking for a new cell phone.

I’ve always been an Android person, but this tiny machine has me 50/50 now. It’s so cute, the size is perfect for my small hands, it works absolutely perfect, and the cameras are amazing! I do use my phone quite a lot through the day for work, and usually the battery lasts me until the end, but I recently got a portable charger for those longer days lol

I still have my 12 mini and I'm writing this review on it. Good battery life, it automatically times and adjusts the charging speed to avoid overloading the lithium battery. I got it the week it came out so it's been working well this entire time. I have small hands do a larger phone is wasted on me. I wish I had waited for gee purple version to come out, but overall I'm very happy.

Great size, feels of quality. Screen is bright and clear. Phone is speedy. But buyer beware: this phone doesn’t support 1x or 3g... so if you live in (or travel through) fringe areas, and rely on the legacy Verizon networks, you will likely struggle to make or keep calls in these areas. If you need this capability, you might want to consider one of the older iPhones (or the iPhone SE 2020.) (Verizon is scheduling the decommission of the legacy networks, so eventually even those phones the support them won’t have the option.)

purchased as a gift and the recipient is very happy. good size of device, unfortunately the only downside with the smaller form factor is less battery life, but it is still better than the the iPhone 7 or 8 or anything prior. this is a high quality device and honestly a steal at around $5-600 when compared to the SE 2.

I’ve only had about a month and love it! I really appreciate the Face ID for everything including Apple Pay, which makes it faster and Face ID makes everything faster. The camera is so much better and is really noticeable in comparing photos. I had an SE and had been waiting for a small IPhone. I know many want big but I need small to keep in my pocket from time I get dressed in AM to bedtime. The newer SE was too big. I hope Apple never stops making this size phone. I was really down about finding a replacement phone but am totally satisfied now with this phone.

The screen is bright and clear as are the pictures and the battery stays charged much longer than my last phone. I opted for the mini for the ease of carrying it in a pocket or my cycling Jersey. I
