It has been an excellent phone, but because it is already starting to slow down and freeze after only a year of use, I cannot give it the 5 stars that I believe the iPhone 8 earned. Still a nice phone that is plenty useful. I tend to close out running apps once a week and limit use to the typical Facebook/YouTube nonsense. I used it for gaming some when I first got it, but there was a long time between when I played games and it freezing after the most recent updates. I bought the more expensive iPhone because I thought they lasted longer due to being purpose built/programmed for their hardware (or vice versa) vs. android, but if they only last a year I will have to rethink that decision.

So far, I like this iphone alot. The larger phones feel cumbersome and I tend to drop them. I've been using an old iphone SE and have now switched to the mini. This phone has the bells and whistles of the larger iphone 12 models, but fits snugly in my hand. Its battery life is shorter than the larger models, but for me that's OK.
