Is a great upgrade from standard 11 and older

It’s great, honestly. I finally decided to upgrade from my iPhone X after it’s served me well for almost three years. And I’m glad I did,
CAMERA: The camera upgrade is honestly incredible and I love the additional editing and lighting settings for the cameras. My boyfriend does have the 11 Pro Max and there’s no real difference between the two cameras. If you are thinking of upgrading from the 11 pro (or max) to the 12 Pro (or max) just for the camera increase, I’d save your money. However if you have the regular 11 and older, and you live for taking photos on your phone, definitely make the upgrade. (Took my first photo of my cat.)
5G: the 5G on it is super fast all as advertised. I never had issues with my AT&T coverage or speeds, but I was able to notice the difference especially when I’m in heavily populated areas or high capacity structured buildings like my local mall or and city hall where it would sometimes be slower previously. I could imagine the 5G being good around big campuses too. I’ve played Hulu live sports on 5G and it picked up the feed super clear and crisp compared to my previous iPhone X and my boyfriend’s 11 Pro Max, which would have the feed come in a little pixelated at first before clearing up after a little while.
SIZE: it’s SLIGHTLY bigger than my older phone, thicker and somehow seems to weigh a little lighter which I like. I don’t have big hands so honestly it’s a nice fit, and even with my carpal tunnel, I can text with one hand without cramping.
THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:
-It doesn’t come with a brick but it just come with a USB-C to lightning fast charger. You will need to purchase a USB-C brick if you don’t already have one.
-It doesn’t come with wired ear buds (which I personally don’t care about), so it relies on Bluetooth connection for headphones and such. So far it has synced up with my Surface Headphones, AirPods, and Sony X headphones without any hiccup. If you still prefer a wired headset, just pick up a $10 lightning to 3.5 mm adapter.
-The screen is still your standard “will crack at the slightest drop” screen so I cannot recommend a ZAGG screen protector and a case. I feel like it’s pretty standard with any new phone, but I do also wish that screens were made with more durability especygiven the $1000+ price points.

I've had the iPhone 8 for the last few years, and it was a great phone. I bought it specifically for the camera as it was among the best phone camera on the market at the time. However, it was time to upgrade, so after a lot of research, I went with the iPhone 12 Pro.
There are hundreds of articles and reviews already, so there isn't much that I can say that hasn't already been covered. I'll just list a few of my favorite features:
- Night mode is unbelievable. It's really hard for reviews to convey this, so it's one of those "have to see it to believe it" situations. But it's phenomenal. Honestly, if I'm trying to see something without using a flashlight (such as a sleeping child in bed), taking a photo with Night mode can let you see every detail. The first attached photo was taken in a completely dark room with no ambient light.
- The LiDAR Scanner is a lot of fun. It's not perfect as the capabilities are limited to the apps available right now, but it's pretty great. Scanning a 3D model of a room is pretty effective (the second attached photo is a scan that created a 3D model), and the measurement app is remarkably accurate now that it uses the LiDAR Scanner. I have not noticed how it comes into play with the Night mode portraits, but I will take Apple's word for the fact that it does come into play. I'm excited to see what other apps are developed for the LiDAR Scanner, because I think it has a lot of potential.
- It is a truly beautiful phone. I don't normally make a decision on my phone based on how the body of the phone looks, and that wasn't a primary factor in my decision to get this one, but the Pacific Blue is gorgeous and did determine my decision to get a clear-backed case (I feel much more comfortable getting a lower-end case because of how durable the new ceramic glass is, but I still wanted to prevent nicks and scratches). The shiny bevel is striking, but as many have noted, it instantly reveals fingerprints, so I keep it hidden behind a rubber bumper.
There is a lot to like about this phone, but you can read about that in countless other reviews. There are also a few things that are disappointing about the phone: the battery life is not ideal (I can generally get through a whole day on one charge, but not if I use it heavily) and this is my first phone with Face ID, and in the time of face masks, I'm finding myself missing the Touch ID. But, overall, if you're looking to upgrade your phone, especially if you have an iPhone 8 or older, this will be a gigantic leap for you. And if your budget isn't too tight, the $200 difference between the 12 and the 12 Pro is absolutely worth it if you plan on taking any amount of photos.

I am IN LOVE with this phone! Upgraded from XS max and honestly I don’t mind the smaller screen at all. The flat shiny edges are beautiful and it feels very premium. The night mode picture takes amazing pictures at night. The only minor issue I had was that there’s a very very faint scuff mark that runs down the back glass out of the box. It’s only noticeable in certain light angle. AT&T’s 5G needs improvement but that’s not the phone’s fault. battery seems to drain alittle faster than my XS max, maybe because of 5G. Beyond that I truly love my new phone.

I’m extremely happy with my new iPhone 12 pro, previously i had the iPhone 5SE. It took awesome pictures and easily fit in my front pocket! I had some concerns about the size of my new 12pro, but after taking family pictures over the Christmas break, I’m extremely happy with the resolution and 3 camera setup! Very user friendly and the editing features are amazing! I would recommend this beautiful phone to all my friends!!!!

Runs so much better than my 11 Pro thanks to the extra 2gb of ram! The videos it takes are fantastic! It is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

Finally made the switch to iPhone

Finally switched from Android, and I'm definitely impressed. The app drawer and widgets are more polished than they were on Android. The OS/hardware integration is amazing, apps work with no lag and it handles multimedia easily. The camera works great without having to mess with the settings as you can see in the photo I posted. The OIS on videos works well too. No issues with battery life and I live in an area that has Verizon 5G, although due to Covid spikes, I'm mainly at home on wifi. But if you're looking to jump to iPhone from Android, I say the 12 pro is the way to go.

I have the IPhone 12 Pro Pacific Blue and have been enjoying it. I am an iPhone user and have been satisfied with the quality of this phone. The color is a beautiful blue with the apple logo more of a shiny blue. What I enjoy most is the battery quality. At full battery in the morning I can go all day and not need to charge it until 10 or 11pm. And even then there’s still battery left. This is after switching from multiple apps, sending emails ect. Camera quality is great as well and fun to play around with all the different modes.

If I could give it 4.5 stars, I would. It's not a perfect phone but it's pretty close! Upgraded from an 11 pro which I gave to my partner. It's definitely an upgrade in terms of build, design, camera and screen. However, 5G is underwhelming - but that's more on AT&T than Apple.
Build & design - the sharper edges and smaller bezels has a much better feel and makes it as comfortable to hold as the 11 pro but with a larger display. The blue color is icing on the cake!
Camera - there's a marked improvement in low light photos, I can visibly see the differences in the evening photos we've clicked indoors with the 12 and the 11 pro. The ultra-wide camera is also slightly better, brighter and with lesser distortion around the edges.
Screen - this might be a placebo, but the display looks better outdoors when watching videos - all other use case scenarios are similar to the 11 pro.
Would recommend as an upgrade over the anything older than a Xs.

So happy I upgraded to this one. Incredible camera, phone’s not huge, it’s the perfect size, easy to navigate phone features and I love that it reminds me of the old classic look, shape/thickness. I chose the graphite color.

So far I'm very impressed. I upgraded from an iPhone 7, and this is honestly the first time I've bought a new anything at launch. BBuy was way better than buying at the carrier, and the staff was super helpful.
The phone is really quick, and the camera is nice. The pictures I'm taking in low light of my kids reading will be priceless memories. I like the interface, and so far the weight is good. I bought a screen protector off of the website named after a forest after reading the costs of potentially replacing the screen, so that's an easy upgrade. Battery life is good so far as well.

Just upgraded from an iPhone XS to the 12 Pro. So far, I'm enjoying it. The screen is much sharper and the colors more true. Apps open super quick, and the battery life is a huge improvement. The camera quality is also a very huge upgrade. My only complaint is that it's a bit thicker and heavier than my XS, which isn't that bad, but it is noticeable if you're holding it up one-handed for a while.

I love my new Apple iPhone. It lives up to all the hype. Truth is I primarily bought it for the camera, which is a big improvements over earlier cameras. But camera aside, I like everything about the phone: larger screen, easy to navigate, longer battery life, and on and on. Oh yes, and the salesperson transferred everything from my old iPhone to the new one--even installed my protective cover-- so when I left the store, it was ready to use.

I love this phone. I got the 12pro. Not a real phone guy check news mail banking no games Netflix. Super easy and fast compared to my iPhone 8. Size is similar to my 8 except more viewing area, so fits well in my pants pocket. My only gripe is I miss the Touch ID. Having to wear a mask because of covid and REALLY trying to follow the rules make Face ID inconvenient at times

My daughter loves that she could get her favorite color so that a plus.
1. Great phot quality
2. Longer battery life as I see my girls charging less
3. I love that it’s not glass all around the phone. Apple has gone back to the metal around the perimeter of the phone.

AT&T roll out with preorders were horrible this year! I had to cancel my preorder and purchase my phone from Best Buy. The phone feels amazing! It has that iPhone 4 feel with a XR size. I upgraded from my 11 Pro simply because I wanted a bigger phone but the max was just too big for me. The screen is amazing, the pictures are great, and I love my pacific blue color! I have no complaints!

Was considering switching from iPhone to the s21Ulta but man did I make the right choice by not. I'm not saying the 21ultra is a bad phone but I am more then happy with my 12 pro max upgrade coming from the XR. I did not want to leave imessage or facetime. At first it feels awesome in the hand. Soon after you feel like its slightly too big but I promise if you hold out for a week or 2 you truly fall in love with the size and perfection this phone offers. Everything from relaxing watching YouTube videos at night to juggling organization tools at work... this phone does the job. You'll appreciate the extra size during times of use. If you just make calls and use for music in your car consider the 12pro or just the regular pro if you don't want the best pictures offered on a cellphone.
Got my wife the 12pro and she loves it since her hands are smaller.
My 12promax is paired with the CASEKOO Slim Fit case as i hate bulky cases

First of all, I am a huge fan of Apple products, so I may be a little biased. Second, I am coming from an iPhone 7, so this is a huge improvement.
Screen is beautiful, materials are top quality. Cameras are awesome and integration with other items like AirPods is seamless. Siri is improved over the 7, even though they are running the same iOS, which surprised me.
It is on the large size and the materials are slippery so it can be hard to hold. A case will solve that, though then it is even bigger. This phone does not fit in the cupholder of my car, or hide completely in my jeans back pocket, like my 7 did. It is also very heavy... stainless steel sides will do that. If these things are a problem for you, maybe consider the mini.
One could argue it is expensive, but there are many other phones (from other brands as well) which are this price and more, so I don't knock it too hard for that. If you will use the phone to its full capability, it is totally worth it.
