iPhone 13 purchase.

The salesperson was very helpful and did what he could during that very busy time. The iPhone was a gift and so far it has worked perfectly.

Nice phone

Worst iPhone I've ever purchased.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This has been my unfortunate experience with iPhone 13. It was a maddening three weeks. I've owned an iPhone 3, 4, 5, and 6S Plus and never had problems with a phone like I did with iPhone 13. The good Excellent battery life. I could go 3 days on a charge. Beautiful screen with vivid colors. Face ID works very well when not wearing a covid mask. The white bar on the screen that replaces the home button works well. 5G is super fast in the San Francisco Bay Area. The bad Haptics and keyboard clicks stopped working when the iOS 15 update was pushed on my phone. I need the click when I type. It’s a personal thing but irritating that it does not work now. To turn off the phone you have to hold the power button on the right and hold a volume button on the left. The problem is that this is the same keystroke as a screen shot. Be prepared to delete screen shots from trying to turn your phone off. Sometimes, just holding the phone on both sides near these buttons randomly takes a screen shot. Pressing the power button brings up Siri, it does not turn the phone off. You can change this to make Siri pop up on just speaking “Hey Siri.” But then the power button still does not turn the phone off. It takes pictures. If you are holding a volume button when just normally holding the phone and you press the power button just holding the phone, it randomly takes a screen shot. The phone is top heavy. It will fall off phone stands and fall down flat, camera first. The weight and balance is very off - not usually an Apple problem. You have to place the phone top down in your pocket or the top heavy weight of the phone will cause it to fall out of your pockets. The camera lenses stick out too far. Even if you have a case to protect it, you will eventually damage the camera lenses. They should be sunk in to the phone to protect them and not sticking out. This is a bad design flaw. The ugly iPhone 13 does not work with iCloud at all. My wife and I share an iCloud account. Each automatic software update to my phone: 15.0, 15.1, 15.2 wiped out our iCloud settings. I was getting her phone calls, FaceTime calls and messages on my phone. My email would not sync using imap mail service on any of my computers and laptop under iCloud. When you change the settings to fix this, it does not retain iCloud settings at all. Each of the three pushed out updates changes these settings back to the inoperative settings. Also, I would reset the iCloud settings and then in a few day the phone just randomly changes back to the wrong settings so that I would get my wife’s calls, texts and FaceTime calls all over again in between their horrible pushed updates. This is totally unacceptable. I do not use cloud photos. The phone, on its own, backed up all my pictures to the cloud and completely used up all my storage. I store my pictures on my MBA not the cloud. I had to manually delete 10 years of photos from iCloud to free up space for a basic iPhone backup. I turned cloud photos off. Every time an update was pushed to the phone, 15.0, 15.1, 15.2 the update turned iCloud photos back on and started backing them up over night. I had to turn this off every few days and manually delete the photos on iCloud several times. This is totally unacceptable. The final straw was the 15.2 update that was pushed to our phones this week will not recognize iCloud or iTunes phone backups made on my MBA. I have been backing up my iPhone daily to the cloud and in iTunes because I saw how buggy and disastrous this software experience has been. Apple pushed 15.2 to our phones the other night. The phone, on its own, turned on iCloud photos backing them up yet again and again changed my iCloud configuration so that I was getting my wife’s phone calls, FaceTime calls and messages even though she now has her own iCloud account! So I finally just wiped the phone and decided to start over. When I plugged the phone into my MBA to restore the previous day’s configuration, it said I did not have an iCloud or local iTunes backup. I’ve been successfully backing up every day for the past two weeks on my MBA. That was the final straw that broke this patient camel’s back. The phone absolutely will not hold any configuration I make to it. It received constant updates from Apple that undo my settings. Then, it will not recognize numerous successful backups that I made to iCloud and iTunes locally on my MBA to try to restore the working settings Apple’s updates wiped out and ruined. I took the phone back to Verizon and got a full refund as I only had it for three weeks. That ended my three weeks of total aggravation with iPhone 13. I reactivated my iPhone 6S Plus that is slowly dying and ordered an iPhone 11 at the Verizon store. I ordered an iPhone 11 because my wife recently upgraded to an iPhone SE and has absolutely no problems with her phone. She chose the SE because she wanted a home button. So far, her phone has been excellent and what you would expect from an Apple iPhone. After this iPhone 11 purchase, I don’t plan to buy another iPhone anytime soon until they get their act together. This iPhone 13 has been a miserable failure for me.

Beware!! Must Activate Phone Before Leaving Store

What is not great is Best Buy's policy that you have to activate the phone before you leave!! No problem if it is your plan, but if you are on someone else's plan then the owner of the plan must show up in person. This was a big hassle for us. I just don't understand why they can't just sell you the phone and let us worry about activating it. TERRIBLE POLICY!!! 5 stars for the phone (you can get the phone anywhere) 1 star rating for the hassle!

Apple will not help

Then when screen popped off screen from removing case apple was going to charge me for repair due to physical damage even though the phone was only week old after replaced the fourth time and took off case only to have it looked at in visit with geek squad.

Could not add a line on Verizon
