Pretty Good So Far

This was the first time I was able to do the phone transfer setup and was pleasantly surprised to have found everything the same as my last device. The camera is quite nice, especially since I take many photos. I'm not a fan of the face ID and I am getting used to having no home button. Doesn't feel particularly different from the last few iPhone iterations.

The best iPhone I’ve ever used, but…

However, this iPhone 13 Pro is the best iPhone I’ve personally used in years. A lot of gripes I used to have with the older models are gone (except for the notorious “notch”). You can immediately tell the major differences with ProMotion and the camera upgrades but there are many other things that you find when you go deep in the system. So what’s the problem? The notch is still there, it is still an eye sore and while they did shrink it slightly in size, it is taller which is noticeable on wide videos (big bummer). More importantly, the OS is not utilizing the space left after reducing the notch - meaning no battery percentage.

The 13 pro is essentially the same but with a bit better camera. Overall, its still a great phone and I get everything that I need done. I have a screen protector and a case, my kids have dropped the phone on concrete several times and still looks in perfect condition. Worth it.
