To my shock, after gifting the phone, we realized it is not unlocked. It shows clearly in the settings: Carrier Lock: SIM locked We were unable to connect to any operators outside the U.S. This defeats the entire purpose of buying an “unlocked” device. Reference ID: 367026600 — so I don’t have to explain everything again. Extremely frustrated. This is misleading advertising and wasted time, especially when it was bought as a special gift. I expected better from Best Buy. I can provide screenshots and proof.

My box arrived tampered with and the phone had been stolen! Best Buy refused to replace it and I received no resolution to the issue and after several attempts they told me to contact my local police and they wouldn't help either. I spent over $600 and I am without the phone feeling cheated and extremely disappointed in Best Buy. Do not order online but go to the store if you don't want this to happen to you!
