The newest IPhone product from Apple in 2016 has more features than the previous model. The 7 Plus has a second camera lens in back (a feature that the IPhone 7 doesn't have). It takes high quality pictures. The phone is a bit bulky for small pockets and might not fit some shirt pockets. It's a bit heavy, too, because it's somewhat larger than most phones. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack on this generation. You can use the new Apple Airpods (or other Bluetooth wireless headphones (both of these must be purchased separately)), earbuds with a Lightning connector (which also work on IPhone 6 & 5 models), or the Lightning dongle connected to regular earbuds. The phone is waterproof as long as it's not in the water too long or too deep.

Great phone. Has speed, and holds the battery for a few days. Easy to read and use. One thing I particularly like is the health icon (❤️) that comes with the phone and the updates on older phones. You can fill it in and medical people have access in case of an emergency.

I had the 6s prior to buying this phone and needed to upgrade. The price was right and I didn't really expect a huge difference, but the camera is a lot better, it seems more responsive and the battery life is a litte better. I like the larger screen too.

I had the 7 and decided to get 7 plus for the bigger screen and better camera and I’m loving it! It’s got way better of a battery life than my 7! Love the portrait mode on the camera too!! Love love love

My wife upgraded her 6+ to the 7+ when her previous lease was up. She debated on going with the plus or the regular version because we had nothing but trouble with the 6+. All 4 of us had the 6+ and every single one of us had issues with them. From bending to the touchscreen not working reliably to extremely sensitive glass, we all had serious issues. So far, the 7+ is a far superior phone. Other than the standard upgrades that are typical (faster processor, better screen, better camera), the important upgrades are in the hardware itself. The 7+ has a more rugged glass and is water resistant. It remains to be seen if the durability will follow through for the entire 2 years, but the upgrades are a positive from the get go. My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the same as for the 7 as the 7+. They made small design changes that don't seem to affect usability or serve any other purpose, but alter the physical layout just enough to make old cases not work. My wife's old case first perfectly on the new phone, but the camera was partially obscured by the cutout. So same physical dimensions (or nearly), but they moved the camera a 1/4" so now old cases are worthless. I don't understand the point, but maybe someone from the Apple design team can give a plausible reason. From an end-user point of view, it's unnecessary and just costs more money.

Great phone. I love the size of the phone, the overall ease of use, and the reliable operating system that comes along with it. The only reason for the 1 less star is the lack of a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Not used to it. Everything up till has had one ... thanks!

I’m going to start with my buying experience at Best Buy. I returned two times with the phone because of some issues. First, I bought the phone and had to return because my price match discount was not applied correctly when I purchased the phone (I bought it outright). When I returned, it was an easy process, everyone was accommodating, apologetic and took care of the issue quickly. The second time I returned was because I was told when I purchased the phone that it was through my service provider and found out later that it was not. On my third trip (second return) to Best Buy, I was informed that the iPhones they sell are not carrier specific but universal even though they are authorized dealers of several cell phone carriers. Even though I had to spend another two hours there trying to get my phone activated, the Best Buy rep that helped me was very friendly and took the time to work with me to finally get the phone working. It was a long process and I was frustrated and exhausted but was never treated poorly and was provided courteous assistance till the issue was resolved. Now, about the phone. First of all, I am one of those people who uses my phone till it’s completely going out and practically (sometimes literally) non-functional. So I have had my iPhone 5s forever because it’s a well made phone and has lasted all this time. I recently began noticing low battery life and decided to finally upgrade. My plan was to go up one generation, so iPhone 6, but after some thinking realized that the 7 model would probably give me much more time than the 6 because it’s two generations newer than the 6 and not much older than the 8 and X. Not only did I save hundreds by getting into an “older” model, but also got a much needed upgrade from my 5s. Let’s talk about size. At first, going from my tiny 5s to my (what felt like an almost iPad size) 7 Plus was a bit strange and I felt ridiculous carrying the phone around; however, I absolutely LOVE my iPhone 7 Plus! Not only is it much easier to watch videos (YouTube, Netflix etc.) when traveling, but I also do a lot of work on my phone such as texting, emailing and reviewing documents which is so much easier to do on the larger screen. And realistically, it’s not as cumbersome as it seemed at first. It’s lightweight, thin and sleek. It looks very sharp and the screen/picture quality is phenomenal! Not to mention, it is fast and smooth moving between screens, apps, websites etc. I absolutely LOVE my new iPhone 7 Plus. Well worth the buy!

Nice screen. Relatively fast. Nice camera. The Apple message app isnt as functional as the Android equivalent put works well. Lets hope Apple doesnt software obsolete it in a couplr years like they do on their other products.

Why the heck would anyone want a large phone display? The non plus versions were perfectly fine. This has been my thought the whole time since the first plus release, until my wife got this phone. Now I'm jealous of its feel and size. What a great device, large display, ease of handling, and its still an iPhone. Waiting on my contract to end so I can pick one up myself!

- Blazing fast, a performance improvement from 6S Plus, top-heavy apps download in seconds - The lag for TouchID is reduced, this is important as I use it not only for opening the phone but for Apple Pay, Visa checkout and use TouchID for all my bank logins. Much safer on unsecured networks, I hope. - Dual Speakers make it easier to watch videos with no headphones as it's louder - EarPods seem to sound better, but they're still uncomfortable in my ears after 30 minutes. The lightning connector Headphones work on all my previous iOS devices. It's nice that Apple gave the little accessory to connect mono audio jack but what's with the tiny stuff. I'm so mystified since the tiny attachments of Apple Pencil! - And the Dual camera- it takes really sharp pictures much sharper than my iPhone 6 Plus up to the 2X magnification. The lowlight performance is also better. I am waiting for the next iOS 10.1 update to really see the ability of the portrait mode that was showcased during the launch keynote. It's also better for low light and pets as I'm getting sharper images of my dog who cannot sit still even for a second. However, I took my selfie and since this camera is so improved, I'm getting almost DSLR quality results. Now I can actually do my makeup with the selfie camera on! The flash is also now metered to 3 different levels rather than one. Some stuff has improved due to iOS10 - love the new messaging enhancements, new Home app, the enhancements in the Health app, force touch is now better than ever, some keyboards have been added and I'm loving the Hinglish keyboard. Overall it's still a nice phone, and it's better than the previous version, but I expect something more revolutionary from Apple. This was more of an enhancement than complete innovation.

Upgraded from 6 plus after several years and happy with purchase esp improved camera and processing speed. Heard it is water resistant. Not thrilled that the headphone jack was removed but will adapt.

My new iPhone 7 Plus is my best iPhone yet?! It has everything plus a big 5.5 inch screen. The camera on it is phenomenal. It has great battery life and is splash and water resistant.

I love this phone! The size is perfect for watching videos and the camera has some great new features that the last version did not have. I purchased the rose gold color which is beautiful. I do notice that people cant hear me sometimes when my life case is on but other than that... great phone!

The best battery life, 5.5 inch Retina HD display, water resistant, great 12MP camera and 4K video. Does it get any better than that! I love my new phone.

Great phone with an awesome camera! Would recommend to my family and friends ! Great screen that makes it easier to see and text . I have had a lot of iPhones in the past this is my favorite!!
