The product was just as expected based on other reviews. Be aware that Best Buy charges at least $100 more for this phone than anywhere else. To only pay the advertised (Apple) retail price you have to ask the salesperson to price match.

This phone is amazing. I have been an Android user for many many years and was skeptical about going back to an iPhone. But the size of the new Galaxy Note 8 made the decision for me. I wanted a big phone and I love it.

I bought this for my very persistent daughter....she loves it. Although the features aren’t that different than the 7 except for the camera which is far better, it is a huge hit. Now I don’t need to buy a dog!

I had a iPhone 6 128gb for nearly the last 3 years, was very happy with it till last 2 months when battery started over heating and it would charge erratically. Had apple replace the battery in August, fixed battery problems for $80. With 128gb I could no longer keep as much music on the phone as I would have liked (+15K song library could only keep about 9k songs on the phone. So iPhone 8+ with 256gb seemed like the obvious choice. My wife as had S7edge plus for about 2 years. We frequently compare photos take from her S7+ to my iPhone. For last 2 years it was obvious that the S7+ took better photos under almost all circumstances (only exception might be iPhone's panorama view is easier to use and more stable). But for any simple photos S7 was better, so I'd keep my Sony Super zoom handy at all times. Upon getting the iPhone 8+ the first thing I notice was how much heavier it was than iPhone 6; i generally keep my phone in my front right pocket, iPhone 6 was barely noticeable, with the iPhone 8+in my front pocket I know it is there! But I can live with it, the larger screen is easier for my aging eyes to read, I've had some issues with the phone "remembering" the brightness setting, hopefully this will be addresses with a fw/update; new iOS release have often gone through a few quick update to fix minor issues. Any how I enjoy the larger screen area, a fair trade off for it increased weight. Now back to the photos, comparing the iPhone 8+ to the S7+ it's now pretty much a draw, S7+ seems a bit more colorful but with dark pictures the iPhone may be a little bit better. When using both in portrait mode, the IPhone cannot always seem to accurately determine where it wants sharp focus/soft focus to start/end; leading to some unpredictable results. That said, the S7+ has it own portrait issue where the background still remains in sharp focus. The iPhone's image stabilization is a big improvement (too many years in coming) and I'm glad it there, it does help to take better photos. Now why didn't I wait for the iPhoneX, well it had nothing to do with it's cost, rather the incremental improvements (I little more screen, OLED - but the same brightness) versus the big unknown, facial recognition. I'm accustomed the the home button and the fingerprint working pretty much all the time I did not wan to risk a possibly flaky new, yet to be widely tested, interface to potentially effect (slow down) the user interface/experience. Maybe after a million or 2 have tested it and it's been tweaked, I be confident in it. Right now I'll let some one else test it and tell me how it goes. sorry apple, you don't always get it right the first time (maps remember); and that was much easier than facial recognition.

Replaced my old iPhone because it would not hold a charge for longer than a couple of hours. This phone will hold a charge all day long with moderate usage. Not sure I need 256 GB of storage, but we'll see.

I've had three previous iPhones in the past. When it was time for a new one, I wasn't sure what to get. I didn't want the pay the extra for the X, and I came close to opting for a Galaxy, but I opted for the 8+. While it looks the same as every iPhone has forever, it works so much faster than my previous iPhone 6. The size takes some getting use to, but I'm growing to like it. I like that it still has the fingerprint sensor. I don't like that the absence of a headphone jack. At this point, I'm adjusting to that, but that would be my biggest reservation to keeping the phone at this time. If you're in the Apple Eco-system, I think this is a good way to go to get new features without paying for the newest X.

Dont listen to all the hype, i love this phone so clean crisp and fast it is absolutely beutiful it truly is a must to own. I went from the 6s plus to this and i am so glad i did VERY VERY PLEASED......

I was contemplating between iPhone X and iPhone 8 Plus and I realized that iPhone X doesn't have the home button, which I would miss. Great phone.

Wife and I upgraded our old phones finally to the 8+. Thought about the new iPhone 10/X but really didn’t need to get crazy with the slight differences between the two. We love the new phones!

My finally decided to upgrade her iPhone 5 to the iPhone 8 plus before an international trip as she wanted it to take pictures with it instead of dragging her heavy iPad along. She loves it. She is enjoying the larger screen size and decided she did not need to upgrade her iPad to a newer model as now that she has the bigger screen on the iPhone 8 plus, she has all she needs. Now she can use finger print to open phone and use for several other apps as well without having to remember passwords. The phone is slim and has a very solid feel to it and the "rose" color is quite nice. Put a Tech 21 case on it for added protection. Great addition to the iPhone family of phones.

Good phone for everyday use. Battery seems to last just about all day screen is decent not like a galaxy but for a average user is a great phone overall. If you want power go for a Galaxy

I actually was not going to go back with the iPhone. I had upgraded to the Galaxy 9+ but returned it in less than 24 hours. I have been an Apple girl for over 10 years. My 7 plus started acting up and the would have just gotten another 7+ but the red one that I had only came with 128G and I needed more memeory bc my whole life is on it. The only downer is that is a little heavier than my 7+. Overall...I absolutely love my new phone!

Upgraded from 6s+. Worth the upgrade. Home button was weird at first but now I like it even more than the actual button on the 6 and other previous models. Battery lasts quite a while.

I am new to the iphone. Have always had androids. Decided to make the switch with a buy one get one free promo and am happy with my decision. Just know if you qualify for promo through att - the credit for iPhone 8 plus has a max. of $700 credit which the salesperson did not tell me. He shared 2nd phone is free so might as well go with the plus. Att actually charges on bill for 2nd phone then credit is made to the account each month. That was fine however I had to pay the difference over $700 since fine print directly received from att showed that. Otherwise I would have went with the regular iphone 8. In the end though the 8 plus camera is pretty SWEET!

Time to upgrade my phone as it was 4 yearS old and some apps weren’t working. I was always an Apple user so upgraded to the new phone with a bigger screen that I can read easier

I switched from Samsung to Apple recently for my personal phone. I absolutely love it. In my line of work I drive to numerous clients a day and Apple Maps has saved me the stress from calling the client and asking for directions where they live. Google maps has not been accurate lately for me. Bless this phone and it’s maps! Not difficult to operate. Easy to get used to. Still more tricks to learn. Before I never wanted to buy Apple products, I was afraid to get sucked in. If you can’t beat them and everyone else loves them, might as well give it a try. And now I love the phone and I’m thinking of purchasing more Apple products.

I was torn between the 8+ and the 10. Ultimately I decided on the 8+, and am really happy with what it has to offer. The pictures are fantastic- clear as day. Great phone!

This phone has the most amazing camera, which is the reason I purchased it. The quality of photos is so professional and the portrait setting yields SPECTACULAR photos!
