You can no longer call Android the value king. While I wish the battery would last a full day under moderate to heavy use I cant get over the speed and value this new SE provides! I use it for work and my Samsung S20 for play but I never feel I'm missing a beat with the SE! Best $399 or less smart phone in years!

Great phone for those who don't want a lot of extras that never get used or desired. It is sleek in design, excellent quality, and perfect for users whose focus is more on calling, texting, and basic Internet options. Don't overpay for functions you don't need or rarely use.

This is a much more affordable phone than any of Apples other phones. It looks like an iPhone 8 but functions like their newer models as it has better processing power. The camera is just okay but for the price it’s not too bad. It does not have Face ID and no portrait mode.

Great way to get access to an iPhone on a strict budget. You are essentially getting an iPhone 11 in the chassis of an iPhone 8, minus 2 of the 3 cameras the iPhone 11 gives you. It is an excellent phone for what it is. I guess now that the iPhone 11 is discounted thanks to the iPhone 12 release ($600) it is not AS good a deal as it was before the Sept 2020, but still for some people $400 out of pocket is more attractive than $600. Best Buy still seems to be selling the older box model of this unit (which is what I got store pickup), so you might get lucky and find yourself the proud owner of a pair of Earpods and power brick. Otherwise, iPhone SE boxes have gone the way of the 11 and 12 boxes - no Earpods, no power brick, just a single lightning cable. The camera is excellent being that is the same as the iPhone 11. And since the hardware is all the same as the iPhone 11, the performance is excellent. Highly recommended.

For $399, this phone is unbeatably priced. I dropped my Pixel 2, which I loved, into a tank of whiskey and it eventually gave up on this life. I wanted something small and reasonably priced and the SE is perfect. The brand new operating system is the same as in the 11 Pro and Pro Max so it’s very fast, snappy, and the screen is beautiful. The setup was easy. I’ve never setup ban unlocked phone before and I was finished in less than 10min. Just swap the SIM card with the included tool (or spend 30min searching your house for something small enough to use) and you’re good to go. All of my contacts downloaded straight from the google cloud so going from android to apple was not difficult. My two main complaints about this phone are the camera quality and the screen size. I know it sounds weird to complain about screen size when I wanted a small phone, but the SE kept the overlarge black bezels on the top and bottom of the screen, which takes up space that could’ve easily been covered by more screen. The camera works fine and it has all the modes like panorama, slow motion, and portrait but it’s just nowhere close to the Pixels or the 11 Pro and Pro Max. That being said, unless the camera quality is vital to you, it works just fine for the occasional selfie, food picture, or sunset. I quickly stopped caring about the lack of camera quality in the face of the value.

Cute little iphone! I you don’t like bulky phones this is it! So comfortable to hold and of course the responsiveness on iPhones are amazing. I had so many apps open and the phone wasn’t slowed at all. I like how affordable it is as well.

Best value replacement for my iphone 6 that had a battery issue after 5 years of usage. It is compatible in screen size for eyesight and ease of keyboard typing for messages/email/search in safari. So far it has been a good replacement. Book reading on it is still a slight strain but i use an ipad for book reading.

Owner of the SE 1st generation and loved the small size. Unfortunately it broke and decided to got for the 2nd gen. Was not disappointed great camera and much faster processor

The SE 2020 is a great device overall. Albeit a little boring. It's the same design we've come to know since the iphone 6. If asthetics don't mean anything to you and you are familiar with ios then you'll get along just fine with this device. Battery life could be better of course since it's a smaller battery and battery usage always depends on the user but it's snappy, apps load quick, it's pocket friendly and of course the best part..several years of updates. If you're looking to get into a modern iphone specs wise then this is your option.

All the guts of an iPhone 11 but half the price. This phone works great and has done the trick. It’s a smaller size so easier to carry and looks very similar to an iPhone 7. Just works better and more effectively than it’s predecessor

I bought this phone as my back-up phone. I have it so if my iPhone 12 Pro-Max is lost/damaged, I can have a decent phone in the meantime. Let's start with the facts. Going from a large phone (any plus or max phone) this thing feels tiny. Doesn't really feel right. However, it never slows down, and the camera is pretty good. Internally, it has a great processor, decent battery, and still has all my iPhone back-up stuff on it. Still has no problems with the newer iOS. I feel like if you need a good iPhone on a budget, you really can't go wrong with this phone.

Good phone. If you like small screen size, you would love it. very fast processor. You will hear other reviews mentioning about the low battery size. However, I did not feel battery is an issue at all. Charges pretty fast as it is a small battery and there is the availability of fast charging. Lasts a day easily. Me being a light to moderate user - battery drains from 85% to 50% after a days work. Overall a good buy for the price.

I actually bought this for myself but UPS took their time delivering it and I ended up picking up another one at the store. The kid needed a new phone (because kids don’t appreciate things they don’t pay for and his is all smashed up) so he took a look at it and wanted it. It’s a bit of an upgrade to his 7 and he seemed excited (so it must be good enough for Tik Tok videos). He agreed to work for it so he’s got himself a new iPhone. Nice screen, fast processor, inexpensive, and easy to copy his stuff over from his old one. He’s happy with it and he’s been working it off, little by little.

Size is perfect, generation one SE was fine in 2016 but the 4.7 inch screen and really sleek feel and look makes this iPhone a winner. Throw in the same exact chip as on the $1,100 iPhone Pro Max and you have a fast and smooth operating phone with a top notch processor. Screen is nice and the speakers are amazing. Very happy with my purchase!

This was a very good cell phone idea what it was supposed to do no problems with it. Easy to use easy to understand we highly recommended.

This phone is honestly the best deal for your money. I bought mine before they announced the iPhone 12, so at the time, you couldn't beat this. This phone was included with the same chip that was included in the iPhone 11 and most of the same camera functions. And I am good to keep receiving updates for quite some time. I highly suggest this for a pre-teen or an older parent/grandparent who isn't caring about the latest and greatest. If you're like me, this makes a great phone for Apple Carplay if your car doesn't support AA.

Good one in terms of price and looks...but not have a lot of OS features...

This is the best thing to happen to iPhone since the iPhone 6 launched back in the day. Think of the SE 2 as a Ford Fiesta with a Mustang engine! Your getting the body style of the iPhone 8 with the internal chip of the iPhone 11! Battery life is great as well, around 8PM I would be around 22% with a full days use. The camera takes great shots with vivid colors. Speed is insane, runs smooth and fast. If your thinking about upgrading that older iPhone, this would be a GREAT deal. I chose the unlocked version 128GB and was enough.

The iPhone SE was the only phone I ever really liked. Just the right size and powerful. I still have my original (in fact I am writing this review on it). I like the new one, I got it as a work phone as I do video conferencing on it and run a bunch of business applications on it and didn’t want to use my personal phone. The new SE is bigger than my old one but not too much. The screen is great for videos and it is as fast as my wife’s iPhone X. When this SE finally dies I will definitely be getting the SE second generation.

Great pocket-sized phone. It does nearly all things its more expensive alternatives do. If you're looking for an iPhone for at a solid price, there's little reason to ignore the iPhone SE. It hasn't disappointed in terms of bang for bucks. Its total size is just right for the front pocket or any small area - a point that its bigger-sized competitors can't boast to the same extent.
