Not a fan of silicone

Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have tried on several occasions to get used to the feel on Apple’s silicone case, with the X, XS Max and 12. I’ve wasted my money. It feels chalky and slippery to me (yeah, weird combo, I know) - not a good sensation in my hands. I’ll stick to leather.

Not that great

Great minimalist design for basic protection

I've typically used the leather ones, but since the iPhone 7, they made a change to the leather that made it more slippery so I thought I'd try the silicone case. I've only had it for a day so far, but I like how it fits and the feel of the silicone has the right amount of grip so it's not too tacky but not slippery either. It is great if you don't want to add much bulk to your phone and want some basic protection from scratches and bumps. If you drop your phone a lot, I would not trust this to protect your investment from anything more than falling a couple feet... on carpet.

Poor durability
