Coming from a Samsung galaxy note 8, this phone is a breath of mobile fresh air. The note 8 isn’t a bad phone, I just prefer apple to android. I love the big screen and the form factor. It’s the same size as the iPhone 8 Plus, just with a better, bigger, badder screen. The phone is definitely faster than the Note8 and the iPhone 8 Plus. Opening apps, playing intense games, streaming video, this phone can handle it. The phone is a bit pricey. It will definitely leave a dent in your bank account. It doesn’t have a ton of features like the note 8 or 9. The phone definitely leaves something to desire in that department. But the build quality is top notch (no pun intended) The metal and glass will have you feeling like you just bought a piece of cutting-edge tech. The cameras are great, I’ve taken a bunch of pictures in all kinds of lighting conditions and they look fantastic. If you’re a person who likes accurate photos, this phone is for you. In conclusion, if you love big iPhones, upgrade to this. Just keep in mind that it’s expensive. Starting $1099, you’re going to be set back if you paid full price like I did. But it’s definitely worth it if you have a iPhone 7 or below or if you want a bigger version of the iPhone X

    iPhone XS Max

I've had an iPhone 6 Plus for 4 and a half years and I've been very happy with it. I checked out the new phones and saw that the XS Max was the same size as my 6 Plus but the whole screen was used. So I purchased it. It works a little different than the plus (no home button, shuts off differently, among a few things), but I've gotten used to the differences and I actually prefer them. I love the Face recognition feature, and I love swiping up to get out of an app. It's a lot faster than the Plus and Siri is easier to use. I haven't had any problems charging it because I charge it wirelessly. I love that feature. Apple products are great because I can back them up to my computer and when I get a new product just restore it from the backup and everything is there. My games are where I left off, all of my texts are there. It's great. The only downside is it's a little heavier but that's nothing. So all in all, I'm really glad I bought this phone.

The display is what put it over the top for me and was the main reason I purchased it! The screen is just beautiful and big and that’s what I love! Coming from a plus model, I’m use to the big phones and have had one since they first introduced them, so the size doesn’t bother me at all. With it being all screen now it can be a little more challenging to reach certain parts of the screen even with big hands, but Apple still has the reachability feature on these which makes it easier. The phone feels amazing and very high quality. iOS over the last few generations lost that buttery smooth feel it use to have, Apple has definitely changed that with iOS 12. iOS 12 is a big on improvement on all hardware that will run it, but on the Xs and Xs Max with the 4GB of ram it is seemless like it use to be. These aren’t cheap phones , but they’re definitely worth it if you’re in the market for one. If I had one knock it would be that Apple still ships these with the 5w charging brick even though these phones support fast charging. This to me inexcusable for a phone of this price in 2018/19. If you like a big screen, this thing will satisfy all your needs.

    From 6Plus to Xs Max

I’ve had this phone now for about three full days and I am extremely happy with my decision to buy. My 6Plus was a bit slow and I can see the difference. The screen is beautiful to look at, the size is perfect, the pictures are amazing for a phone camera, Face ID has worked flawlessly so far including in dark rooms, this phone is water proof, and the 256gb of memory has finally allowed me to have everything I want in my phone. I highly recommend this phone if you need an upgrade. My only complaint for the price I paid for this phone is I wish the front camera was the same as the 12MP camera in the back. We all take selfies and I can see the loss in quality when compared to the back camera (though I can also see the vast improvement when compared to my 6Plus). Other than that I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

I was upgrading from an iPhone 6 Plus, not the 6s model, and needless to say there have been some pretty decent upgrades in 4 years as far as phones go. The best part of this upgrade, is the OLED screen. Assuming that most people have experience with an iPhone that are considering this one, 64GB is not going to be enough if you enjoy taking a lot of photos and/or videos without uploading this to a computer, online cloud options, or deleting some. Of the 64GB, the operating system takes approximately 6GB as of now, leaving you with 58GB for apps, photos, etc. Plenty for me, but just know your data usage and consider if this will be enough for you. If you have never owned an iPhone before, this is a great option that is basically a miniature laptop so take good care of it and it can last you 4-5 years pretty easy.

I have been an iPhone 6s user for the last 3 years. When I decided to upgrade my 6s, I thought of using Android to see how it felt like, as the last Android phone I used was almost 3 years ago and Android has come a long way in the mean while. So, I bought a Note 9. Even though Note 9 is a great phone with many good features and customization options, after using it for about 10 days, I realized that I terribly miss iOS. It may not make a huge difference if you don't use your computer much. But, if you are habituated to using a Mac along with your iPhone, it makes a huge difference. I also felt that the UI is better in iOS, that's my personal opinion though. So, after ten days of using Note 9, I exchanged it for iPhone XS Max and it's been an amazing experience so far. The larger screen has its advantages and is amazing for reading articles, web browsing and content consumption, but may be a bit harder to use with one hand unlike iPhone XS.

Bought this for my girlfriend on valentine's day. She definitely needed an upgrade from her previous iPhone 6s and she is totally in love with it now. It was an in-store purchase and there is no question about the quality of the product. It was top-notch. I am an android guy but after playing with it for couple of days now, I can say that this is the best iPhone out there. Top of the class display, radient colors, excellent camera (I rate it as second best after pixel), high performance (been 15 days and no lag as per my girlfriend) and excellent battery life. The only potential down-side would be the cost as it is definitely expensive but in my case, it was the right purchase and the right time to do it :)

I Originally decided to wait on buying another iPhone due to the fact that my 6s was still functioning well and I wasn’t to happy about having the TouchID feature removed. However, upgrades are imminent in time so I waited for the second line of this new concept to drop (gives time for those quirks to be worked out) and I must say now that I have been using it it for several weeks, it is pretty flawless. For me I’ve enjoyed the new gesture and FaceID features. Performance is quick and fluent and the battery “as expected” last longer. It’s fast charging works well and overall sound is a bit louder. All in all it’s an Apple device, quite pricey, but nicely designed and for us long standing Apple users this simply means you get what you pay for.

I've only had the XS Max one day but so far very impressed! Screen is larger without being too big ( phablet) and the processor is a lot faster than previous phones. Not having the home button is taking some getting used to and I love being able to unlock the phone with facial recognition. One of the best features of this phone is the ability to charge wirelessly! And the battery life was definitely improved with this model; I charged mine to 100% and have now went about 30 hours of moderate use and the phone still has 40%. I really like this iPhone so far and glad I made the jump.

Overall, this phone is fantastic. I have owned every single iPhone since the iPhone 4 and I truly enjoy the iOS ecosystem. I agree that they are way overpriced, but you get what you pay for. Quality craftsmanship and quality parts cost money to make, so it is understandable. The massive screen looks great, as to be expected. The cameras are good, but not as good as the Pixel 3 XL. Battery life is PHENOMENAL! I can easily get two full days out of this phone (I am on it a lot, but I take many steps to make sure I get the best battery life possible [shutting off background refresh, shutting down apps, shutting off Bluetooth and wifi when not in use, etc.]). Overall, you will love this phone, as long as you can deal with how big it is.

Honestly guys I can’t express how much love I have for the new iPhone XS Max. I’ve owned an iPhone ever since the 3GS when I was 7. I’ve owned other phones along the way like Samsung’s, Sony’s, a old Windows phone. I honestly would never leave the Apple world of technology. The Face ID isn’t even an issue if you are worried about that because every app I use with a password or that uses Touch ID allows for Face ID as well, that includes USAA a Government banking app! The cameras a absolutely phenomenal as well, talk about a professional level outcome! The screen is gorgeous too, honestly the notch is unique and I like it, it doesn’t interfere or get in the way with anything.

Bought this phone for the wife, the Gold looks pretty good this time too and apparently it is one of the more popular colors. Anyway, the highlight here is the OLED screen, which if you have never owned an OLED television or spent any time with an OLED screen the difference in colors and blacks will be a delight to you. Everything else is as you would expect from an iPhone, high quality. If you have never owned an iPhone before, this is a little pricey but if you take care of it then it will serve you 4 years pretty easily, and longer but after about 4 years you may start to notice not all apps will be compatible with it anymore (typically games and such).

This is the best phone that I have ever owned. I used to have an apple phone back when they first came out and 3-4 models after that. Quickly I realized that apple was not making changes to screen size or functionality. That’s when I went with Android and been there ever since till this phone. Let me tell you that this max iPhone is awesome, amazing and better then android for several reasons. One reason is the apple ecosystem, it just works so flawlessly and the quality of apps is equally amazing. Overall the build quality and overall phone is very premium compared to the competitors. I recommend to anyone family and friends.

I’ve wanted an iPhone that was bigger but didn’t feel like a tablet in my pocket. Enter iPhone XS Max. It’s bigger but feels smaller than my friends galaxy and note they use. It’s fast, easy to use, love the camera, everything looks amazing on the 4K display. Battery life is about what I’m use to with modern smart phones, nothing groundbreaking. I really enjoy watching videos and movies with the stereo speakers, it sounds a bit louder but the sound coming from top and bottom really has an impact on everything I listen too. Everything we love about iPhones and then some .

The phone is overpriced however it does do what it needs to do. Things I don't like are a few: 1. The notch, apple needs to change that. 2. No usb type c connection. It still uses the thunderbolt. 3. No expandable memory. 4. No headphone jack. You must purchase a dongle. The one thing that I feel this phone does do well is capture video and audio. When filming something loud, it doesn't seem to be distort audio like the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. If you're accustomed to the apple eco system then you will get plenty of enjoyment from this phone.

The camera is all the good things said about it and more! I took pictures of some pigeons on top of a church few buildings away and I had the XR and the Max and the difference is day and night! You could not even make out that they were pigeons if you didn’t zoom in on the picture. The max , after taking the pictures at 10x close you were able to see they were pigeons. The XR phone didn’t even bring in that close to the birds. If you want to take really great pictures get the Max, if you just concern with talking on the phone get the XR works great for that

Upgraded from a 6S Plus, yes, I was way overdue. I was skeptical of the facial recognition and was afraid it would take me forever to figure out how to navigate the features. However, it has been a relatively easy transition. The facial recognition is actually quite handy and the camera is amazing! I never really watched movies on my phone before but I tried it out just to test the quality. Wow! John Wick looks better on my phone than my tv! Overall, very satisfied and have even convinced my husband who is attached to his 5s (I know) that he needs an upgrade too!

So far so good with my new iPhone which was a replacement for my iPhone 6S Plus. Same size, but more screen area so able to see more. Has taken some time to get used to the swiping motion you use to open things rather than pushing the home button, but the good thing is there are no longer open pages which I would forever forget to close and then spend some time closing them all when it seemed that my battery was depleting or the phone seemed to slow down.

I started as an iPhone user way back on the 3GS, and went up to the 6. Just to try something different, I switched to a Galaxy S8. It wasn't bad, but just simply not as smooth and fluid as iOS. I have finally returned to Apple with the iPhone XS Max. iMessage is flawless and the best messaging service around. iOS is snappy and facial recognition is near flawless. Absolutely in love with it, and glad I went with the max for the size.

I have this phone myself XS, I absolutely fell in love with it. I got the phone on the day it came out... love Best Buy, only place to get my phone from. Bought the phone for my mother, she’s 59 (sorry mom). But she’s able to use it, even Face ID, passwords saved. Took her just over a week, the no button is the only thing that took her so long to learn it. Just from years of doing it. But it’s easy...
