This my first upgrade since iPhone 6S, I was skeptical, primarily because I am used to with Home button and there is no such provision on the new phone and also it required me to learn new gestures but to my surprise, it is so easy to navigate and I don't miss the Home button at all. The Face ID is seamless, it is easy to setup and use. I also noticed the speed difference between my earlier phones and new Xs Max. I use complete anatomy app regularly on my phone, there is no lag in starting the app or researching human anatomy on the device at all. I am glad I made the switch. I am sure, people with iPhone X may not find it too different but it is certainly a device to switch to if you are using iPhone 5 through iPhone 8+. I ordered the device online at Best Buy, the process was extremely easy, the notification through email and text kept me updated with order process steps. I was notified to pick up when order was ready for delivery, the person at local Best Buy store was very quick and pleasing. I was in and out of the store in less than 5 mins. I would recommend Best Buy online service as well.

The design and gold color of the phone are beautiful. The phone is very fast. The camera is the best I've seen in a phone. The 6.5 inch screen is very bright and sharp, with perfect blacks. The battery easily lasts all day. I am very pleased.

The first thing you will notice is how premium it feels in your hands. The glass on both sides seem very durable (stronger glass as they advertised, and I believe it), and the feel of the design is flawless. The notch at the top is something I didn't like before buying, but I found myself not even noticing it. This could be due to getting the Max size. The beauty of the large screen really takes over. Having never owned a plus sized phone before, I was hesitant to make the change. However, I definitely do not regret it. In fact, I will probably never go back to regular sized phones anymore because the larger screen is just way nicer to me. I was worried the bigger phone would be more inconvenient, but that's not the case at all. I got used to it on the first day and was so glad to make the change. Also, IOS is magically smooth. I came from Android with the Samsung Galaxy S8, and while it was a quality device, I have to say Apple's IOS runs quite a bit more smoothly. It really makes life better. I do appreciate both OS's, but for simplicity, clarity, and ease of daily use, I'd stick with iPhone. In conclusion, do try out the Max version if you are on the border of deciding. You spend a lot of time looking at your phone for all of your content, and I guarantee the larger screen size will be more pleasing. If you aren't into the largeness for convenience reasons, then the regular will do fine. Of course, everyone's different. Personally, I was able to adjust right away and it doesn't feel big anymore. The Max also has longer battery life compared to the regular. You can go through a whole day with many hours of heavy usage and still have a good amount of battery remaining by the end of the day.

I've only had the XS Max one day but so far very impressed! Screen is larger without being too big ( phablet) and the processor is a lot faster than previous phones. Not having the home button is taking some getting used to and I love being able to unlock the phone with facial recognition. One of the best features of this phone is the ability to charge wirelessly! And the battery life was definitely improved with this model; I charged mine to 100% and have now went about 30 hours of moderate use and the phone still has 40%. I really like this iPhone so far and glad I made the jump.

The iPhone XS Max is awesome! Incredible display, great sound quality, and I love the large size. I upgraded from the X just for the bigger display because the X was a great phone. I had just always wished it were a little larger. No home button is awesome, all the gestures feel so natural after only a little use. You will not miss the home button! Battery life is also better. It is simply a high quality device all around and would recommend to everyone! Also, Best Buy is a great place to do your upgrade or first time iPhone purchase!

Purchased this phone as an upgrade for my iPhone 7. I thought that the lack of a fingerprint scanner might be an issue, but face ID works very well. Wireless charging works well through the otterbox commuter case and the battery life is amazing. I typically get two days out of this phone. The size is nice for my large hands. The camera is fantastic and the ability to take 1:1 photos natively through the camera is a convenient bonus. iPhones have done this for a long time, but the convenience and consistency of the apple ecosystem keep me coming back. This phone is expensive. If you keep your phones for a long time, then it's worth it.

Since I upgraded from my old 5s to the current top of the line XS max I wasn't sure what I'd get that was new. So here are just a few that I noticed. Facial recognition is easy to set up and the phone now unlocks when I look at it. Amazing! The cordless charging is awesome. Battery life is a delight especially since my old phone was becoming hard to charge and drained in half a day. Best of all is the MAX size. It still fits in my pocket but I can type on the virtual keyboard if I want. It works smarter and faster. I love it. Just with it has been a bit less expensive... but when it's aid off it will be worth it.

This phone definitely worth a shot if you are upgrading from an IPhone 7 or prior. You will learn quickly operating the phone without the home button. Just make sure you understand all the finger gestures shortcuts it is easy to use! The facial recognition is great and very fast. The camera takes the best pictures I ever seen in a phone. The speakers are loud and have great quality sound. The screen looks awesome. Please make sure you protect your investment using a screen protector. Because of its size there is a high risk of falling if you operate it w one hand. I also love how long the battery lasts!

This is definitely my favorite iPhone so far! Firstly, love the seamless and sleek design. The Rose Gold on this phone is much more 'rose' gold than the previous rose gold items Apple came out with. It is super nice! I love the facial recognition on the new iPhones and the lack of home button - though you may find this weird at first, you will definitely grow used to it, and not miss the archaic home button! Fast phone, beyond excellent camera. Love the connectivity of Apple - phone, watch, MacBook, and AirPods are seamlessly connected.

I upgraded to the XS Max from a 7 Plus. the phone is virtually the same size but there is a huge difference in screen size. I'd thought about going w/ the smaller XS to experience a smaller phone, but at the last minute decided to go with the XS Max...a decision I definitely do not regret. The screen is enormous and beautiful - great to watch videos or TV. I find myself using my iPad less and less. I was also a little skeptical if I'd be happy with faceID vs the fingerprint sensor but my skepticism was unfounded. faceID is so easy to use and makes the overall experience much better. Only in very bright light have I had any issue and had to fall back to typing in my code, but even that has been rare. It is blazing fast, and with the awesome screen size and faceID, I could not be happier with this phone.

The XS Max is a beast of a phone. The screen is beautiful, and it's wicked fast. Battery life is good too. It's the heaviest smartphone I've ever held, and feels sturdy. I like it, but I can't help but feel that it is not worth its XSive price tag. I could buy 2 flagship android smartphones from Oneplus or Huawei for this price.

I upgraded from the iPhone X for the larger size and better battery life. This is a beautiful phone. I would recommend for anyone looking to upgrade from an older model iPhone. The speed is amazing. Photos are outstanding. Just make sure you buy a case and screen protection. I would suggest a glass protector. I bought a Belkin from Apple and they installed it with their machine at their physical store. The protector is expensive ($40.00 yikes!), but knowing it will be perfectly aligned will give you peace of mind.

I had been living with a 5 something since 2012, and since I don’t plan to buy another phone for another 10+ years, this is great. Lots more space and faster! Better pics. Loving it so far! Great battery life so far too! I did have to adjust to the size being bigger, but I love that too.

The display is what put it over the top for me and was the main reason I purchased it! The screen is just beautiful and big and that’s what I love! Coming from a plus model, I’m use to the big phones and have had one since they first introduced them, so the size doesn’t bother me at all. With it being all screen now it can be a little more challenging to reach certain parts of the screen even with big hands, but Apple still has the reachability feature on these which makes it easier. The phone feels amazing and very high quality. iOS over the last few generations lost that buttery smooth feel it use to have, Apple has definitely changed that with iOS 12. iOS 12 is a big on improvement on all hardware that will run it, but on the Xs and Xs Max with the 4GB of ram it is seemless like it use to be. These aren’t cheap phones , but they’re definitely worth it if you’re in the market for one. If I had one knock it would be that Apple still ships these with the 5w charging brick even though these phones support fast charging. This to me inexcusable for a phone of this price in 2018/19. If you like a big screen, this thing will satisfy all your needs.

Bought this for my girlfriend on valentine's day. She definitely needed an upgrade from her previous iPhone 6s and she is totally in love with it now. It was an in-store purchase and there is no question about the quality of the product. It was top-notch. I am an android guy but after playing with it for couple of days now, I can say that this is the best iPhone out there. Top of the class display, radient colors, excellent camera (I rate it as second best after pixel), high performance (been 15 days and no lag as per my girlfriend) and excellent battery life. The only potential down-side would be the cost as it is definitely expensive but in my case, it was the right purchase and the right time to do it :)

Upgraded from iPhone 7 Plus. The phone physically is a bit smaller, but the screen size is larger, and the screen looks great. Camera is very sharp, makes the 7 plus camera look terrible. I really loved the finger print scanner, and was really uncertain about Face ID. But, I’m often wearing gloves at work, so the Face ID makes it so I can unlock with gloves on. Only thing I really don’t like... the price tag. Phones are getting ridiculously expensive.

I upgraded from the X and I’m glad I did. Even though there isn’t much difference between the two, the battery life on this phone is AMAZING! Took me about 3 or 4 days to get used to the size coming from the X, but after that is was all the way live. Pics and videos are top notch, super clear, and this phone is lighting fast! If you’re on the fence about getting this phone just jump off and get it, you’ll be glad you did.

I bought this as a birthday present for my adult daughter who had been an Apple fan since her teens. She didn’t upgrade her phone since 7plus because she didn’t see the new features to be worth the price. Now she loves her new phone and the cool features. She loves the screen size, the display, the Face ID and ease of use. It didn’t take her very long to get used to not having the home button anymore.

I upgraded from the iPhone 7 plus after two years. I was initially had medium expectations with the iPhone X s Max. I was amazed to see and use the abundance of new features. It took about 30 minutes for me to adjust to not having a 'home' button. The Face ID is spot on in any condition of light. Let me also add that using the Face ID to log into accounts is fast and more convenient than remembering and typing in passwords. I like watching movies on my phone. A lot. Having the iPhone Xs Max allows more screen real estate. Another improvement that has been made is the built-in speakers, They are LOUDER and deliver a more true stereo sound compared to the iPhone 7 plus. There are a lot more features that provide ease of access that I didn't know that I wanted. I cannot make any comparisons to the previous iPhone X and at how much if different from that model but I can say that if you are looking to upgrade then I believe that the Xs Max or even the Xs will make you feel great about upgrading. It is worth noting that Apple has made the latest models more sturdy and more water resistant. Time will tell if I will see that is true for me.

iPhone XS Max is a great phone! I had the iPhone X when it first came out. I disliked it due to a few reasons, size and Techical glitches that I ran into. Now with the Max I absolutely love it. It’s fast, it hasn’t glitches or locked up on me. The camera is great for normal photos or snap chatting. The phone service seems to work really well in most places that I go. The battery seems to last a while. I work through Gmail on the sarfari for my job. It gets used quite a bit during the day and I always have battery for when I am relaxing before bed. The facial recognition works extremely well. I haven’t had it have any issues not unlocking my phone. If you are an iPhone fan or looking to switch to this phone I would recommend it.
