I own both an ipod and iphone, and prefer the Shuffle when excersizing. When running I like the fact that I can simply press a button to move on to the next song and adjust volume, without having to stop, look at my screen (which is even more problematic when a bright sunny day), log back in and then select a new song. Ipods and iphones are both awesome when playing music at home or out-and-about, but having to do the above when running, it's obvious one can loose running momentum. The Shuffle is lightweight and easily clips on to your shirt or shorts. It holds plenty of songs, has excellent sound and a good battery life.

This a very handy portable music device and you can't beat it for $49. 2 GB is plenty for decent periods of time. The voice over feature is excellent and allows you to find out the name of the song and artist without having to look at the device. Sound and volume are good. You'll need a $15 adaptor (online) to dock to other devices such as my Harmon Kardon Play 'N Go. If you enjoy quality sound buy a good pair of in-ear earphones.

I had an old ipod touch that I used for music and other misc. things and it died and the price for a new one was just not in my budget. I searched for a cheaper alternative and came across this and read all the great reviews and purchased it immediately. So for other shoppers like me here is my review: Battery life = very good If you are familiar with I-tunes = very easy to load music I've sweated all over it during workouts and works great! Sound quality is what you expect but the best part about it is you can clip it on to anywhere and it stays put. I've been running, biking, and lifting weights and it works great!! Highly recommend this product to workout that way worse case scenario if it does end up breaking you aren't going to have to spend an arm and a leg to replace it. :)

I've had a 1GB for many years now but decided to buy another one - 2GB for the added memory. I use it for walking and love it's simplicity, small size, and especially the clip. It's easy, convenient and dependable.

I recently purchased an iPod shuffle because I wanted to have music but not pay for an expensive iPod Touch. The iPod Shuffle is small and easy to use. I could seamlessly find my favorite song, and then constantly replay it. It can also clip onto clothing, so you don't have to put it in your pocket. Overall, if you want have music and don't want a big, clunky, expensive iPod Touch, get the small, affordable iPod Shuffle.

I use the iPod when I walk. It is perfect. It is small, lightweight and has great volume. It holds a ton of songs so I will never get tired of the music I have on it.

This is my first ipod (welcome to this century, I know). It's just what I expected. Good quality, arrived quickly, was easy to set up and get working. Used it for a half marathon a few weeks ago and it worked great the whole time.

This product was purchased for someone who loves music, but doesn't need all the glammer or technology og other devices. It's easily portable,has a lot of storage, and the clip actually holds the device in place with little to no maintenance.

I really like clarity and the balanced sound. It has a super long battery life on a full charge. I don't like that you can't see what's going to be playing. But compared to other mp3's this has far superior quality..

This is my 4 th shuffle. I use mine mainly to listen to music while I run. So small and has great sound, holds all my music so I never listen to one song twice during a marathon.

Bought this as a birthday gift for my 21 year old daughter. She wanted the iPod shuffle to take to the gym with her. Great little product. It's compact, easy to carry (the clip on the back makes it great for the gym), and has a great sound. Wonderful color choice. She loved it!

I bought it for running so I like the fact that it has good battery life is light weight and has a clip, I am pleased with my purchase.

We have had three or four Shuffles previously. They've either broken or been lost. They're easy to lose, and seem to break after about a year to 18 months of use. But they're good enough that we keep coming back. Their biggest strength is that they work easily with iTunes where we keep our music library. They work well, however, and are pretty affordable -- though still more expensive than alternatives from other companies. The Shuffle is great for running because it's light and small.

Although there are many MP3 players out there with way more features (made by both Apple and others), this one does the job and is incredible light. Has everything I need. Syncs easily with iTunes on MacBook - this is my first of this generation and I like the ability to switch between playlists. Only limitation I've noticed so far is that one time it couldn't read the playlist names (during my run) and simply said, "Playlist 1, Playlist 2, etc." Otherwise, great device.

I bought the iPod Shuffle for when I'm walking. It allows me to leave my more expensive, easier to break iPod at home. I was having an issue finding a way to carry my iPod considering I usually don't have pockets and my bra just isn't a good idea!! Once I decided on the shuffle life became much easier. I can clip it anywhere .... my waistband, my bra strap, even on my bracelet once ;) The functions are simple enough; volume up and down, play/pause, skip forward and reverse. It also has the ability to tell you the name/artist of the current song you are listening to. The battery life is spectacular compared to other mp3s that I have owned. I like it so much that I have since purchased 2 more for family members. Another plus is that it frees up space on my iPod touch

my ipod shuffle is so easy and small enough to carry around. just down load your music. It's so great for working in yard or taking a walk. It also is great for the car when you get out of radio range.!!

I bought this for my 12 year old daughter who kept asking to take her phone or iPod to places I was afraid she would loose them. The shuffle is inexpensive and because it just holds her music I am not as worried she will loose it or get it stolen. She figured it out quickly.

I bought this as I wanted to have something small and simple to play my musics when I am traveling. This product is just that and does not compromise on sound quality. I only wish that Apple would find some way to make it a Blue Tooth enabled product.
