The only difference between the iPod Touch and an iPhone is the fact that this Touch isn't a phone. But so what. I paid $70 a month for my iPhone but the IPod works on wireless and does everything I need or no monthly fee. It's more like a tiny little iPad that an iPod and that's fine with me. I can use all the apps I want, and even though I can't do it on the road, that too is okay with me. My old iPod Classic played music and audiobooks and not much else. This iPod Touch is so much more!

This is a good product for those who want music in their life with out owing an iphone and can still experience apple product but i will admit you do need to protect it cost a little bit more so maybe best buy can lower their protection plan prices because its a penny less then at walmart and 10 dollars cheaper then apple or target theses store have better protection plan options like 17 for two years instead of 29 for one year but best buy has a better atomosphere and people to help you right away

Purchased the item to have Facetime with the kids living in East Coast. I can't be any happier! Got into customizing the ipod touch. Many compliments!

This is a great music player and holder! Wish I would have gotten the one with more memory though. I have ALOT of music. Battery life is better than my cell phone, so I can listen to songs a lot longer now. Please ignore the charging cord as myself and two daughters all have ipod touches now and my charging cord kept disappearing so I got crafty an crocheted around mine! They are normally just plain white. Lol

I purchased this for my 9 year old grandson and he loves it. We didn't want to buy a phone yet and the Ipod touch is perfect. He can download his games and music, take pictures and talk to grandma via Facetime .

I have had the new 5th generation ipod, in blue, for a few weeks and I love it. The fifth-generation iPod touch is a complete upgrade from the 4th gen and is right on the mark. It's thinner, lighter and even so it contains a larger and superior screen. It's faster and houses an exceedingly better battery life. Apple has incorporated a pair of cameras are outstanding and far better than those found in the previous touch. The new matte aluminum exterior appears as if it will prove rather more durable in the long run. The sound is pretty phenomenal ta boot. It contains everything one could ever desire in a MP3 player and more. I would highly recommend this to anyone u the market for a new mp3. I am exceptionally thrilled with this new ipod.

I purchased this for my 5 year old daughter. It provides her with the ability to download apps for games and shows, as well as have music. She also have the ability for create great pictures and videos. Apple provides a family plan through Itunes that allows me to have control over downloads, purchases and other monitoring tools. I would highly recommend going the Ipod route when trying to decide between an electronic tablet/device for children. This one is small enough to place in the my purse for easy travels.

My grandson has been wanting iPod for a long time, and I purchased for one for his birthday. He is always using it from playing games, music and face timing with his friends. Great gift!

My daughter loves the color. She enjoys playing games and listening to music on it. Easy to use!

I bought the Ipod touch for my daughters birthday. She says it takes excellent pictures. (She's a selfie pro) She uses the Ipod for almost everything. Social Media, emails, pictures, games and even texting. It's an awesome product.

My daughter got this for christmas. It was amazing to talk to her friends that had gone to the beach with the face time app. Pictures were amazing also. A little tricky to get it running on christmas day but we finished the next day and she is all over the place with it. We are happy we got it for her. Real easy to use. Battery has lasted a long time .

I bought this iPod for my 11 year old daughter and she loves it! She can FaceTime with her cousins across the country, play games with her brother and friends, and pick her own music to download.

I haven't replaced my iPod in several years - didn't feel the need. But after 8 years of faithful service, even though it still works great, I decided it was time to upgrade. First of all, the fact that it has many of the same functions as the iPhone is awesome. As long as I have WiFi, I can use apps, play games, even use Facetime. After having it for about a month, I wish I'd gotten the 32gb. 16 is fine for music, but I do so much more with it that I wish I'd gone bigger. It's something to keep in mind if you intend this to be a smaller, more portable answer to a tablet. I'm not a fan of the size or finish. I highly recommend purchasing a case and screen protector at the same time you purchase one of these. It's a little small for my grip (and no, I don't have extra large hands) and a little bit slippery. Other than that, I'm thrilled with the purchase.

This iPod 5th Gen does every thing save for making phone calls, and there's an app for that! My son absolutely loves it! He's already loaded it with music, games and other very useful aps. It's wi-fi capable and allows email & texting. I'll probably buy one for myself now!

We bought this iPod touch for my son's 11th birthday. It's great for him to keep in contact with his friends, take photos, play games, and FaceTime me when he needs to.

Always have loved my iPod touch; they finally came out with the back camera in the 16 Gb version and I was sick of the lame camera resolution in my old one, so it was time. This new one has a great camera. Downside ... Just that they got rid of the auto-brightness. I like the size because it's always in my pocket (as opposed to a larger tablet) wherever I go; I don't need a serious phone account, and this is all the greatness of an iPhone with none of the $600 a year.

Love the features on the iPod 5th generation. Purchased this for my daughter. She loves the games and music. 16Gb is nice size too! Not crazy about the yellow color, but she seems to like it.

I have no complaints on this item. I bought it for a birthday gift for my son and I have to limit his time so he will remember there are other things he can do. He can listen to music, play games, and even call me through instant messenger. I like the fact that I can keep in contact.

My daughter was begging for a phone, so this was a great compromise. She can text her friends & family members, listen to music, play games, and read on it. It was worth the every penny!

Music Performance:- The sound quality is average but definitely enjoyable for casual listeners. I have a Cowon C2 which I have been using with the Apple EarPod and the sound quality is crisp and clear. I'm sure the iPod touch is capable of delivering better audio output but you would have to install another music app with sufficient audio customisation options. I wasn't impressed with any of the music app that I found on App Store but if I find a good one I will update this review. After trying couple of music apps and even after purchasing one I am still not impressed and will stick to my Cowon as my primary music player. This is not to say that the audio quality is bad but for me after experiencing the clarity of Cowon it feels like taking a step back. The one music app I would recommend after trying half a dozen of them is SoundFocus the audio output is good and the interface is very easy to navigate. Interface:- The iOS interface is beautiful and easy to learn being an android fan I do miss the back and menu keys, I feel it is easier to navigate in Android then on iOS. The real drawback is the screen size, the 4 inch is good enough for a portable media player but for iPhone with it's premium price tag I think it's just ridiculous. Most of the apps that I checked (except for the ones created by Apple) had a cluttered interface. Performance:- Web browsing on the safari browser is really smooth, I tested 2 desktop websites which are very heavy, one is PhoneArena and the other is TheVerge, on my LG P765 which is a mid level phone the desktop versions of these websites create serious lag and if mobile versions of these websites is loaded with lots of images like a mobile review article then it often leads to page/browser crash. iPod Touch however handled these pages easily, no lag, no crashing the only spoiler for me is the 4 inch display but performance is great and I think you can expect similar reliable performance in gaming as well as when watching videos. iBooks:- Apple doesn't sell any books in India. Although there are a number of free books in the iBooks store by popular authors but they are very old books. Fortunately you can install Google Play Books and if you have purchased books on android then you can use the same account to download the books on iPod. Conclusion:- As a music player I can't recommend this, especially taking the price in to consideration. I bought this for web development testing so I don't really care about using this for anything else. I would recommend people to buy a dedicated music player from Cowon,Creative, Sony, etc and invest some more money and buy iPad Mini. Writing this review from iPad Mini 2 and trust me you'll get your moneys worth with the iPad.
