The IPod Touch 6th Generation is a full-service music player, but also much more. In effect, it is an IPhone 6 that doesn't make phone calls. But it has all of the other functions of an IPhone. So you get a music player, but also full Internet service and all of the other apps that work with an IPhone or IPad at a fraction of the price. Everything works smoothly and I am delighted with the purchase. The IPod may not make sense for those who already have an IPhone. But it is very useful device for those who do not, and easier to carry than an IPad mini.

This is a great compromise for 6 and 9 year old who girls wanted a phone when we weren't ready to get them each one! They can text, face time, listen to music, and play games or use apps, and everything has a parental controls! Highly recommended!

I wanted something I could leave in my gem bag. I use it a lot more though because you can text from it if you have an I phone. All my apps pulled over and music. Now I don't have to have all my music on my phone taking up space.

Wish I would've bought the one with more memory in it, but bought the one recommended by the rep helping me. Turns out, it won't have enough memory for all my music. Easy to use, great sound quality, has some great apps and good video/picture resolution.

I bought this for my elementary-school aged daughter with a lot of hesitation, but am pleased. The parental controls allow me to control just about every aspect: with a simple 4-digit passcode I'm able to decide what apps appear, what privileges she has within those apps, and how much contact with the internet and outside users she's able to obtain. It's also very easy to modify those settings - again, with the passcode I can sign in to remove settings and allow myself to download other apps and check on usage, then put setting right back where they were before. Holds tons and tons of music. Excellent video and sound - my daughter uses it to video chat with relatives. Definitely get a super-tough case to keep the iPod from scratching or cracking.

I have never had an iPOD before and this one is amazing!! It does everything we wanted to do and so much more. I really did my research on this before I bought (As I do with almost everything) and almost everyday I find something new that I did not know it would do for FREE. Highly recommend ♥

Resolution, storage, camera, size, etc. Is all what I wanted so I love it. You may want to note that if you use it for more than music and photos you may want to aim for a larger size.

Love my new iPod Touch. The hot pink color really stands out as I carry this compact device in my pocketbook. Great alternative to my larger iPad without losing all the same features.

One of daughter likes Pink and other one likes blue. Ipod comes in both so they both had their best birthday gift. They take Ipod to school for school. They play games on it and listen to their favorite music. Vidoes, browsing all in small handheld device which falls in price range for almost everyone.

Love the iPod Touch, great for kids who want access to the Internet, games,music, social media without the cell phone bill. I can FaceTime with them send emails and texts. Love it.

This is my first iPod purchase. I'm not the normal iPod consumer. I'm using this for testing of websites so I don't use all the features that normal iPod users might use. For what I use it for, it is great. I'm an Android smartphone user so this is much smaller than I'm used to, but after a few uses, I get used to the tiny keyboard. I've also used the camera and have also used it to check email on as well so all those features work as expected. I'm not a heavy user so I can't comment on battery life as accurately as others who use it more frequently, but I don't find myself having to charge all the time for what I do on it.

Forget what you know about the old generation iPod touch! This one is great. Fast, includes the Apple Music App which is why I bought it, and the price is right. The camera is AWESOME! You have to see it to believe it. Note: The Best Buy associate was not aware that the 6th generation was available - You will have to insist to get it, I had to "make" her look it up.

Loves the iPod for games, listening to music, keeping to update with the news, emails and Facebook. Also loves the camera. Made a techie out of the gifted person!

Honestly, there isn't a whole lot of difference between this Ipod and IPhones (and I have an IPhone 6s). The main difference, other than the fact that the Ipod uses WiFi and not monthly data, is the size of the Ipod. If the Ipod was a little bigger, I think that would be an improvement. But other than that, my son can link his Ipod to my IPhone and make phone calls; and not just to apple users, any number. This Ipod is truly a good investment for someone who wants an apple device, like a kid who may be just a little to young for an IPhone, or an adult who has an android or different phone, but still wants the apple experience of an IPhone. By the way, the new improvements to the camera were great! And it has an A8 chip, so big improvement from the Ipod 5th gen.

My daughter's old iPod finally bit the dust, unable to revive. Replaced it with the latest generation and WOW, can't say enough. Minus the ability to make cellular calls, this iPod does all that an iPhone can do... as long as you are in the range of WiFi. Using Google or other services allows you to make phone calls even. The iMessage app provides almost all you need for texting and if that isn't enough, other messaging services through Facebook or others can do the trick. Camera is highly functional and with a decent case, this thing is built to last.

I bought this to use at work for the iOs apps. It is perfect because it is light and small and I barely notice carrying it around in my pocket. It is cheaper than my phone, so I am not worried about losing or breaking it, as much as I am with my phone, which is why I purchased it. Great buy!

My 7yr likes to FaceTime , download his favorite games & kid friendly music! He loves it and now I get to have my phone back lol

Great product for my daughter who does not have a smart phone. she is able to download apps, play games, Facetime with friends and use the camera. Would give 5 stars if the product came with a wall charger for the USB cord. You have to purchase a wall charger separately.

This product was for my 12 year old son. He absolutely loves it! He listens to all his favorite songs, watches shows, and even texts from it. Just one word of caution- keep a case on it. He had an iPod before and within the first month the screen was cracked. So for Christmas he got a new iPod and a case.
