Lightning to Headphone jack for my amp

I bought this to use my wired earbuds with my iPhone. It works perfectly. I started using this to run music from my iPhone through a practice bass amp, and it also works flawlessly for that. It feels thin, but it has held up to regular use.

Must Have for Audiophile and Casual listening

Firstly, I don't do wireless when I'm listening to music. For the phone application, a wireless earpiece is a must. Music is a totally different beast altogether. Apple uses Cirrus Logic DAC's, some of the best in the industry, proven by better ears than mine, but with the removal of the 3.5 mm headphone jack, this least expensive Apple accessory offered is an obvious must-have for the Audio Connoisseur. To access the audio stream as cleanly as possible wired is the preferred method and this little baby does just that best at this price point. You can spend more money and gain some more detailed imaging, but there comes a point called, diminishing returns. More money spent, not much more audio actually gained. Most of my audio files are not DSD, but FLAC, MP3 etc... So for $10.00, Deal, count me in. Until wireless can match wired, not likely, it's the dongle life for me. I have NO problem with that. As long as Apple keeps using High-Quality DAC's, I'll keep buying iPhones that play Hi-Res, DSD, Flac, Hi Freq on Tune-In etc...

As you would expect from Apple, this product works great and is durable. My 5 year old daughter dropped her iPad with her headphones plugged in and broke the internal port. I bought this to keep her iPad going a little bit longer. Works perfectly.

Useful for old ear buds or audio in to car

Super handy for connecting old ear buds to phones with lightning ports. I also use it to connect phone to car so I can listen to music via audio in port through a cable. If you have an old car without Bluetooth it’s necessary if you don’t want to listen to music on your phone. It won’t charge your phone tho. But it’s a simple plug in so if you have a lot of charge and just want to listen to music on your way home from work it’s what you need.

The lightning to 3.5 adapter is truly revolutionary in design and function. There has never been a better adapter created in all the world. Not only allowing to plug one end into the most modern iPhones available, but allowing you to keep using your old wired headphones you’ve loved for years. This adapter will serve you long and become like a trusted friend. It’s the most amazing adapter ever created. Even if you don’t have an iPhone, you should buy this adapter for the unboxing experience. It’s truly an experience you can get nowhere else. Be the envy of all your friends and family.

I know some people would call me an Apple fan, but their products just work. I brought a third-party adapter like this and it did not allow me to except incoming calls. The Apple adapter is very short lightweight and thin but it just works I can listen to music and except incoming calls on any of my 3.5 MM Jack headphones. The third-party adapter that I brought came in the color I wanted gold was much longer and thicker than the Apple adapter but did not allow me to except incoming calls which was annoying. I am very happy Apple decided not to charge people $30 or $40 for such a small adapter. This will be my second adapter but I will make sure not to lose it I will simply leave it at the end of one of my 3.5 MM headphones.

Apple’s “executive decision” forced me to embrace Bluetooth or switch to Android, and I opted to remove the wires from my world. Which of course added more wires, because everything needs a charging cable and now I need an additional wire for those times my Bluetooth headphones run out of battery and I still want to pleasure my ears. This dainty dongle does the deed. While it feels fragile, I have had one for over a year now with no signs of wear. They are amazingly easy to keep track of, so I can only assume the elves that steal your socks use android, or you would be left with a drawer full of right socks and useless headphones. Four stars, because you really have to buy multiple unless you get a custom built wallet with a headphone adapter slot.

You might think that all Lightning-to-3.5mm Headphone adapters are the same....right? Well, let me tell you, they are not. This Apple - Lightning - to - 3.5mm Headphone Adapter is a cut above the rest. With a 3.5mm audio plug on one end and a lightning connector on the other, it allows you to listen to your favorite music, podcast, or audio book on one of many compatible devices including iPod touch, iPad, and iPhone (so long as they support iOS10 or later.
I don't know where I would be in life without this handy adapter!!!

I appreciate apple still having a way to connect 3.5mm head phones to the newer iphones. I don’t personally use it for that feature though. I purchased this adapter to use for my rode microphone rhat has a 3.5mm jack. I am able to record videos without as much background noise. I’d say its a pretty good investment for vlogging.

Remember when you didn't need an adapter to plug in something with a 3.5mm jack? I miss those days. This adapter will help you relive that past by making it possible to plug something with a 3.5mm jack into your phone or other iDevice that only has a lightning port. You plug it in. It works. You've paid ~$10 for this privilege, which is ~$2 more than a more or less similar plug available on Amazon, but which isn't mfi certified which means it may or may not work as hoped. This one will work. Enjoy.

When I upgraded to the new iPhone model, which has left behind the traditional 3.5 mm earphone jack to free up space inside, I was glad to see that Apple had the courtesy to include a lighting-3.5 mm adaptor as part of the accessories for those of us who prefer earbuds with a little more oomph than the included earPods (which now will connect directly via the lightning port) can provide.
There was one little convenience issue, in that my car's stereo system pre-dates blue-tooth connectivity or USB cables being a standard feature, so I had to rely on a 3.5 mm stereo cable to connect my phone to the car's audio. This could still be accomplished using the adaptor, but it was kind of a pain to be frequently unhooking it from my earbuds and plugging it into the cable in my car, or vice versa. And, of course, in the first couple of weeks following the iPhone 7's release, no one--including the local Apple store--was stocking spare adaptors.
So when I saw that Best Buy starting carrying them, I immediately went to pick one up. It also helped that they're about a dollar cheaper there, compared to buying directly from Apple. Since I'm looking at possibly getting a newer vehicle, with bluetooth and/or USB connectivity, I most likely won't need to have 2 of these adaptors, but it's always nice to have a spare.

This adapter works perfectly for connecting my phone to my car’s AUX input. The sound quality is clear with no noticeable distortion or interference. It’s compact, durable, and fits securely. A bit pricey for a simple adapter, but it delivers reliable performance. Great solution for lightning devices! Really miss the aux port tho

The Lightning to 3.5mm headphone adapter is just what I need from Apple when Bluetooth listening is not an option. The adapter is compact, so it does not make carrying the iPhone uncomfortable while in use and it stores easy when not in use. The sound of the headphones is just as good combined with the headphone adapter. An easy to use necessity for iPhone users that reliably delivers corded audio. Another great quality product from Apple and great value when you in a pinch with Bluetooth headphones that do not have power.

I purchased this adapter mostly for testing. Lots of iPhones in my family that are not 7 or 8 series.
I can verify it is compatible all the way back to iPhone 5C.
I was a bit learly of some sound quality loss, BUT while connected to my iPhone 6 and 6S (iOS 11) on both my EarPods and Beats Sudio, everything sounds crisp, clean and terrific. Full compatibility with in-line clicker controls too!
It is capable of the full sonic spectrum from pounding bass, all the way up to screeching highs, if you want those extremes.
It just sounds great. Totally a fair price. Love it.

If you still need to use a standard audio cord or classic wired headphones with a recent iDevice (except iPad Pro) this will do the trick. It doesn’t allow you to charge at the same time (unless you do wireless charging), so for long car trips look for a different adapter that can charge too.
The price is standard though I wish it was even cheaper.
But a few (and keep one attached to each pair oh headphones) because they tend to get lost when you have to unplug them to charge all the time.
