This is an inexpensive way to keep your old 30-pin dock players. The Pro's are -- It maintains good quality of sound, charges my iPhone 6, and saves me money and time from having to buy another dock station. The only Con's are -- it takes a little longer to charge my iPhone, it needs to have a support rest while it's connected (little wobbly), and you need to remove your case because the pin is a little short.

I purchased this adapter for my BOSE dock that I’ve had since 2004. Works great with the 30 pin piece on the dock. Music sounds just as good!!

Application fit like a glove. My car came with a link cord for an iPhone four or older. This 30 pin converter was easy to install and served it's purpose perfectly

I purchased this adapter to avoid purchasing speakers, radio and charging station. It works great. I connected it to my old iHome and it does everything I need. This $30 adapter has saved me $100 or $200.

Yes, this is a good adapter. I bought it to adapt over my 30-pin attachment on my Bose and Sony speakers, so I can play music and charge my iPhone 6s. A new Bose speaker is over $300.00, and this adapter cost $29.99 so I thought it was worth it until I felt like buying new speakers that actually have the Lightning ports. Anyway, the problem is this: do you have any type of case/shell on your phone or other device? If you do, like most of us to protect our expensive phones, then the device will be in the way of a secure fit from phone/device to adapter and therefore, it will not work. You then must take off your case/shell EVERY single time you place it on the adapter stand to play or charge. This can be very tedious work, indeed. Some might say it's not worth it. But what are the options? My recommendation to manufacturers such as Apple is to make the Lightning ports slightly longer, just as they do with the chargers they so generously provide with the phone upon purchase. Compare the two lightning cables. Yes, the phone is longer to charge while you have a case on it. This adapter is shorter and will not work if you have a case on. Big bummer. Does it still work though, after you have removed the case or shell? Yes. If you haven't torn or cut the case in disgust, or given up on technology completely and returned to carrier pidgeon for communication. I don't know, these companies only need to make the Lightning attachment a bit longer and all would be better in the world, for this, at least. By the way, I did cut the bottom of my designer case for my iPhone 6s so it will fit on the adapter for a proper fit.

Great product. Works perfectly with our iPod Touch and Bose SoundDock. Bose remote works with all functions. Had to rig the iPod and it's case w/ a small piece of cloth so that it did not tip back into the Bose unit when resting on the adapter.... worked fine and you can't see the cloth at all. Sound works well, and it feels nice and secure when it snaps on. *** Caution - pay attention to the type of case you have for your phone or iPod touch if you plan on using this regularly. The wide base will probably not fit well with several cases. In that instance, I would give the corded version a shot.

After waiting over 12 months for Hyundia to come out with an adapter for my Sonata Turbo so I could use my iPhone 5 and iPad Air, I went to best buy hoping to find something that would work. I was so happy I found this adapter, I sat in the parking lot opened the package and promptly plugged it in. At first it appeared that my car system was not going to recognize it. After several minutes of disappointment my system recognized it and my music was playing! Several people commented that it would not work with their Hyundai system, just have a little patience as it will recognize it! I love the sales people at Best Buy, they knew exactly what I needed. In and out of the store in a short time. On a side note, Hyundai doesn't seem to care about keeping up with technology and promptly coming out with adapters to work with their car systems. Thanks to Best Buy I can listen to my downloaded music on my iPhone and iPad Air.

In need of an adapter to connect my phone to the outdated 30 pin MMI cord in my car, I turned to this 30 pin to lightning adapter. The connection is simple and the adapter functions as advertised, but to make this connection more practical, a cord is needed. The part of the adapter that plugs into an iPhone is fragile and I can see it easily snapping right off. Without a cord the risk of this happening is very, very high... Especially if the adapter was purchased to sit on a 30 pin connector and have a device (such as an iphone) sit on top of it without anything for it to lean on. Without a cord, I don't see this fragile adapter lasting very long before it breaks.

I purchased this to use it for my old iPod connector that's attached to my BMW. Tested on other devices and adapter works fine but in my case I had to replace the entire connector to be able to control the iPod in my car (probably BMW thing). Since Best Buy has great return policy, I was able to return as I found out it didn't work for my use but think this adapter should be able to connect your older devices to the Lightning. Good luck!

PRO Excellent, high quality adapter for making old peripheral equipment usable by newer Apple iPhones, iPads, etc. I recently upgraded to a new iPhone 6 and quickly discovered that my old Klipsch speaker/charging station (30-pin) was no longer compatible. This Lightening adapter quickly fixed the problem with no signal loss or noise gain. CON My only real complaint. The adapter is 'taller' than it needs to be, needlessly elevating my new iPhone in the Klipsch cradle. It's esthetically unpleasing and nerdy looking now.

I have 3 cars with iPod ready head units, but since my wife wants to keep her iPhone 4s for a while longer, they need to be able accept either 30 pin or Lightning equipped devices as I have an iPhone 6, and a latest generation Nano. This adapter solves this problem perfectly. I read the reviews of the non-Apple adapters which sell for much less, and decided that I didn't want to bother with something unreliable. I'm happy with their performance and functionality. The only issue that I've found is that the Lightning connector is a bit short if you have a case on your device, and may have to remove the case in order to get a proper connection.

This adapter works well as intended. I have had few issues using this in conjunction with my old Iphone/Ipod cables. The main issue is that, due to its width the connection is not made if the phone case gets in the way as the plug has to be inserted completely into the port. The other issue is that $30 is quite a bit to spend on a small 1" square piece of plastic and metal. Would not recommend due to price.

If you have previously used Apple 30 pin accessories then this is a must have when you want to use your newer devices with them. The adapter is simply plug and play in most cases and the only downside is the cost. However I have had an instance or two where the newer Apple device failed to recognize the adapter but this was usually remedied by disconnecting and reconnecting again. The small lightning end can be bent if one does not pay special attention to inserting it into a lightning port on an iPad or iPhone.

If you only need a lightning cord for purposes of charging your newer Iphone model, that is probably the cheaper way to go making this item not as practical. However if you have older apple legacy items which connected to 30-pin (take ihome alarm clocks where you can dock your phone to play music as an example) then this item becomes cost effective rather quickly. I even bought an open box version which was $5 cheaper, and quite honestly the box and item itself had no noticeable wear and tear.
