I bought this because my old Bose speaker only allows for older 30-pin Apple connections. I got it cheaper than retail by utilizing price match from what Amazon was advertising, so I am happy with the purchase. The only downfall is that you cannot have a protective case on your iPhone / iPod when using this attachment. The Lightning connector is not long enough to reach through a case. I would recommend trying to find a 30 pin to lightning cord instead.

The adapter works as expected. My only complaint is the size of the lightning connector side is so big it's hard to keep it held into my newer iPhone.

You can buy a cheaper adaptor, but you are rolling the dice, since there is no guarantee that it will work with your Apple Product. The one that is factory authorized is the only sure bet.

How much more simple can you get? I was worried it would be a loose fit (wobbly) on my docking station. No problem. Solved the issue of "one more cord". A little pricey, but worth it.

I purchased this adapter to connect to my Alpine iDA-X305S. First thing....it does work but it DOES NOT WORK with the Otterbox cover on my Iphone 5. Since the Otterbox is one of the most popular covers I would assume this will be a problem for many others. If you take it out of the case, the adapter works fine. Just wanted to let others know that. Had I known, I would have purchased the Apple® - Lightning to 30-Pin Adapter Cable (Item #6651881).

This is a valuable adaptor to have. Frequently used if you have an Apple collection. Also good to have in case an opportunity arises. Get it while they make it
