The product does exactly what it is supposed to do. Unfortunately, like most of Apple's great products and their accessories, it is extremely overpriced for what it is. Oh well, I have drank the Kool-Aid and all my electronics are in the Apple ecosystem, so I have to have this converter to make my new iPhone work with their old cords.

This adapter works exactly the way it's supposed to. One star had to be deducted though for the fact that almost any type of case on your device (iPod Touch for me) prevents the adapter from sitting firmly in the port. Also, like most Apple licensed products, it's kind of expensive.

We bought this adapter so our new I-phone would fit on our clock radios. We have protection cases on our phones and the adapters do not fit into the phone because of the case. The Lightning connector needs to be a little longer. If you don't have a case on your phone it works great.

My Sony camera uses a SDHC memory card. I use the camera for higher quality pictures than my IPad or IPhone devices can provide. The since I really like Apple devices, I am easily able to transfer data from the memory card to my Apple devices using this Lightning 30 pin adapter.

I recently purchased a iPod touch and unfortunately the adapter in my car was for older versions of the iPod. I purchased this adapter and now I can listen to my new iPod in my car with no problems. Sounds great. Works great. Glad I purchased this.

I have an awesome Bose wireless speaker that I love but when I got the new generation iPhone 5 (and 6) they no longer fit on the speaker. So this little guy is perfect to be able to still use your old iPhone connection with the new iPhones. Works great.

Awesome. I always need the adapter for the iPod plug in my Scion TC, and the original one I had the cord broke and the coating on the plug came off. This one is great. Just a simple adapter that you can put on the end of the included with the car iPod adapter cord and boom no more broken expensive apple made plugs.

Bought it so that I can use some of my old cables, car charger, power cord, et al. And the adapter makes that happen, but if you have an Otter Box Defender series, it's not going to work. The case is too thick to make a connection. But, in the case of my tablet, works great.

I purchased this adapter so that my new IPhone would charge as well as function as it should on my IHome alarm clock. This Apple adapter works great! I am so happy that I didn't have to purchase another IHome alarm clock to work with my new phone.

This adapter is good - it connects my old iPhone docks to my iPhone 6. However, it is not the best option if you use a case on your device - the case will prevent you from plugging in the lightening side of the adapter. I'd recommend the adapter with a cord for that.

I purchased an off brand cheaper adapter that didn't work consistently and broke after little use. This adapter is pricier as most Apple products are but it was worth the money. Works perfect every time. And I got it in sale at Best Buy so it was a little cheaper than full price. Great value. Glad I returned to Apple.

I bought this to fit the end of a Monster FM transmitter (yes, my 2004 Acura TL still has a tape deck and no aux input). Anyway, it did the job, however, the volume seems to be pretty low. I've tried multiple radio stations but the volume does not seem to improve.

My lightning 30 pin adapter works excellent with my new IPod. I was so happy that I didn't have to purchase a new IHome all I needed was the Lightning 30 pin adapter to play new IPod Touch 32gb 5th generation. I was excited when the sales clerk recommended this item so that I would not have to purchase a new ihome.

I purchased the iPod 5 for my daughter about a year or so ago. It is amazing to me to see how apple continues to make their products propriatary and require additional items. She loves the product because it is required, but that's why I am not rating it 5 stars!

Another quality product from Apple. I had a third party adapter that was 1/5 the price but it quit working in a week. So far this one from Apple has not had any problems. Allows me to keep some older accessories for just a bit longer. Works great on my Sony Speaker dock. The iphone sits higher but works just fine.

Bought this adaptor specifically because it's Apple certified and includes the digital to analog converter. I have it plugged into my DICE car stereo adaptor which still has a 30-pin plug and it lets me use my iPhone 6 with the factory stereo in my 2004 Acura TSX.

I got this adaptor for use with older instrument cables to record into Garageband. It works as intended. However, the only downside I hadn't considered when making the purchase was that it doesn't fit into the iPad when my case is on it. That was a bummer.

The 30-pin adapter is a small and convenient tool enabling the user to re-use older Apple cables and avoid the expense of getting new lightning cables. We also use ours in both the 30-pin connecter in the car's sound system and the 30-pin connector on our Sony stereo iPhone/iPod/Clock/Radio. It's a great idea!

You definitely need this if you are transitioning from the old chargers to the new "lightning" devices. That way you don't have to waste your old cord. Only complaint I would have is that sometimes you have to jiggle your phone around before it charges.

my work won't update their music players to something modern, so I had to buy one of these to hook it up to my 6 Plus. They're small and easy to lose and pricy, but they work. And beware, bc a lot of 3rd party adapters only allow you to charge, but don't work to play music or other things on stations.
