Take the card out of my camera, slide it in the Lightening, plug the Lightening into the I pad port and pictures show up. Click import and pictures are there. What a gem of an invention! .

Works well for Transfering pictures.

No software needed, just plug the SD card in, plug the adapter into the ipad and the pictures can be imported.
