bought this item for my daughter who was traveling internationally. She needed an option to post pics taken with her SLR camera during her trip without having to lug her laptop in order to extract the photos. The item was easy to install and setup. Nice benefit is that device is small enough she could carry it with her while out and about, take super quality photos with the camera, extract using her this device and her phone and upload. It also gave her the ability to have a backup in case something happened to her camera and media card.

This little adapter saved me a lot of $$$!!! simply pull the SD card out of the camera. place in the adapter, and plug the adapter in the phone. my phone pulled up the photos within a few seconds. select and copy the photos you want and import. the only slow part is if you have iCloud photos turned on it can take a bit for the photos to transfer up to the cloud. if you have that off, its quick. I used a few in phone apps and boom! fully edited photos from my Nikon Full Frame camera straight to the phone, and then post to wherever i want. Totally perfect for my needs right now. Didn't have to buy a new computer to get heavy into cost. But if your going to be doing professional work, get a good editing machine. this adapter is great for quick sharing. No problems with full file size transfers in Jpeg and RAW 14bit.

This works great with my iPhone X! Plug it in to lighting port, insert SD card and almost instantly all my images appear on screen. You have options to select and import all pics to your phones photo library or select pics you want an import those selections only. Once done, you have the option to delete those pics from SD card or keep on card. Highly recommend.

The ones I have bought are made for the Apple iPhone. I use it to catch pictures on my game
Cameras. Plug it in, go to your photo album on the propane and plug in your memory card. At the bottom an import notice will appear and you can then select all you want to import then delete the pictures from the card and return it to your game camera.
There is no software to down load and no fees for using it. I’ve had 5 or 6 of these. Lost a couple and just wore out a few but these are really mice

Easy to use unlike the cheap ones on Amazon. Better quality too. Makes sense to get the actual apple brand because the lightning cable is proprietary. Took seconds to take pics from the ss card and upload them to my iPad.

Exactly what I needed. I seen lots of reviews that say it didn’t work. I tried it right in the parking at my local Best Buy just to make sure I wasn’t going to have any issues. Unfortunately I did. Here is my experience. Hopefully this will help some of you. I plugged my micro SD card with an adapter into the dongle slot. Then plugged it into the iPhone XS Max. Hit my photos app hit the import icon and nothing. Like a lot of people say it doesn’t seem to read the card as if no card was there. So I thought I had wasted my time and money. After playing around with it for a bit still in the parking lot I figured it out. Went to the files app on the phone and then you will see different options of where to look for files. One option that showed up was the dongle I just plugged in. If at first it doesn’t show, try unplugging it and plugging it back in. Also make sure the card is inserted all the way properly. Once you see it then click on it. Then you should see any folders you have on the card. It worked with a micro SD card adapter and was able to see photos and videos from a dash cam. One thing I discover is that for some files it was telling me I could not import because I don’t have permission to access the files. At first I thought it was defective. But by trial and error I figured out that the issue was with the files themselves. I was able to import some but not others. Why? Well, if the files have some kind of protection or locked the file will not be allowed. Make sure the file itself is not locked or protected in any way and you should be able to import it then do whatever you want with it using this device. Hope this helps.

So I bought this SD card reader because I wanted to be able to transfer video files from my dashcam to my iPhone 11 on the go (just in case of an emergency or something). I needed something compatible with Apple since let's face it, most outside accessories don't work well with Apple, since you know... it's Apple!
Anyway, having received this, I immediately took it out of the box, excited to use it when I plugged it into my phone and connected to my SD card adapter and nothing happened.
Tried my iPad and still nothing.
Looked up to check if this device is able to use SD card adapters and yes, it does.
[For context, I use a SanDisk Ultra 128GB microSDXC for my dashcam. Purchasing a microSDXC card, a MicroSDXC to SD adapter is included. ]
Plugging the microSD into the adapter, then plugging that adapter into the SD Card Reader, then connecting that to my iPhone, I was expecting either the Photos App or something to pop up to tell me what to do next. Didn't happen.
So I opened my Photos App to see if I could import anything.
Nothing to import.
Tried my iPad, same thing.
So here I am thinking that it doesn't work. I got a dud.
Then it finally occurred to me that I haven't checked my Files App.
And lo and behold, there it was. A folder called "NO NAME" Opening it, I found three separate folders, and all my videos were in there.
Transferred one video from my SD card to my iPhone as a test. Successful.
Photos from my SD card to my iPhone. Successful.
(And vise versa?)
Imported Photos from my iPhone to the SD card via the Photos App. Successful.
It works. Best purchase I've made.

I am not one for reading directions and am grateful that this product was easy enough to use that no directions were needed by me! It was awesome to be able to transfer pictures from my digital camera via the SD card to my Iphone to easily and conveniently be able to transfer pictures to be able to send them via text or email to people. I get the quality of a digital camera and ease of sending them without using a computer. It's just what I wanted since I have a preference for camera picture quality vs cell phone picture quality.

The Apple SD card adapter is well built. The lighting plug fits well and securely in the iPad’s port. The SD card also fits securely so it will not come off during use. The best thing about this adapter is how well it works with the recent iPad OS update. With the ability to browse and transfer files with simple drag gestures, it’s like the iPad all of a sudden has additional functionality.
This is a must-buy for anyone that is in need of space and/or edits photos and videos on the fly. Definitely recommended!

This is all you need for the iPhone, or any other Apple device with a lightening connection. Works every time. From your iPhone, the photos can then go out through iCloud to every Apple device you have for editing and displaying your way. This method also avoids having to deal with and later delete low res versions your phone may transfer via bluetooth (e.g., Nikon SnapBridge), or wi-fi. Unnecessary now. Avoids confusing the sort order in Apple Photos, too by not using those low res versions along with full res transfers.

Works perfectly for transferring my pictures from my fujifilm xt1 (jpegs) to my phone. I have not tried transferring raw files to my phone or lightroom mobile. Folder shows up in files on my iPhone. No problems using the adapter. There is no eject for the card. I have had no problems with corruption by removing the adapter.

Don't like that I have to carry that thing around but for quick sharing to other people it comes in handy. Or if you just want to see the photo and upload some at your social media account which ever that is, it's great for that to.
Soon I'm getting a new camera with wifi so I'm not gonna need it soon. But it sure has made life a little easier. I don't have to bring my laptop or wait to get home to upload them. And I have one memory card so if It full up I transfer it to my iPhone or iPad and I have space in the card again
