I use the reader to read trail camera SD cards in the field with my iPhone. You can only see thumbnails of the images on the card and must download an image to see it as a full screen image. The downloaded images are also enlarged on large file size images such that the edges are not visible. When you email the image it is visible though. I do find the item very useful.

Allows you to put your memory chip into the camera reader to transfer your pictures to your ipad to make changes in your pictures regarding color, brightness, tone, and cropping.

This little device is perfect for my photography needs. I can pull all my camera RAW files along with video straight to my iPad Pro anywhere I am. The cost was about right and its super simple to use, just plug & pull files. Pulling files, this is the only reason I gave it a 4 & not 5 stars. It could be because my images are RAW and not JPGs which are a huge difference in size. Waiting for the previews to load takes a bit of time. Transferring isnt too bad. A bit on the slower side but nothing to really complain about. Overall this was a great purchase & would def replace if I ever lost it.

I bought this SD card reader to transfer photos from my camera and so far it hasn't disappoint me. It's fast and works well on my iPad Pro. It's pricey but faster than other products I have. I don't know if this will download music, video, etc. At this time I haven't tried it except photos and have no issue wiht that particular. If you travel and have to upload photos on your iPad for editing, then you need this. There you have it, at last a media player that works in uploading photos.

Apple’s products all work super well with each other. I wasn’t expecting to be able to seamlessly import my photos and videos but I had no problem doing that. It is apple though so don’t expect to be saving money by purchasing this

I bought this while on vacation to download pictures from my camera to my IPAD. This adapter allows you to read data from a SDHC to an Apple device like an IPhone or IPAD. Works great. All Apple adapters are expensive but that’s life.

Before you purchase, double-check that it is compatible with your device. I bought it to use with my iPhone 11 Pro Max (iOS 17) only to find out Apple no longer supports the card reader. Fortunately, it works with an extra iPhone 7 Plus that I use as a music player.

I'm an anti-dongle person but i purchased this so I'd have an easy way to import photos/videos to my iPhone X. It works! This is the only dongle I own. If you need to do the same, I'd recommend it.

Typical Apple product. Works reliably but is overpriced. Slow transfer speeds due to an old USB standard.

You get what you pay for in this case. The reader is pricey, but it works and transfers photos very fast. Used with sd card from Canon 6d, and able to import RAW images without any issues.

This device has been helpful for some of my photography, but it has no ability to download high quality video and has selective ability to transfer RAW type images. If you’re willing to possibly sacrifice image quality or don’t shoot in RAW this’ll be great for you.

I was looking for a faster way to transfer 4K video and high resolution photos from my gopro and sdlr camera to my phone. This reader easily does the trick and works seamlessly with iOS 13 on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. The downside is the price. There are much cheaper options available so you pay a premium when using Apple products.

Used to review footage from trail cam and security cam on an iPhone 10S. There is no auto anything, some said look in your photos folder and it will prompt you (rumor is that an IOS update ruined this so it may have worked that way in the past). This did not work for me. I found them in the FILES icon then->back arrow to Browse, then the items listed under Locations. I was able to open two different manufactures videos on micro SD and they played fine.
