Works well. Cannot be used with lifeproof iPad Air case. The head is fatter than the regular charge port. When you look at the port hole for the iPad it's at a lower angle, the connector will not fit. You chip off the piece of extra thick layer plastic on the connector to make it fit. Can be used with Lifeproof iPhone 5s case.

I initially bought this adapter to make my iPad compatible with the projector in my college classroom for presentations. The projector has failed, but my adapter has not. It has paired with multiple types of cords and proved to be an indispensable accessory in a variety of settings. Highly recommended!

I needed this adapter because many projectors in my work are VGA only. It is a very expensive adapter for what it offers, but yet again, its reliable.

This review is pretty much cut & past of my other review regarding the lightning to HDMI connector. That's because it's basically the same product, just with a VGA rather than HDMI connector. In my role doing sales, I often have to demonstrate a mobile app using an iPhone or iPad. This little connector allows me to connect my Apple devices to any VGA device (HDTV, Projector, etc.) easily. Some large screen TVs require more power than the iPhone/iPad can generate to drive the big screen, so this connector allows you to plug your power cord in too - which also recharges your device while you're using it. The only complaint I have is that the plastic around the lightning connector is much larger than on Apple charging cables and will not fit if you have a Lifeproof case. Otherwise, it works great!

If you want to connect your Apple device with a lightning connection to a Projector or TV with an HDMI cable this adapter works. Watch moves that are on your device on a bigger screen. Awesome!

Needed to throw a presentation up from an iPad to an older projector. This did the trick. Even with the projectors lower resolution, everything looked pretty clear. Keep in mind this cable will not transmit audio. You'll need to use the headphone jack with external speakers if you need more volume than your device provides.

I recently bought this for a presentation I had for school which I had created on my iPad mini. I had absolutely no issues. You can also plug your charger into the adapter to charge your iPad or iPhone while presenting. Despite the price (which is to be expected being an apple product) it is a fantastic product.

This lightning to VGA adaptor works great for projecting notes, videos, .ppt, Pages Docs, etc. I use it to teach college English classes several time a week with an iPad and iPhone. Additionally, the iPad, or phone, can be charged while you use the adaptor. Truly plug-and-play accessory...

I had to do a presentation using an older projector that only had VGA input capability. This adapter worked great. I would like to see the price reduced since VGA is older technology but I was willing to pay the Apple price to guarantee to would work and I wouldn't disappoint my audience.

Does exactly what I need. Use it when I am teaching class and need my iPad to display pages of a book. It also lets me charge the iPad so I can keep working with the display for extended periods. If I am displaying a video simply attach the audio to the headphone jack and it works well.

I needed to connect my iPad to a projector to teach class. This product works great. The extra lightning port allows you to plug into an outlet and charge your device while you're using it! After 40 minutes of continuous use, my iPad was 100% charged. And I had no problems.

I use my iPad for filing and viewing many .pdfs, excel, word, PowerPoint,etc. files. I use this adapter to plug in my iPad and it shows on the video conference screen perfectly. Whatever I see on my iPad, it shows. I can even pinch and zoom,etc. really an awesome tool.

This product works exactly as described, and thankfully has a built-in Lightning connector so that I can maintain a full charge while giving a talk. Super easy to connect and use, and I would recommend this to anyone responsible for presenting on a regular basis.

I love this little connector! I use it in my classroom. The cable is just long enough to be able to move the iPad without being so long that it gets tangled. The bonus charging jack is really helpful on days that I use my iPad over multiple periods.

I needed to use this to review tutorials on YouTube while at work. I couldn't view YouTube due to firewalls but I used this adapter, my phone and plugged into my second monitor and was able to view the tutorials. This was an absolute great buy!!!

If you need to use your apple product to a VGA device (such as an overhead projector for a presentation) then this is what you will need. Not for everyone, but essential for such tasks.

Needed to present from ipad air 2 through an older pc system at a local facility where there were not many other options--this was the perfect solition to plug into their wited projector (along with their headphone plug for sound).

I bought this lightning to VGA adapter for presentation use for work. I have both the VGA and the hdmi versions for my iPad. It is simple to use and the iPad automatically detects it. It also allows you to. Harte while sending a video signal.

Needed to display an iPhone screen on a projector in order to teach a group how to use an app. This works flawlessly to display any lightning product via VGA. The HDMI adapter is also great if you have that port available.
