I picked up a Mac mini and it’s easily one of the most impressive computers I’ve used, especially for its size. It’s incredibly fast, quiet, and power-efficient, and it handles everything I throw at it—multitasking, work apps, and media—without breaking a sweat. What really stands out is how compact it is while still feeling like a full desktop replacement. It runs cool, takes up almost no desk space, and pairs easily with whatever monitor and accessories you already have. macOS feels smooth and responsive, and everything just works. For the performance, reliability, and value, the Mac mini punches way above its weight. If you want serious power in a small, clean setup, it’s hard to beat.

If you have already have the peripherals like a mouse, keyboard and a monitor, this is easily the only computer that most people will need for several years to come (5+ years or even longer). Since the introduction of Apple's M series silicone in 2020, it democratized the ability to own a super-computer in a tiny package, and the new M4 Mac mini is the culmination of that in a desktop class computer. Nothing can touch this in this 5x5x2 compact size for the performance and value.

Been using this product for several months now. Not only is it fast, but it’s reliable. I can run several apps all at the same time. The processor in this thing is insane.

It's a Mac mini! Replaced a 2012 Mac Mini with this M4 base model. I have only heard the fan spin up if I'm ripping a Blu-Ray while encoding another video with Handbrake. Otherwise in use as a Plex Media Server it serves and transcodes 4K content silently. It also, mercifully, didn't have macOS 26 so I don't have to look at Liquid Glass design language. This sits as a headless unit for me, but hasn't let me down and I don't anticipate it will for quite some time. Price matched down to four hundred to match Micro Center on sale after Christmas.

I've been using the Mac mini with 16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD, paired with an OWC Express 1TB as the main hard drive, and I couldn't be happier with its performance. Setting up the new hard drive right from the start is crucial to avoid any repeated steps, but once that's done, the experience is seamless. The Mac mini has been a powerhouse for my needs, from video editing dirt bike trail riding videos to everyday browsing. I use mine for work and often run multiple windows simultaneously, yet I haven't even come close to maxing out the 16GB of RAM. The CPU is the real star here—it's overkill for 99% of users and was the main reason I chose this model at its price point. You won't find anything that comes close to its performance right now. Overall, the Mac mini has exceeded my expectations and has been a reliable and efficient machine for all my tasks.

had an old pc tower so this is amazing! easy to install and use and is fast. purchased on sale which made it easier for me to decide to update my old pc

So far, so good. Set up was a small challenge but the Apple service folks were outstanding. Once they helped me get going, all is well. A little learning curve changing over from MS but well worth it. If you are thinking of switching from the Microsoft monarchy, DO IT! You will not be sorry. The previous comments are in regard to PC itself. As for the Best Buy team, the first person I dealt with was a little distant and uninterested in assisting me. However, a young man came to my aid and helped me tremendously. He saved the sale as I was on the verge of leaving to seek purchase elsewhere.

This is my 3rd Mac Mini to date. I love the small size and modular architecture. My prior Mini was a 32Gb Intel 2018 mini, which was obsoleted with the latest OS update. My biggest complaint about this and prior Mini's is the difficulty & cost in upgrading. Apple charges an unreasonable premium for even small incremental increases in size to the disc - an update that cannot be done by users w/o voiding the warranty. To mitigate that, I also bought a Crucial SSD to fit in an external Satechi USB-C Docking station. My plan is to make this external disc the new boot disc. It sure isn't as easy to do today as it was when I bought my first Mac SE!

No regrets, works really well. Easy to set up. With an add-on docking station with external ssd, saves some money compared to getting a higher RAM

Super great value for a great price. Everything works really well and is a huge upgrade from my 7-year-old PC. Storage is lacking, but not a big deal if you connect an external hard drive to it. The build quality is also really great.

I recently picked one up, and it's been quite the game changer for me. I love its compact size. It's seriously like this little powerhouse that fits right into my workspace without taking up much room at all. I can easily tuck it into my desk setup, and it looks super sleek. Setting it up was a breeze, too. I'm not the most tech-savvy person, but the process was pretty straightforward. I plugged it into my monitor, connected the keyboard and mouse, and it was practically ready to go. Everything runs so smoothly. I've been editing photos and streaming videos without any issues, which is pretty amazing considering how small this thing is.

I love my little Mac Mini. I bought it mainly for email that I don't know what it is. I had an email take out my PC and Apple can't get viruses. But it is totally fast! And so compact. I was able to boost it to 1tb with the addition of an external hard drive that is the same exact size and mounts to the bottom of it. It also gives me 2 aditional USB plug ins. If you want a fast, awesome, compact computer, you need a Mac Mini. Highly recommend it.

This is for the lowest-end version of the mini. I replaced an older M1 mini with this one. I was surprised by how small the new Mac mini is compared to the previous models. I already had a high-speed external 1TB Flash drive and a 2TB USB hard drive as a backup drive, so a larger internal Flash drive was not needed. The switch from 8GB to 16GB RAM was welcome. The switch to all USB-C interfaces was also welcome, but it meant I had to use a couple of USB-A to USB-C adaptor plugs for my existing devices. The upgrade process was painless and only took a few minutes. The significant speed bump from the M1 to M4 was immediately noticeable. I have owned Mac computers since 1985. They have been the most reliable electronic devices I have ever owned.

The Mac Mini 4 is a powerhouse in a sleek, compact design. It delivers lightning-fast performance for everything from multitasking to creative projects, stays whisper-quiet! 16gb ram as standard is amazing!!! Does everything you need it to do!

Amazing value for a small desktop usage. M4 chip has plenty of power to deliver consistent performance for daily usage. I bought it to be my personal photo editing rig with multiple hard drives plugged into it. When i first got it, it seem fine but after couple weeks I started to experience problems. HDMI to HDMI is a problem for me, for some reason it causes the Mac Mini to restart every time I typed my password to log in. I tried multiple cables but not one seemed to work until i ordered a high bandwith usb c to hdmi cable. Worked for a week and started experiencing an issue where it would restart every every time i finish entering my pw to log in. it got to the point where i had to request a return. On top of that when I ordered from Bestbuy online, the person who processed my order at the warehouse scanned one of the other numbers instead of the serial number. I couldn't return it in store through geek squad but instead i had to ship it back to best buy. Hopefully I get my refund so I can either purchase it again or buy an m4 mb air instead.
