Customers are saying

Customers are pleased with the Mac mini's performance, ease of use, price, and compact size. The design and M2 chip are also well-received, along with its simple setup and power. However, some customers feel the RAM and storage are insufficient, and there could be more ports.

    Order was returned and canceled

I ordered the computer with projected delivery date of Monday. Best Buy apparently uses Roadie to deliver products. On Sunday, I received a text from Roadie saying it's being delivered soon. I texted back that the business is not open on Sunday, please deliver on Monday. Instead, the driver returned the product and the order was canceled. Seriously? Who does this? So, Monday I tried to re-order and the sale was now over (canceled early for some reason). What a pain!

Best buy used the roadie system to send me this item. They sent it back to Best Buy and Best Buy won't refund the money. Do not buy anything online because you don't get refunded. Another way of saying this is that best buy thanks me for my loyalty and steals from me while saying it.

Brought this for kids trying to get better control of their usage throught screen time. It NEVER works!!! set down time btw 10pm-7am, it disables all the Apps instnatly regardless out of the downtime window. Set app time limit, it obviously pass the limit but still not lock it(I did check block at downtime) I even called customer support and talked, screen share with them for 2 hours and they can not resolve it either. If you plan to use the scrren time like me, stay away from this piece of *

Bought this item thinking it was fast only to find out it is only half as fast as the M1 mini. Otherwise, would have kept it. Not to mention the problem having to use a password, wheather I wanted to or not. And it kept rejecting my password and I cound't get in on bootup. It let me in once in the process and dozens of times not. I took it back. Oh yes. It is very very quiet.

Cheap parts used in 128 model buyer beware

This desktop is a good value if you just need an computer with basic use in mind. Apple put slower and cheaper parts into the base model. It is half the speed of the more expensive model. It cannot be upgraded and is a poor value for power users or heave multi taskers. This machine lags a lot and take forever to do simple tasks in finder. Avoid this and get the pro or the 512 if you must.

I had many issues with my Mac mini involving wifi connections. The Mac Mini M2 cannot automatically connect to a network on which the 2.4ghz and 5ghz are on the same network. You have to have a network with separate 2.4ghz and 5ghz bandwidths for the Mac to connect properly.

It has been over a year since I've been using the Mac Mini, and it has not disappointed me one bit. My workflow includes word docs, spreadsheets, presentations, emails, etc. with the occasional video edit. Sure, 8GB RAM may be restrictive, and more SSD space would have been appreciated, but I am not in the habit of doing multi-page editing or have dozens of tabs open at one time. I use a portable SSD and it works just fine. In addition, I appreciate the space-saving form factor and beautiful silver finish. I have it hooked up to a 4k monitor and it drives it smoothly. I would not recommend it for AAA gaming, but lower spec-hungry games will do fine. In the end, this is the perfect PC for anyone who prefers the Mac ecosystem.

I bought the Mac Mini M2, 8GB, 256 ram with a little bit of trepidation. Would it be enough to replace my iMac, circa 2017, with 2TB drive and 24GB ram? Well, so far, yeah. It's faster and more responsive than my iMac. Photoshop and Lightroom are both loaded on and are as responsive, if not more so. I have 20 plus Chrome tabs open at any one time, plus PDFs, and Outlook and no slow downs or freezes. I'm using a 5+ year old 1080 27 screen and the text is pretty sharp. I do plan to upgrade the screen. The only thing that makes we worry is the storage. Still don't understand why Apple sets a base of 256 when the price of storage is low. I hate having to manage storage, but am making a point of moving documents and PDFs over to iCloud. I'm totally impressed with the system. For $600, it's one of the best computing deals out there. For sure you can spend about $300 on an Apple keyboard, trackpad and mouse, if you want all Apple with it. But can't see why it wouldn't work with any bluetooth device. And monitors are certainly cheap enough, although Apple's high-end screens are certainly attractive.

So in love with my new Apple mini. I connected it to my monitor that isn’t an Apple product and I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. It’s a great investment.
