I purchased this desktop version after returning 2 different laptops that did not have enough memory for me. This 1 TB mac mini, is exactly what I needed. It's less than half the price of the laptops and has more than double the memory. It also takes up very little space on my desk. I love that it has 4 USB connections instead of just the two on the laptops.

The Mini has all late necessary connections, speed and the small size is great. Plus I can use any size and run with dual monitors. Great solution for everyday work and basic graphics. To run the newer versions of Photoshop and big megapixel camera, a macbook pro would be a better solution.

The MacMini is an excellent desktop computer for the vast majority of the public. Surfing the internet, writing documents, creating spreadsheets, working with photographs and even simple video editing. I would suggest upgrading to the model with the 1TB Fusion drive if that is within budget. You will see the difference if working with demanding applications.

Have used a MacBook pro laptop for many years, but wanted a desktop without spending a lot. This turned out to be a really excellent buy. It does everything I need it for, and still has power to spare. Looks great and takes up very little space. Would highly recommend this computer.

Loading my new mini-mac from my old mac laptop was a piece of cake. Easiest transition to a new computer I have had. Faster, no fuss and does the job. Small footprint so sits easily on my desk. I had monitor and keyboard so just needed the new system so it was best bang for the buck.

The machine took a while to get going, in fact i got a lil rainbow spinning wheel and thought it froze, but after a while it started and been working fine since. Its very quiet if not silent, takes very little room and its fast enough for everyday tasks. I would recomend Blue Tooth periferals so you dont take up the few USB slots available. Set up was super easy so all in all I'm satisfied with this computer.

This is a good option if you don't want a big desktop chassis taking up space in your home. The unit runs well and Yosemite so far looks impressive. The only issue I have right now is that the fonts are not as sharp as I think they could be on my monitor (this same monitor I also use with a Windows machine and I have no issues with the fonts). I think this can be resolved by changing some settings in the OS.

Great computer, compact, fast, easy to set up and easy to upgrade

Sold my Mac Air to get this. I like desktop computers better as larger screens are easier to use. This computer is awesome!! Super fast and is great for moderate computer use. I work from home most of the time so this computer gets used a lot. Way better price than an iMac. I have it paired with a 27 inches monitor. Get it!!! Wont be disappointed!!!

I have a MacBook Pro but wanted to use a large monitor and upgrade my hard drive and memory. Instead of paying to have my laptop upgraded, I decided to get a Mac Mini instead. I love the size and ports. So far it works as well as all the other Apple products I own. It is fast and does everything I need it to do. I am very pleased with it.

I got tired of my cheap Windows 10 laptop and decided it was time to try the Mac. I already had a monitor and all of the peripherals so I decided to give the Mac Mini a shot. I first tried the base model and while it was better than my laptop, it was missing some of that oomph so I brought it back and exchanged it for this model. There's such a huge difference between the two. It's blazing fast, never freezes, the colors are fantastic and it has all the ports you need.

I bought this to keep all of our family photos and videos on. Long story short is that I have a high end MacBook Pro with a solid state drive (500GB). That isn't enough space for me to keep all of our media on and had a couple of external drives that I would plug in for media I wanted. Well one of the hard drives got corrupted (it is a small portable USB3.0 one) and I about lost all of our family photos over the last 12 years (about 21,000 photos). THANKFULLY I USED TIME MACHINE TO BACKUP MY COMPUTER AS WELL AS MY EXTERNAL HARD DRIVES (very important and please learn this lesson and save yourself from losing items that you can't get back). Time machine literally saved me! Fast forward to this computer. I wanted something small and robust that worked well; enter the MacMini. With the MacMini I have dedicated full size (non portable = more robust) hard drives plugged in now in line with a APC battery backup and this is the best way I have found to go. Pros: -great form factor and price with a decent enough spec to get most anything done that you are after -can output 4k graphics -it's a Mac and it just works as it was intended -it's plenty fast for full blown photo editing -it's acceptable for video editing (not pro level fast, but it works quite fine for what I do) -It has two Thunderbolt 2 ports (yes 20Gb/sec transfer speeds) Cons: -I wish RAM was upgradable like in the the previous model (it is NOT!) -It would be nice if Apple packaged a keyboard, mouse, etc with it (it is a computer only and you need to add your own bluetooth peripherals) Other thoughts: -Get the mid level spec one with 8GB or RAM (this one). There entry model is fine and works but with 4GB of RAM in it, I don't see it being enough for my needs in the long term. I didn't think the high level spec one offered that much performance improvement for the money. -I am currently running the MacMini on a 60" Samsung LED HD TV and the graphics are great. Will be buying a 4k soon as this computer is capable. -I am running the Server App on this as will use it as the hub for our other two MacBook Pros (2009 model and 2014 model), especially when it comes to media and file storage.

Helped the in-laws pick this out. It replaces a clunky HP that was so old it could have voted. This is sleek and peppy, and very very easy to set up, as all Apple products are. Now they have room on their desk for all their stuff. It's perfect if you have a good display and don't do real heavy tasks like gaming or video editing, etc.

Apple has done it again, small, yet fast and powerful.

This is an affordable Mac with option for upgrading to your liking. It's size is awesome and easy to move around and it will fit almost anywhere. I love that it only takes an hdmi cable for the video and sound making any newer tv capable of being a workstation. It's a lot of system wrapped up in the space of a book!!!!

This is my first ever Mac product and I simply love it. It is compact, quiet, and easy to operate. It is fast, and has plenty of memory for what I do. I also appreciate the on-line support.

One of the most practical computers from Apple, Love the small compact size and still has plenty of power to run my graphics programs. Allows me to keep somewhat up-to-date on the latest tech and software, without breaking a practical budget.

The mini is the cheapest option to get as far as a new Mac is concerned. This is the middle level and performs a little better than my wife's model 2010 MacBook Pro. Only problem is that it will not wake my hdmi monitor after sleeping, but hopefully Mac will address this with a patch soon.

I finally made the jump to Apple and have not regretted it. It has speed, great graphics, intuitive controls, great form factor, and is very small and quiet. Everything just seems to work, as opposed to many experiences I have had with PCs.

I bought this for my home use and it does everything as the imac and only difference is you have to purchase the keyboard, mouse and monitor separately or use what you have. I had all the accessories and made sense to buy onky mini and my existing monitor worked and i bought the mouse and keyboard combo from store. Hindsight, i should've just got the Apple keyboard and mouse, but its all the same. FYI i purchased the apple trackpad and keyboard separately just becasue the full feature and feel of Mac. Don't be afraid to buy this for the fraction of cost for the same power, memory and storage
