I teach a 6 weeks Music Composition and Recording course to my Instrumental Music Students at the High school where I work. I have quite a few years of personal experience with recording digital audio so I decided to share my knowledge with my students. We had been using a PC in our class that was becoming extremely unreliable. I switched over to a Mac Pro 6 years ago because of similar problems with recording digital audio on my PC so I decided it was time that we made the same switch over at school. We are a small school on a small budget so I thought the Mac Mini would be a good entry level computer for us. As I expected, the Mac Mini has worked flawlessly with our recording software (Logic Pro X). My students have been excited about the new platform, the GUI and the recording software. The only thing this Mac Mini model doesn't come with is an SSD drive, which would speed up our workflow. We'll upgrade the HD at a later point in time. Excellent product!!

The mini box works well as expected. The CPU and graphics are super good. The only limitation is the hard drive. 5900 RPM is kind of slow, better to have fusion disk or SSD. Overall, I will recommend this Mini.

Love the stability of this machine, but with this version, you can't upgrade the RAM, and to upgrade to add an SSD, it's really difficult and expensive. If you want to upgrade, just pay more for the fusion drive.

I love the size and while not my primary computer for work purposes, I find the system to be great. The only bad thing I have to say about the product is that I wish you could add more memory that 8GB. However, for the price it is a perfect entry into the Mac world!

Just needed a computer for Internet, kids school work, and just basics. Didn't want to pay full price on Apple Mac so got the mini with a 17 in monitor for half the cost.

The mini Mac is always what I thought super fast and space saving desktop.

Love that you can save some money buying this Mac Mini and get the power of the more expensive iMacs. Just need to add a screen, kybd and mouse good to go.

Great except having to figure out how to make the text bigger to display on a 75" TV and the lack of easy to use keyboards. Other then that a lot of power for not a lot of money compared to other macs

I already have an oversized, superb display, fantastic sound system and a keyboard w/ mouse. This little box hides away, reducing desk clutter - a plus for me. Computing performance improved over my old intel i7 unit. And no Microsoft ! Apple MUCH easier to use. More user friendly. No spyware, malware and antivirus to run constantly. Nor updates to chase. My highest recommendation possible !

This was a great price for what I received. I purchased this to replace my aging laptop and it has been easy to use. Simple setup and smooth operation.

My third Mac mini in the last 11 or 12 years. I replace them every 5 or 6 years. Not because they break but because I treat myself. All three still work fine. The latest is a good upgrade from my 2009 version. Performs well plenty of disk space. You will enjoy it

I use this with my 16 TB QNAP. keep itunes and photos open so All my apps and photos get synced to my QNAP. wish it was expandable (RAM). but so far performance is ok.
