It is not the fastest computer in the world but since I use it for Office, web browsing, and needed a home computer I chose this. My iMac from 2006 and had and died this fulfills my need. Together with the monitor and HDMI cable it cost $500 less than a similar iMac. Since Macs die so soon and cannot be repaired why waste money on anything more fancy? The OS said it is from 2014 and therefore does not have the automatic virus scan. The first time I logged into the Safari a phishing email turned up telling me my Mac was infected and I needed to download something (for a price) immediately.. I called Apple support who walked me through downloading the virus/malware detector and it solved the problem. iMacs come automatic with the malware scan but for the mini you have to download it. It is free for the life of the mini.

What can I say? It’s a Mac and does Mac stuff. It is good for all Mac uses.

compact so it save much desk space the down fall is it has no CD drive .

The Mac mini is awesome, easy to learn and use. Very small and powerful.

Works great for my iTools video library and links my other apple devices to my printer

This is a nice product. Does everything I need it to do. Haven't had any issue with it.

This was ideal for me making the switch from windows to Apple without having to fork out alot of money. I'd recommend the 2.6 GHz processor which runs pretty quick for normal web browsing. Haven't installed any games yet to determine how it will perform.

this mini has improved video with good performance.

I bought this version of the Mac Mini because it was the last one to offer the old fashioned spinning hard drive. I'm still not a fan of SSDs. Also, last one before they added the T2 security chip (so you have the freedom to install linux on it). Very well-made and reliable machine. The only 3 major things I don't like about this version is: (1) even though they have 2 thunderbolt ports and an hdmi port, the machine only supports 2 displays; (2) there's no dvd-rom; Lastly (3) they solder the memory to the motherboard. The newer 2018 Mac Minis don't solder the memory to the motherboard, however they do solder the SSD hard drive to the motherboard (which I think is a horrible idea). That combined with the new T2 security chip made me pick the older model (this one).

Better than buying the complete Apple system. Purchased a larger screen along with it.

I swore to stay away from apple device. Iv been faithful since 2012. But I had to get this because for imovie. It works well. Its fast. The design is minimal. The colour is okay. I would have preferred a black option.

Upgraded to a new faster Mac Mini. I am tech challenged but with some advice from Best Buy employee and the Apple guy at the store I was able to install the new Mini and transfer information from my old one. I'm very happy with my new Mini.

It's impossible to get more for your money on a new apple. I love the 3 video outputs

I have a Thunderbolt monitor and had wanted to switch from Windows PC to Apple iOS. The Mac Mini handles everything I need; word processing, web-browsing, some music-editing with ease. I like the stable environment. It is a bit underpowered though. For the same price, a comparable PC would be more powerful. Overall, I'm pretty happy with this purchase.

Always been a pc user until I picked up this puppy! Mac is definitely the way to go for multi-media and music production. Hard to look back now. Best part is that bestbuy has the best prices in town. You will not lose. Best shopping

After researching Mac Mini, settled on the middle level option. Best Buy sales personnel are definitely knowledgeable when it comes to Apple products.
