This is my second Mac Mini and my first one is still up and running with no issues. I bought this one for my oldest son as a gift.

Really happy with the computer fast and hooks to a strong Wi-Fi signal and router is Down stairs opposite end of the house. Nice

Primary use is to watch streaming content - hulu, amazon, hbo, etc... The mac mini handles that just fine. Little known fact, but the mac mini sound jacks double as optical spdif out - just need the round 3.2mm to square adapter. You can pipe ac3 streams out directly without processing for formats like dts and dolby. Mac mini does not have a dvd/bluray drive. Also apple has never been big on bluray so support for playback on external drives is weak. You will likely need a separate, standalone blu-ray/dvd player if you care for that, or go the linux route with a custom mini-atx case/build.

As an owner of many Apple products, I was looking for a replacement for our 7 year old 21" iMac for under $1000. Decided to purchase the Refurbished "Open Box" through Best Buy. Set it up with a 27" AOC monitor, a bluetooth Apple Keyboard and Mouse. Have a complete system for the fraction of the price of a new iMac. If you are a Mac user looking for a affordable system, than this is the best way to go.

Bought the $499 version and used it for a couple of days with the intention of using it solely for developing apps with Xcode. Worked fine for that, but I found it a little slow and expensive considering you need a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Best Buy was running a sale on the Mac Air, which came with a free pair of Beats 3 Solo headphones. So, I returned the Mac mini and paid $300 more for the Mac Air, which is portable and comes with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse built in. I hooked up the Mac Air to external monitor, keyboard, and mouse and the Air is faster than Mac mini.

I found the Mac mini easy to set up, but have not had time yet to take advantage of all of its features ... Guess that can take years!

For those not wanting to put all their hardware eggs into an "all-in-one" bundle, Apple has packed all necessary hardware into a compact, put-just-about-anywhere alternative. Plenty of USB and thunderbolt ports for peripherals. Adding a separate monitor of my choice, rather than Apple's, and an optional CD/DVD drive for ripping music, etc. makes it complete. OS X operating system and included apps provide a full functional platform for the average computer user, saving additional purchase/install/set-up inconveniences.

I am a die hard Apple fan. When my 7 year old MacBook Pro crashed out on me I decided to replace it with a Mac mini. I hook it up to my 55inch tv and it's the best thing ever. Love being able to have the Apple software without having to spend a couple thousand on a new laptop. One thing they don't tell you, when you're hooking it up to a monitor or tv using hdmi, you have to plug the hdmi into the Mac mini first, then plug it into the monitor. I spent a good hour frustrated with why it wouldn't work....

I bought this as my second Mac Mini. The machine is essentially a MacBook Pro Retina without the screen, keyboard and trackpad. The internal hard-drvie and memory are non-upgradable. I attached an external dual-SSD Raid drive which gives me 750 Mb/sec read time, the same as the MacBook Pro. But that's not a cheap upgrade. The Thunderbolt 2 enclosure sells at a premium. At $300 plus the cost of the SSD's, that's more that the price of the Mac Mini! But I spend a lot of time using it, so it's OK for me.

I was never a mac user...however, I have come to love the connection with all my devices. Also, takes minimal space on my desk.

I love my Mac mini, It was easy to set up. I was able to select which monitor I wanted to use. Great product.

Apple is best. The color is ok, works on any tv monitor.

I was looking for a new computer to keep up with photo editing of large raw files. iphone, ipad... apple was the obvious choice. I didn’t want to spend so much on the new imac, but i wanted new. I worried about the type of disk it is as i had heard they did not perform as well. It’s been perfect for me, saved on a new 27” hp monitor at Best Buy too! Try it... you will like it.

In the past 10 years i have had 4 macbook laptops. They ALL went bad. This lil thing is still going strong.

Great little computer. I didn't need a monitor or keyboard, so I got more for my money. Plenty of USB ports. Very fast as well.

Small but very powerful…portable so u can take along with u and hook it up to any hd tv,use any keyboard and mouse…very happy

This replaced my 2009 mini which was beginning to give us fits. Very nice machine.
