This is a very competent little Mac. I opted for the i5 (2.6) version because the reviews for the lowest end model kept complaining about the slow performance. I also wanted to extra RAM since it isn't upgradeable any longer. My only complaint is the 5400 RPM platter drive, I'm spoiled by SSD performance when booting a system and launching applications. I will be upgrading the drive later, right now it's working fine, very responsive in all other ways. The onboard graphics work well with light gaming, better than I expected it would. I split the drive into two equal partitions and installed Windows 10 Home on boot camp, so for me I have the best of all worlds.

This Mac is perfect for our basic needs and our small office area! Compatible with almost any monitor, this is sure to be perfect for home/office/school use!

replacing my macbook to mac mini. I love it. It's fast, compact. Have been running very smooth since the first day.

I managed to pick one of these up for open box cost. I was very glad to get the 8GB model. Honestly despite having a 5400 RPM drive this machine is pretty quick to boot up. A negative is that the RAM is not removable, and you are stuck with this HDD. Overall, the performance is good for basic PC usage, you are getting nothing in terms of a discrete GPU and the Intel Iris graphics simply do not work well on Mac OS. For general computing this system works well. For the price Apple could at least add the video connection cables. If you need this for iMovie or other Mac apps then it is good for you, but a power user might want to pick up a PC with a viable GPU.

It is better then Mac Pro laptop, can connect to your tv screen. I like it!

I had a PC that wasn't working that well so I needed to buy a new computer I thought why not try an Apple product. So far no complaints!

I've had my mac mini going on 3 years now, and I've never had a problem, unlike my old Dell computer. I love the functionality of macs.

ive tried hp -- gateway -- and many others... but finally tried the apple pc.... it totally outperforms the others. i didnt want to spend the extra $$$ but finally after so many people telling me APPLE is the only way to go.. i am now a believer... try it you wont be disappointed!

Already had a nice screen so I bought this for my wife to use at her desk. The Fusion drive is okay, but I'll probably upgrade it to an SSD down the road. Overall a solid Mac.

A Christmas gift. PC user many years. I ve only just connected mini. Plugged it in I was running in less then 5 minutes and i'm a poke. The size was a winner right off the bat. No towers less wires , a joy so far.

Best way to get into Apple computers if you already have your monitor and keyboard and mouse

I just purchased the MacMini on 7/7/15. It wouldn't connect to existing monitor that worked perfectly with previous computer. We tried 2 different high-end HDMI cables. It connected and displayed properly with the TV, but not the monitor. I googled the problem and ended up on Apple's message boards, where I found this is a common problem with the Mini, that manifests in many different variations from refusing to connect at start up to not waking up to a slew of Apple servicing replacing parts only to find it still doesn't work. I don't think I can post a link here but if you want to read the discussion I found, go to: discussions (dot# apple #dot) com/message28544873. Since there are no other negative reviews here, I can only assume the problem is random among units and I just have one of the bad ones - but the hassles to try to fix it are just way too much for me to keep this. We are returning it tonight and will consider a different computer.

I bought this Mac Mini to replace a full PC tower. The price was great and it blows away the PC in form and function.

I admit I have been a Mac user for several years. Recently, my girlfriend finally decided to update her aging Dell computer, and as a surprise, I got the Mini as a birthday present for her. She loved it! Thanks to the product reviews on the website, I was able to decide what model I should get, and as usual, BestBuy had no problem price matching to a unit I had found elsewhere. Very pleasant shopping experience, and an extremely happy girlfriend.

You can not go wrong with this mac. If you are an everyday user this is the perfect computer for you. Have it hooked up to hdmi on a samsung 27" monitor and picture is flawless. My kid plays minecraft and it flows with no problem. Fastest internet experience I have ever seen. My hp was 16 gb ram but this thing feels 20 times faster! You can not go wrong with this computer.
