When arriving to my local best buy I asked, "what is the next best thing to a MacBook without spending that sort of money?". The store associate was honest with me and said, nothing is going to last like a Mac will. That s extremely true. My last Mac lasted 7yrs and I was rough on it. I'm very impressed with the quality of these computers. I won't buy an apple phone to save my life, but the computers are the best on the market in my opinion.

I got this laptop for my niece to use in school. She is in college and needed something a little smaller than the 15.3 Dell she had to cart to class. Also she had complained about the battery life on the Dell (maybe lasted 3-4 hours). on this new Mac she says it lasted all day! She is happy. I am happy!

I love the Macbooks, especially this light weight easy to carry around 12 inch. One thing I have to say is that the toggle for extended ports is pretty annoying to carry around. I guess I can get use to it given that this is such a light weight notebook. The keypad is different than anything I had before which takes some getting use to. Its the perfect combination of a simple laptop + ipad in one. The screen resolution is really awesome & makes watching moves on the plan great!

Have been very satisfied with the computer but don't forget to buy adapter for USB when you buy it!

I purchased this one for my wife to replace her old macbook pro 13 retina. She likes the new one very much. This model is very lightweight, and powerful. Her main use case is browsing, watching YouTube, and that's very suitable. And remember, you can hold it using only two fingers!

I bought my new MacBook after having had an Air, Pro and now a MacBook. I am absolutely in love with it! It's thiner and lighter than my old Aire and it does so much more (but still doesn't have all the things I don't need like my old Pro does) I could not be happier with this purchase.

Since I just recently set up the product I would say so far so good. the screen is excellent and the full size keyboard on a 12in. product is very computer friendly. I am and have been a windows user the apple seems to be fairly straight forward. Amazingly slim and light weight, nice product.

I bought my MacBook for school and love it. Not does exactly what I need it to, it's small and very portable, lightweight, and extremely easy to take to class. The only downside is that it does not have any ports, but if you are like me the one USBC to USB adapter is all you need. It does not have a huge storage capacity, but external or cloud storage is just as accessible. Overall, I would suggest this for anyone looking for a small laptop to easily carry around with them.

Works good and reliable. First time I have purchased a Mac. Always have been a Microsoft guy. Made the switch before I got to old to learn the Apple's OS. Bought for work based on recommendation of a friend and am enjoying the stability and display. It's a solid machine. Drawback is lack of ports. You will have to buy a few different adapters to use external devices. Drives up cost and prices can get misplaced if not careful. I bought during a sale so saved $300.

I bought a macbook 2016 and it has opened up a whole new world. I am 50+, have been using an HP for 7 years and never knew the possibilities that were out there and accessible. I do now. Best purchase I've made in my adulthood.

Finally a machine that allows the user the benefits of both a Mac Pro and an Air. This machine has finally created a middle ground between Apple's two flagship computers, especially in the more portable 12" monitor. Perhaps not as powerful as my Pro, but still worthy of the Apple badge.

This thing is plenty fast, the display is awesome, and its really light. Couldn't be happier with the purchase.

While the keyboard takes some getting used to, the laptop is one of the best I've ever used. It is so easy to navigate, and feels like a quality product. The design is perfect, the interface is flawless, and it is everything you love about a Macbook, in a smaller, sleeker package.

This is my favorite Macbook to date! The form factor fits on airplane tables and small college desks. I had the previous verision which was relased in 2015 and it was also the base model. The spec bump in this is defeinlty noticable and appreciated. These computers are not work horses but they are very quick at doing most work; I run parallels with windows 10 with almost no slowing down. I would suggest the 2016 base to any 2015 macbook simply because of the updated grahpics, just my two cents.

My daughter needed a computer for college. I choose this one for multiple reasons: size, speed, memory, storage and color - it needed to match her phone color. She has been thrilled with it and I am the best dad in the world!

Beautiful display and ease of use Apple is known for. I actually bought a windows laptop a few months ago, not wanting to spend the money on a mac- it was heavy, cumbersome and the windows platform drove me crazy with how cluttered and complicated it is. But I love the Macbook!

My daughter has to bring device to school and the size is perfect to put in backpack.

Excellent, light-weight, sleek, fast, clear. I can't say enough about this device. Absolutely amazing device for my middle-schooler. Best laptop I have ever owned. Added Microsoft Office so we can continue to do school projects in the program we are most comfortable with.

This is a great computer. My wife uses it for everything. Has great battery life, it's lightweight, and does all you would expect from a Mac.
